Manifest
(2018)

Pretty Mediocre and horrible dramatic toward the end
It starts out kind of interesting, sprinkled with drama as the series movies forward. It has a few interesting characters, the most interesting being Ben Stone, while his sister is primarily just nice eye candy, but annoying. Unfortunately Ben's wife and daughter are the worst part of the show with their irritating whining or complaining over one thing or another.

I have a feeling that the show will never actually tell the viewer where the "callings" are coming from or why. Once you get to season 2, the drama starts in heavy. Most TV shows these days seem to do this. Run out of actual story, or don't have enough story, so they fill with drama. Toward the end of season 2, drama and sappy mush scenes are front and center, showing awkwardly fake shows of emotion with obviously fake weeping/anger over one thing or another.

In summary, it starts out just "ok" and goes down hill from there. It's an average at best show.

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch
(2020)

Bad reality show
This is just like all those other "non-scripted" reality shows out there that are just horrible shows. I had hopes this show might actually be informative because I find Skinwalker Ranch interesting, but this is just a dramatic reality show in disguise of an informative tv show. If you want to see something that has to do with Skinwalker ranch and is actually good and entertaining, watch Skinwalker Ranch the movie.

Bloodshot
(2020)

Good to a point
The story up to a point is really pretty good. Once you get to that point is when it really just goes down hill and that is not far into the movie. Vin does fine in his role. I don't like direction that Guy Pearce's character goes. That was a real turning point for me in liking the movie or not liking the movie because I am a fan of Guy Pearce.

To sum it up, the story is bad, but the idea and characters were good.

Amazing Stories: The Heat
(2020)
Episode 2, Season 1

Absolutely horrible
The whole story is about how the two girls are gay and did not know it. Absolutely ridiculous. You don't find out till the end of the episode, but up till then, the story is horrible.

See
(2019)

Just crazy
I like some of the characters and the story is interesting, but everything that happens seems mostly unrealistic. People that can actually see, believe in being able to see or that want to read books seem to be considered witches... The worst part of the show might be the queen that "prays" all of the time. Praying entails her either or some other sexual act done on her while she basically whines over a guy leaving her that her army is now hunting... Probably because he left her.

Give it a try if you want, but if you think logically, it will be a bit hard to watch because most things don't mesh well together and are illogical.

Amazing Stories
(2020)

Nothing compared to the original
I watched the first episode and it was enjoyable, but it did not really have a mystical feeling to it like the original series did. If I was going to describe this series, it would be as a version of Amazing Stories without the magic of the original, sprinkled with political correctness. In the first 10 minutes of the first episode, the main character's brother shows him a picture of him and "his husband" with their daughter. I expected it and was watching for it and it did not let me down.

I do recommend it, but don't expect the brilliance that the original had.

Camp Cold Brook
(2018)

Not horrible, but not good
I watched this movie all the way through, but found myself messing with other things or doing something else as the movie progressed because it really was not that interesting.

The main character is mildly interesting, the rest of the cast is either bland or just plain unlikable. Danielle Harris's character is irritating toward the end, I kind of expected more from her character with her movie background. The Character "Kevin" was just a jerk and the other girl in the group was just forgettable. See? I don't even remember her name.

The ending was nonsensical and abrupt. They could have done more. Anyway, good for background noise, but really not worth the time otherwise.

Yip Man 4
(2019)

More about racism than anything
The fight scenes were good as usual and I love the depiction of Ip Man as being calm, honorable and good. It was nice to see Bruce Lee in a few scenes, very few. You can feel that the end of Ip Man is coming in how the story moves along. I did enjoy this movie to a point because it gave a conclusion to Ip Man's story, but half of the movie seemed to be focused on white people being racist toward every other race which most movies and tv shows in this age of political correctness like to focus on now.

There is a big difference in the story telling from the first Ip Man to this final installment. The first had a great story that did not try to stereotype anyone or any race. This one is focused on race period. If you want to see the conclusion to a once great franchise, I recommend this as a rental, but otherwise, I cannot recommend it.

The Dead Lands
(2020)

One of the better shows
The people writing negative reviews must enjoy only mindless super hero shows like The Flash or The Arrow that are full of just drama. This show actually has a story to it and interesting characters. I have watched up to episode four and have enjoyed every episode. You can tell it is low budget for sure, but the acting and filming is fine.

It is worth a try, if you don't like it, no real loss but a few minutes of your time at trying something new. Think of it this way, at least it is not another remake, reboot or sequel. Hollywood loves all three of those and rarely gives something new a try.

Ragnarok
(2020)

Good idea, horribly done
First off, the characters were not bad. The story "idea" was sound, but just terrible execution with left leaning politics injected at every turn. The line that made me almost turn the show off was "as long as you don't say that pollution is the fault of old white men" With a come back of "but it is" from the main character. I mean, I was able to get passed the horrible acting, the terrible horrendous lines and the mediocre story with a lot of "climate change" scare tactics push, but the left leaning politics just made me hate this show. I watched the full six episodes and can say I enjoyed about 20 minutes total of it. I kept watching because I expected something amazing to happen, that never happened. Even the ending was a real let down.

Shameless
(2011)

Very political, but funny
This show is a Liberals wet dream. Most relationships are interracial (always between white and black), most of the cast is either gay or has "experimented" or just goes both ways. The one relationship that has lasted many seasons turned into a three way open relationship.

After a number of seasons, the stories start breaking off different directions with different characters, so some of the stories you might enjoy and some I just skip through because they are just too left leaning or I don't like them. I am on season 8 and skip through all but three different character stories. One of the stories is pro-gay and is about churches trying to "cure" gay people. It takes the stand point that gay people are in the right, which I don't care one way or another. Another story was about getting illegals across the Canadian border, which I did not enjoy.

The story parts with Lip are probably the best part of the show. A lot of Carl's stories are good, Fiona is ok half the time, but if she meets a new guy, guaranteed she will sleep with him. Kevin and Veronica's story line is good for the most part. Frank's story line is good for the most part. Ian's story line is good sometimes, but it is terrible in the later seasons. Ian's is the one I skip the most.

As long as you take it with a grain of salt and let the left leaning political agendas roll off of you, it can be an enjoyable show. It's a good show, just very left leaning.

The Terror
(2018)

Season One I rate a 9, not season two
Season one is in my top three favorite shows of all time. The setting, the atmosphere, the characters. It's a TV show that actually has horror, scary stuff. Absolutely amazing.

Season two I have only made it close to halfway through it. It is just ok. Not scary at all. It does not have the atmosphere that the first does. I cannot say it is bad, but I can say it is not comparable to season one. Not even in the same league.

Season one was Season one Westworld good.

Rambo: Last Blood
(2019)

Almost did not feel like Rambo
Truly this movie kind of bored me up till toward the last part of the movie. The story is pretty mediocre. You don't get the feeling that Rambo and the young girl really bonded over the years. They say the words, but you don't see/feel a bond between them. In fact, Stallone's current version of Rambo does not even act like how you would expect Rambo to be. I felt the same about the last Rambo movie.

I don't think Rambo would have short cut hair. I could even see him growing a beard. I could see him on a ranch, but not with some women cleaning it for him or staying there for any reason. He would end up a loner. A recluse. Single. If he seen someone in trouble, he would help. That is how I see Rambo in his later years. Not what Stallone has him depicted as in this movie. It just felt like an action movie... Toward the end of the movie, but it never felt like a Rambo movie.

Witches in the Woods
(2019)

Jill is the worst part of this movie
Jill is the lead character and the absolute worst part of this movie. The woman that acted her part did great, but her character design was irritating. Someone would tell her something that was obvious but she would rail against it. It's like someone telling her the sky is blue and she would not believe them and argue against it while looking at the blue sky.

Then people keep saying to wait for help, but the driver said they only had about two hours worth of gas left in the truck and no one knew they were out in the middle of no where in the freezing cold... Who was going to save them if they just waited? Also, the love triangle is way over done and not done well in this movie.

Anyway, it has pretty good atmosphere, but there was not even one likable character in this movie. I spent my time deciding what order they should die in from the most unlikable to the least unlikable. It did not go in the order I had hoped unfortunately.

Poldark
(2015)

First four seasons are good
Since my first post was deleted because I pointed out the truth of Season 5, this is my second attempt at telling the truth of it. Or close to it, since all it takes to be censored on the internet now is someone disagreeing with your opinion.

The first four seasons of this show are great. The first season shows a man struggling with the little he has to make a good life, while at the same time, luckily finding a new love. The other three seasons, you basically just watch people live their lives with drama added along the way while introducing a few new characters.

Then there is the 5th season. The main story of this season seems to mainly be about racism, which is where it loses me. It's the same old story that many shows do in this age of political correctness.

Clown Motel: Spirits Arise
(2019)

So, I pushed myself to finish this...
The acting was almost all bad, as I had expected. Well, pretty much all bad. The clowns were easily the worst of the bad acting. There was a part where a clown was running for the door, a girl went to slam the door and somehow, it looked like at the last second she pulled back on the door like she was trying to let the clown in! LOL. They should have re-shot that scene.

The story idea really was not bad and it even had a nice atmosphere to it at one point. A very short point. Three guys and four girls. The big girl... bullies the guys... The guys basically end up becoming sacrifices for the girls. The girls ask the last and only surviving guy to go out and fix the battery in the camper, almost right after his other two friends are killed....lol? The "smart" girl finds a book and reads some random back story that makes little sense. This random back story causes them to run to some mines, thinking it will help them get out of their situation. Most of them die trying to do this venture. I was extremely bored and watched this to pass some time, but I cannot recommend this movie. It is not the worst movie I have ever seen, but it is pretty close.

The Domestics
(2018)

One lesson turns the wife into Rambo
The husband spends about two minutes showing the wife how to shoot and from then on, she is practically Rambo, saving the husband for the rest of the movie. Before this moment, the wife does not even act like she is living in the apocalypse. She acts like she is a little girl on a field trip, putting her head phones on at awkward times. Like when people are infiltrating the house they are staying in, she puts her head phones on, which gives her position away because they are too loud. They are ransacking a store, where they are in the open and could easily be attacked, she puts her head phones on like she is shopping at some general store for weekly groceries. The best characters in this movie turned out to be cannibal, which was the only thing that surprised me... Well, besides the wife going Rambo after her 1-2 minute gun tutorial. Just ridiculous.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
(2019)

Great monsters, horrible people
There is about 20 minutes or so of monster footage in this movie. It is the best part of the movie and I would be willing to rate Godzilla a 9, but the people in the movie really bring it down. I did not like even one human character in this movie and did not care if any of them died. Great monster CGI and the battles were pretty good, but the humans really bored me. They did the same mistake with Transformers. They should have made this movie with no humans.

Assimilate
(2019)

It is a good movie
I think a lot of the other reviews are looking at how this is like the 6th time this type of movie has been remade. It is the 5th or 6th time, but it is actually pretty good. They should have done more character building, because you really don't get too attached to most of the characters. I wish they would have used Cam Gigandet more in this movie, I think he was the best part of it.

If you have seen one Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie, you have seen this one, but this one does have a few things different and I liked the twist at the end. If you enjoy horror movies, you will enjoy this one. It even has a little bit of found footage stuff in it, which I personally like.

Game of Thrones
(2011)

This series is a 10 till the last season
Specifically the last two episodes of season eight. They went passed George RR Martins writing and the show was tumbling down hill till the last two episodes. In the last two episodes, the writers single highhandedly destroyed the entire series. It's almost like Jon Snow and Dany were just filler. Jon ends up going to the wall AGAIN, even though he was the rightful heir to the throne. Seriously, why even bring up that he was part Targaryen? People finding out Jon is Targaryen was the climax of season seven! Now it means NOTHING! I KNOW I won't bother with any of the spin-offs. They will be the same writers that destroyed this show.

Portals to Hell
(2019)

Worst of this type of show I have seen
I only watched the first episode of season one. Seriously, not one thing in this show seemed even remotely legit. Like their voice box thing that threw out random words so they could just pick what ever they thought they heard and make it go with what they wanted their story to be. Then, the guy that was showing them around, talking about how he could see someone behind Jack. The guy has mental issues. Then all the times they are standing in a dark room and think they hear things (or just act like they do) and make up their own view of what the sound is or means. This show is all about making things up and showing zero real evidence of anything but that this show is fake and horrible. If you are into this kind of thing, watch Grave Encounters. That is a lot more believable and it is a found footage type of movie. Also, Katrina needs to find a new career. She was the second worst part of this show, right behind the guy that was showing them around. Actually, the worst part is, I love this type of stuff, then I find something like this...

Roswell, New Mexico
(2019)

More left leaning political bias instead of entertainment
Just another show full of left leaning politics. Seriously, the first episode starts out with a girl that is Mexican. She has to go through a roadblock. She starts into a rage against the first police officer at her window because she thinks that the police are picking on her just because of her race, when in fact, everyone has to go through the same road block, other races included. After this scene and a few other things, the show starts on negative talk about ICE, border walls and being sent back to Mexico. You can easily see where this show is going. This show was not made for entertainment. It was made to spread more left leaning political lies.

The Newsroom
(2012)

Could have been good
I have to say the first three episodes of season one are brilliant. There was not even one character that I disliked and I loved how all of the characters were intelligent.

Then, it seems as if they are trying to point out what they don't like about the far right leaning Tea Party and Conservatives. After a while, if you pay attention to politics, you can see that they are using talking points that the left always uses. Often Will McAvoy talks about how he is seen as a RINO (Republican in Name only), which I can say he is. The only thing about himself that he points out, while saying he is a Republican, is that he is pro life. Through the whole first season, that is the only thing he can point out to try and distinguish himself as a Republican. The rest of the season, he is attacking only Republicans he does not agree with, while preaching everything the left preaches to the right in real life.

At first, when you start watching, you hope that the show will point out the weaknesses in both parties, because they are there, but this show only attacks the right. I watched the full first season hoping it would finally point out problems with the left too, but it only continually attacked the right for many things that I even agree with the right on. Will is a Donkey in an Elephant suit. Just being pro life does not make you a Republican.

Cucuy: The Boogeyman
(2018)

The monster was my favorite character
I eye-rolled so much during this movie that I almost got dizzy. Generic story with horrible writing and dialog. My favorite characters were easily the monster, the bully kid and the strange guy, all of which did not get enough screen time. The main character was generic and very unlikable. The only good thing about her, is she was good eye-candy.

In the end, I was rooting for the monster, but the movie proved true to the end that it was a bad movie with that horrible, unrealistic story book ending. There could have been potential here, especially with the effects on the monster, but they really went the wrong direction. Seriously, generic movie with barely anything to offer for actual entertainment. Don't be fooled by the fake reviews. Either they have something to do with the making of this movie, or they have not seen many movies.
