American Horror Story: Asylum, but it's Hitchcocks's Vertigo Another show from the mind of Ryan Murphy, fronted by one of his best- Sarah Paulson. Perhaps the most striking take away from this series is the visuality. The Hitchcockian lighting and set, and the series' period-piece roots carry the plot when things get slow, along with the soaring 1950s score. Paulson shines in this bittersweet role based on the novel and film, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
