Come As You Are
(2019)

Hillarous
This Movie made me laugh more than any movie I have seen in the last few years. A virtually unknown cast that nailed it. The acting was superb and every actor cast perfectly. The story was happy and sad and funny and real. It showed the struggles that people with disabilities go through in a real life way. If the budget was a bit higher this had the potential to be a blockbuster.

A Fall from Grace
(2020)

ignore the 1 star ratings......
Then ignore all the 10 star ratings, anyone who thinks this movie was the worst movie ever or the best movie ever does not deserve to write a review.

it was fairly predictable with a few plot holes but considering the whole thing was shot in just 5 hours was impressive.

5.6

The Lurker
(2019)

pass on this one
Good lead actress but after that not much to write home about. story made very little sense. and the very last kill was pointless and stupi the way it came about

2.9

Buffaloed
(2019)

a unique and fun movie
The acting and story line here were great. A great cast and kept me laughing the whole time.

After Midnight
(2019)

UNique in its own way
If you read all the bad reviews it becomes clear that they missed half the movie and the other half blew right over the heads. If you miss a key part then you wont understand parts later on. Also I believe that people going into this expecting a horror may have felt they were tricked. It really was not a bad movie...

I originally rated this a 4.9 but after a re-watch moved it up to a 5.9 The last scene is brilliant and I had missed a couple things during the first watch.

5.9

Eat Brains Love
(2019)

they ran out of money and had to cut the ending short...
Or that is how it seemed.

this zom-com was typical. average jokes, average cgi, average acting, average kill shots. i was getting into it and was excited to see what was about to happen... when all the sudden the credits started rolling.

hmmm sequel? or sopranos ending?

Blowing Up Right Now
(2019)

It takes a major event in our lives to get us all out of our comfortable ruts...
This movie was a realistic take on every relationship that has gotten too comfortable. It takes 1 mistake, or 1 natural disaster, or 1 death or any big lifetime struggle to force 2 people to see what they have or what they want. To see that they might already be with the person they not only want to live with but also would die for and with.

This movie was unique from the start and as it reached its conclusion I was about to write it off as just another movie. Then the last 5 minutes happened and my score went from a 5.1 to a 6.1.

Good date night movie.

6.1

Luce
(2019)

i lit the wick but the fireworks were duds
This could have easily been an 8 or higher from me. the pace of the movie was great. it built up suspense and just when the big bang was supposed to happen...well it didn't. I kind of wish the last scene of jogging had Luce hit by a car driven by the teacher. this would have been more satisfying.

still ok but dissapointing end.

6.9

Depraved
(2019)

A tale of a broken heart through Frankenstein's eyes
This movie surprised me tremendously. What I thought was going to be some psycho thriller about a mad man that pieced together parts of people to create a monster, turned out to be a heartbreaking movie through the eyes of the creation. And those who created him were the true monsters. The ending was happy and sad and made me feel something I havent in a long time.

Give this unique movie a chance.

7.2

Bully
(2018)

typical coming of age bully movie
It was a nice family type movie my only problem is it is not realistic as in most bullying cases.. other kids don't look out for the bully in fear that they will be shunned. Most bullying movies are like this but in actuality the person being bullied does not have the support of other students.

Some light comedy and a few surprise actors brought the grade up

5.2

McDick
(2017)

Not great but had a few moments
I feel throughout the movie that the main actor has kind of a will ferrell feel to him. The story line is not that bad and the acting is average. But it kept my attention to the end and although some parts were just ridiculous. All in all... it could have been worse lol

4.5

Alien Outbreak
(2020)

good for indi movie
In fact probably one of the better indie b movies for aliens. CGI was good, twist was good... but that is pretty much the end of the good and must be where all of the budget went. acting sub par but kept me interested.

4.9

This Is Our Home
(2019)

creepy and confusing
I was intrigued where the story was going but disapointed with the end. i wish it was another 15 minutes longer and i got more answers but what can u do.

5.1

Come to Daddy
(2019)

great movie ...if you have an attention span
But if you get distracted easily or zone out for a bit you will most likely lose patience with the movie

great flick that will leave you wondering wtf

6.9

Give Me Liberty
(2019)

fake news
Weird movie that kept me intrigued like when peter griffin fights the chicken. i swear he says he will be there in 10 minutes 54 times in this movie.

weird but i could not turn away from this strange group

6.6

Holiday
(2018)

not fort the faint of heart
It amuses me when many commentors rate this low because of a rape scene. like movies should just ignore this kind of stuff like it never happens. suck it up butter cups. bad things happen in life. if you ignore them they dont go away.

over-all this movie kept my attention as the lead actress made her journey from half innocent to full blown evil.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
(2019)

Don't compare this too won't you be my neighbor
Many people are making the comparison and it does not make sense to me.

That was a documentary about mr. rogers while this is a drama made in holly wood about his relationship with a journalist.

How you can say this movie is bad because you watched the other one first and expected something similar is ridiculous.

apples to oranges

This movie was superb and Hanks did an amazing job of portraying Mr R as sometimes I even forgot I was watching tom.

thanks for the memories

8.1

Blood Falls
(2018)

film school year 1 project
Probably semester 1 project. possibly the worst camera work i have ever seen. it was nice having regular people star instead of beautiful people. just make sure they can act next time

2.9

Ms. Purple
(2019)

makes u cherish the things you have
This movie has been on my to watch list for a few months. i really didn't think it would be great but i was way wrong. a very powerful story with an incredible actress that makes you cherish the things you have. A very common story in asian families to take care of your parents yourself opposed to putting them in a home or hospice. it shows the burden on family and the guilt that comes with it.

7.2

The Best People
(2017)

not a bad wedding comedy
Every wedding comedy goes through the same story arc so not much originality there. yet the sporatic comedy was pretty good. i enjoyed the actors and felt they were all cast perfectly

6.1

Unholy Night
(2019)

ok then...
Exactly what you would expect from a movie with a $20,000 budget. some amusing kill scenes, sub par acting and an absent plot.

3.3

Black Flowers
(2018)

like a car accident... i could not look away
The story was decent but everything else was very bad. such bad acting and transitions from story to story. a lot didnt make sense. Ending went against what they were fighting for the whole time.

so now it is normal to have children with 3 eyes?

3.4

The Jesus Rolls
(2019)

great cast in this strange movie
The amazing cast and unique cinematography and plot made this an instant cult classic. it felt like a pointless journey that didn't try to rush me or dictate anything to me. it just wanted me to sit back and enjoy... and i did.

6.2

Into the Dark: Culture Shock
(2019)
Episode 10, Season 1

the bad reviews are from politically biased people
If you have a brain and can leave politics out of things then you will enjoy this movie. If you are triggered by politics then avoid.. especially the credit scenes.

Personaly i thought it was a unique movie and the concept kept me entertained throughout.
