Zoom
(1972)

There will never be another Zoom
My mom used to watch the PBS trinity. Sesame Street taught us about letters and numbers while Mr. Rogers taught us about kindness and feelings. Zoom had the hardest job of all though; this American co-production of the BBC show Playschool encouraged us to write letters and send in drawings to the show.

Everything about the show was crafted to be groovy and lively unlike Playschool (the show it was based on), which was meant to be slow-paced and calm. Zoom's tools were crafts, plays, games, and songs, all of which were requested by viewers. Even so, the show teaches you that it's OK to be friends with people who are different from you. The show's diverse cast of children were that element, and they were expert teachers.

As the focal-points of the show ("star" just doesn't seem right), the Zoomers always spoke directly to the camera, as if speaking directly to the children who were watching. Their manners were always catchy and inviting, unlike Barney, whose hyperactive manner almost demands that you like him. More importantly, Zoom always conveyed an air of dignity. Contrast that with many modern shows that tend to portray adults as fools. That may be good for a cheap laugh, but kids know that adults are in charge. Who wants a fool to be in charge? Kids shows will come and go, but there will never be another Zoom. They didn't want to sell the kids things, They didn't expect them to be "cool," and they didn't want to replace their parents. They just wanted them to come on and zoom-zoom-zooma-zoom!!!

A Show anyone, any age can enjoy
This is way more educational than Playschool. I can't stand Playschool! This has educational content, good messages, and role models, and it will provide tons of entertainment for young kids, despite the many toys and books that were inspired by it that may cause parents to worry about consumerism. This show will hold zero appeal to kids older than eight, but all ages under will find great entertainment in it.

Hateful and mean TV Show for babies
Kids at the age there after (1-8) are constantly learning, and a brainless TV show like this, ware the presenters have only one emotion (in this case happy) and they keep singing all the time. Cannot be any good for the poor kids (even if them may like it).

This is a terrible show and I rate it a 0/10

There seems to be quite a consensus that this doesn't have any educational value. Such a stance presumes that kids need explicit teaching and preaching. Either you need to include an alphabet in your song or have some obvious life lesson like sharing, trying new foods, and keep trying. How silly.

The late Fred Rogers says that TV can be very bad for young kids, so why waste the little time that a kid can have, with such a pointless show. Especially when there are much better shows, like ZOOM, Yo Gabba Gabba, the Good Night Show

A Little Bit to the Best
This show gives PAW Patrol a run for its money. The characters are great and so is the premise. It's awesomer than it sounds because it's a massive phonomenon already in Canada. Thank you!

The Good Night Show
(2005)

Another classic
This show is way better than Dora, Barney, and Caillou combined. Star is a cute character. I remember the changes made to the show and I watched a new episode one night when both my parents went to education night at my school. I saw 64 Zoo Lane for the first time.

I don't remember Melanie and/or Leo because I wasn't born yet. I read about Melanie being fired however. I remember watching Sprout in 2017 and this show wasn't there.

Again, the shows are calming.

The Sunny Side Up Show
(2007)

Classic! I grew up watching this!
The Sunny Side Up Show, a live morning institution, is a great way for children to sit and watch energetic AM learning. Each episode uses content sent in by viewers, that, even the old episodes are as watchable now as they were 12 years ago.

The Sunny Side Up Show has had many trained energetic faces present it over the years, as well as many well-loved Sunny Side Up presenters that children remember into their teenage years, who become almost an institution themselves.

Each episode has songs, dancing, birthday cards, the name of the day, and usually feature a short show such as Thomas or Fireman Sam. Those who grew up with The Sunny Side Up Show will have gold-standard series being introduced, and children will see their weather reports, news, messages, and birthdays shown on TV.

The presenters are entirely real, and their enthusiasm is clearly shown through in each episode. Children respond well, as the presenters encourage them to go to sproutonline and send in stuff, and lead the kids through crafts, songs, and dance, and using their imagination.

I've now mesmerized the games and songs I've learned from Sunny Side growing up. This is on-air talent at it's absolute finest. Each episode is raw, and presented as real. Indeed, the filming for each episode is done in pretty much one take, which just adds to the overall ambiance of the episode.

The Sunny Side Up Show is the most live morning show. Perfect for the kids to watch, anytime!

The Best Game Ever!
This is the best Game ever!!! Riding up, riding down, Driven by a funny clown

The CBeebies House Show
(2016)

wesome Show
I LOVE CBeebies House. It's happy, interesting, brightly-colored, hip, and teaches good lessons. So far it's the only kids' show I love -- Berenstain Bears bores me, Ni-Hao Kai-Lan is a little too precious, and The Wiggles drive me to a frantic search for the remote. (I actually got into a verbal altercation recently with a 2 1/2 year-old who objected to my strong dislike of The Wiggles.) Though Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends is okay, Spiderus's jerkiness notwithstanding, nothing holds a candle to The CBeebies House Show. I wish it was on right now.

Best!!!!
This kooky comedy show for kids seems like something out of "SpongeBob", "Yo Gabba Gabba!', or arguably everything from "Adult Swim". The Presenters (all kids) do games, science, food, and everything entertaining for kids. It's reccomended for all kids!

Yo Gabba Gabba!
(2007)

YGG is my favorite show
Yo Gabba Gabba is a show about 5 friendly monsters who entertain viewers like me. They often play with a black human DJ who helps them to teach basic lessons to viewers, often adding musical numbers and playing games while they do it. It airs at 7:00 and 1:00 on CBeebies.

I, Maddie, is arguably Yo Gabba Gabba's biggest fan, the show being my favorite. I never miss it and if I do will freak out in front of everyone. I own all of its merchandise and even has some of Yo Gabba Gabba's videos.

Yo Gabba Gabba was cancelled in 2015, during which its final episode aired. I became severely depressed by this and after seeing how a petition works on T.V., sent in my own petition to get the show back on, with my family signing it.

Yo Gabba Gabba did eventually return to T.V., but ended up getting Steven Universe cancelled in the process, much to my sisters' annoyance. However, both shows appear to be on the air once again with no noticeable problem. I still watch the show and its characters obsessively.

Sila Patterson found and gave me a Yo Gabba Gabba CD.

In an alenarte future, i stated Yo Gabba Gabba was a baby show but had a lot of adult references in it such as guest stars and 8-bit video games.

Whose known to watch it: Maddie (me) Diana Rebecca Rachel Maddie Jeff James Jonas Eli (my Baby cousin) Uncle Jim

Trivia: the title is a parody of Gabba Gabba Hey from Ramones, with the setting being a parody of Sesame Street.

My Bedbugs
(2004)

My Bedbugs - NBeebies
They sing! They dance! They learn valuable lessons all at the same time. It's My Bedbugs, the new DVD series, by GreeneStuff Inc. Join this brother and sister trio of Woozy, Toofy, and Gooby as they go on adventures, learn about teamwork, and have fun while doing it.

Each episode teaches children the importance of working on a project as a team. There are lots of original songs and dancing added too. My daughter found the dancing and singing to be the most fun of each episode.

The cast in My Bedbugs are brightly colored, life-sized characters. Think of that famous purple dinosaur and you are on the right track. The show is simple in concept but teaches valuable lessons to children that they can use later on in the classroom and in life. Each episode points out the need to learn to work together as a team while illustrating another lesson such as organization and the importance of keeping one's room clean, map segments, or storm safety. As children grow they will find the need to work in teams but that it can be challenging as well. My Bedbugs can give them a head start on this.

There are many other characters that join in the fun throughout each episode. There's Windy, the window, who strives to let sunshine into the bedbugs world. J.Edgar, the vacuum, is the voice of reason and a teacher to the bedbugs. Snoozy, the pillow, acts as a favorite toy or security blanket. Then finally there is Ruffy, their pet fish, who joins the bedbugs on all their adventures. Your child will love this fun bunch as they dance, sing, and teach together!

More information on My Bedbugs can be found on their website. Check it out for information on joining the Bedbug Club, games, seeing the Bedbugs LIVE and local TV listings.

Bounce
(1997)

Bounce
Bounce is a cool science and engineering show, it features seven curious youngsters that change each season. The show uses real kids' ideas and put them into one show. You watch little stories about a kid's life or even how things are made. Sometimes the show features a cartoon, each introduced by the Bounce Clock. The Show is great for teaching time and seasons, science, food, biology, teamwork, and problem-solving to preschoolers and beyond.

Rad Lands
(2017)

Hot Seat and Hot Spot
When Yo Gabba Gabba was cancelled in 2015, Boston Globe wrote an article about its cancellation. Magic Store and ITunes had two ideas for new shows to replace YGG, Bitz and Bob and Hot Seat, Hot Seat was the one mentioned in the Boston Globe article, which meant Bitz and Bob would come later, so Hot Seat was then show to replace Yo Gabba Gabba. Hot Seat was briefly renamed Hot Spot, and then there was a rumor about a backdoor season which was the final season of Yo Gabba Gabba as well as Hot Seat's first season. Later, a character named Tricket was created, and Hot Seat was renamed Rad Lands.
