OMG i had to review this. Its honestly one of the worst movies ive ever seen.
I cant even summarise the plot because there isn't one. Every scene seems completely unrelated to the previous. We have no idea who anyone is, what their motivations are or what they are even doing there. The script is as bad, it feels like it was written by a teenager with no writing experience, with mumbo jumbo piled in that even the most woo believers would have trouble understanding and accepting.
It feels like it was meant to be a horror, which is odd to start with as Hellboy is usually more of a superhero and would appeal to a much wider audience, but if it was done well, a horror would be fine, but it was so ridiculously over the top acted with annoying background music and terrible pacing that it was more like a comedy in places.
The lead actor was Ok i guess, but nothing special and the make up was good, but it was such a car crash of a movie and wayy too slow + boring that i couldn't even bring myself to watch it to the end. So it may have improved, but if i have to watch half a snore fest with no direction in order to hope it goes somewhere, it ain't worth watching.
And to those who said it's more like a fan movie, well that is giving it far too much credit, as some fan movies are actually really good and sometimes better than the original (take the new star wars films for example compared to the YT KOTOR fan videos). This instead feels like the type of movie someone would make while smoking a bong.

Here is a tale of an old man and a kid, with no names, (living on the streets apparently means you don't know your own name), who steal from people to get money. Yes you read that right. My question is, when people keep offering them money + a better life, why would they keep stealing instead? But that isn't the worst part. The lead adult actor seems to care for the kid a lot, yet continues to teach him stealing is ok (oh sorry...Resourcing, yes he actually says that), and when even the first couple say they would adopt him, if he wants what's best for the kid, wouldn't he agree to give him a better life?
The acting is quite good, but i couldn't get past the fact the film keeps trying to get the viewer to accept theft is acceptable + ethical + a good thing to teach a child. I couldn't even stomach the whole film, made me feel mad tbh.
My advice, ignore the fake reviews from crew + don't waste your time. This would have been way better if how it started was how it continued; a heartfelt story of striving instead of the lead trying to teach a child respect while simultaneously teaching him stealing is hilarious and an ok thing to do.
The kid is a good actor though, that's why i give it 2 stars not 1.

This movie is a few years old now, but i had to come to review it because i am furious at how low the rating is. I found this movie highly entertaining, touching at times but also funny at times, well written, original + well acted. IMO this is WAY better than that poor excuse for entertaining called 'Everything everywhere at once', which has a significantly higher score.
The movie centres around a Father who's ex wife is killed + he returns to his Daughter who's life he hasn't been in for years, but in the mean time discovers he has been gifted with super powers.
This may be a Superhero movie, but it avoids all the usual tropes of Westernised Superhero movies + blends comedy + emotion into the movie a lot more subtly than the brash Deadpool, which i actually prefer it done this way.
Ok the movie isn't perfect, it could have done with more origin of where the powers came from and i think the ending was a bit weak, but i found this movie a breath of fresh air among many other bland movies i've seen recently.
If you are reading this, i highly recommend ignoring the stupidly low rating and give it a try. I guarantee you won't be concluding this movie is unoriginal at the very least.
