Off the rails This show is a train off the rails, making it hard to enjoy - it's too unbelievable. The story lines are good, so I can't understand why the creators move through them so very fast... where's the development? Why does each episode have multiple major things happen? Why do story lines that could last multiple episodes come and go in one? Off the rails!
The hype about Yellowstone made me excited to start the series, but I find myself hate-watching it, and making fun of it. I doubt I'll stick with it, I'm 3/4th through Season 2. I'm shocked by the strong reviews. However, I will say that the acting, production, setting, and music are excellent, but that's true of a lot of shows - shows that also have good pacing and story development. (Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men...)
If you like to see bad thing, after bad thing, after bad thing happen, and bad person, after bad person, after bad person behaving deplorably - you'll enjoy Yellowstone!
