The Change
(2023)

Shame
Started well, as Bridget Christie is obviously quite a funny/witty individual as she showed on taskmaster, but just became an anti male, lazy comedy, displaying all the usual tropes of these 'enlightened times'.

I'm hoping that Bridget Christie had to agree to include all the above mentioned nonsense in order to get a Tv debut series commissioned & goes on to bigger & better things because she is better than his series descended into with too many 'tick list' roles.

Liza Tarbuck is great but you have to feel for some of the other actors who may have questioned their involvement as the series developed .

In the Footsteps of Killers
(2021)

Pointless & lazy
Another one of these 'investigation' doc's that is obviously made more for the benefit of the 2 presenters than the viewer or the families of the cases they 'investigate'.

Nothing new discovered, lots of rehashing of existing evidence, thrown together with a lot of conjecture, puzzled expressions, faux outrage that the police haven't solved these cases. Throw in a bit of wokeness (Police didn't care enough because of Class prejudice or Gender prejudice etc) and it all felt a bit pointless.

David Wilson does what he always does in all of the shows he appears in (& there are plenty) & Emilia Fox is, unfortunately, as good in this as she is in Silent Witness.

It felt a little uncomfortable that families of victims had wounds re-opened in interviews, which I'm sure they hoped would lead to something, just to make a TV programme that offered nothing new.

Our Ladies
(2019)

Loved it!
One of those rare occasions of not expecting too much from a film and then being knocked sideways by the quality of the acting, story, script, music, singing etc etc

Completely immersed from start to finish & disappointed when it ended. Including the end song.

Well done to all concerned.

Coarse on occasions but funny with it. The Northern soul club made me want to be there.

The Resident: Mina's Kangaroo Court
(2021)
Episode 2, Season 4

Had to shoehorn the agenda into this episode
The raptor does a complete character bypass to accommodate the, now obligatory in every entertainment show, woke agenda by going against his previously strongly held principles because Cain called racism. Fortunately Okafor pulled it back.

Let's hope that was just a temporary blip & the show can be saved from the wokeness.

The Unicorn: It's the Thought That Counts
(2020)
Episode 3, Season 2

Dear oh dear oh dear
Been really enjoying the show with its' easy charm and engaging characters until this woke nonsense.

Not needed.

This episode has broken the relationship I had with this show & not sure it can be mended as I'll now always be wary they are trying to force an agenda on to me.

What a shame.

A Sunburnt Christmas
(2020)

Great Christmas film
What a great film, puts a smile on your face.

Some great acting, well rounded film for all ages.

Give it a watch.

Ted Lasso
(2020)

Superb
A real gem.

Comedy with heart.

Haven't enjoyed a show, and looked forward to each new episode, as much for years.

Barry: ronny/lily
(2019)
Episode 5, Season 2

Brilliant!
Absolutely glued to the screen. Great episode that had fantastic action combined with wit & heart. Thanks

The Good Doctor: Aftermath
(2019)
Episode 12, Season 2

Gone downhill badly
Used to be a great hospital based show about the special skill sets Shawn possessed to overcome his autism in a 'Sherlock' kind of way but is now just a social justice warrior platform chiding its' viewers week after week about how they should think. All about people's individual issues and axes they want to grind and very little about the god doctor.

Difficult to watch without feeling lectured to theses days

The Young Offenders
(2018)

Stepped up
This episode moved the series up from being an amusing portrayal of Irish teenage scallys growing up to a genuinely emotional journey through loss & love.

Caught me by surprise and I loved it. Laughed & cried.
