Animal
(2023)

Well done to the team in making a gripping movie
The film is well presented visually, acted very well and the story keeps you hooked until the end. The centre of the story being the father-son relationship.

The people hating this movie due to misogyny etc, need to understand its a movie. Also its a movie for adults, so should stop expecting that every movie from Ranbir/Anil has to be a family movie.

Also a lot feminist propaganda Indian movies are available on streaming platforms. Due this type of avalanche of movies we have seen over recent years people didn't expect a male dominated movie like this.

The bottom line is this an entertaining movie, despite being 3 hours and 20 mins long. I gave 1* less for the beginning and ending which suggests a sequel. I don't think there is a need as it seems very predictable, what will happen.

Well done to the team of delivering a successful movie. I thought this was better than Kabir Singh and hope the director continues on this track.

Fool Me Once

5 because its a timepass
I give 5 because its a timepass, while your doing other work around the house, you can keep an eye on it. I like the way they keep it simple and to the plot, no boring hush hush dialogues in the dark, like many other british drama these days. Also there are no unnecessary sex scenes.

One thing to be note which is common in todays tv dramas, is the usual women protagonist who can seem to get away with any rude or aggressive behaviour, whilst men are shown as having to be weak and mild mannered or just have to back off. This is really getting cheesy and predictable, almost like there is some agenda. I hope they start to make more original dramas, where people behave more like they would really want to behave.

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
(2023)

Makes you want to puke!
It's a film about rich youth of Mumbai and showcases how westernised they are. But in reality it's just an attempt by Bollywood to present a glitzy image of India which only a small minority enjoy.

The film has no story, they live in India but don't seem to behave like Indians or seem to be apart of that country, apart from there anglicised Hindi.

It's amazing how films even without a story to tell get so many good reviews. It's shows what people are satisfied with watching.

The positive in this film is Imaad, he seems to have inherited his father's acting skills and he comes across as very natural. Otherwise this is another ott meaningless film, in which bad language and sexual references rule!

Not one to watch with family
We have yet another piece of work from Hindi cinema which you cannot watch with your family. The intention of the film is not bad, but the dialogues are cringe worthy and not ones you can watch with a sister, daughter, mother, brother etc around. It's almost like they use the words again and again to make a statement that Indians are really forward now. But in reality it's really desperate!

Mrs Chaterjee, shastri Vs shastri are the only recent movies which are serious but clean at the same time. I'm not against adult movies etc but Bollywood was once majority family movies, now they are a small minority, just in pursuit of showing they are westernised now.

K.G.F: Chapter 1
(2018)

Another over hyped south indian so called blockbuster
Is this the trash now is called the best movies in india right now. This one of the most boring meaningless movies ever made. It shows how badly the iq level has now fallen of viewers these days if they think these type of movies are great and the actors are gods. I watched on fast forward whenever it got boring i.e. Dialogues Seriously theres no plot, no interesting screenplay, even actions is just explosions and stabbings.. Sequels is not much better either. Hindi movies are still better than these south movies, they just need to go back to their basics.........................................................................................................................................

Jai Bhim
(2021)

Your typical South Indian potboiler
If this story had been handled by Hindi art film directors such as the likes of Govind Nihalini, Shyam Benegal, Tapan Sinha, Shekhar Kapur etc..and actors with better personalities, this could have been a great movie. Instead, its your typical 21st century South Indian movie, where over the top melodrama, fast & cheap thrill dialogues, otp emotions and scenes with thousands of people altogether etc...

Also on IMDb it looks like these Tamil hero worshipping crazy fans, like they do with c-grade rajnikant movies have gone on here on mass and rated this movie 10 stars deliberately, so it goes higher then classics such as Godfather and Shawshank Redemption. This movie is nowhere near those standards, infact its not even a good Indian movie. Its just another South Indian political/vote bank movie!

Chor Aur Chand
(1993)

Cant believe no one has reviewed this cult movie yet!
I recently re-visited this film for the first time since its release back in the early 90s and I wasn't disappointed. The director is under rated, the acting by everyone especially Aditya, Pooja and Raghubir is great. The movies songs are some of the best of the 90s Indian cinema.

As I went through this movie, you are captivated with the screenplay, songs, involving characters and direction. It seemed ahead of its time for the 1990s. The ending stays in your mind for long after. This is a cult classic.

If I ever get a chance to meet Aditya Pancholi in the future, I would definitely like to talk to him about this movie!!

Mohalla Assi
(2015)

One of the best comedy bollywood movies ever
This film was like a breath of fresh air, fully sarcastic one liners deep meaning dialogue, but remained a comedy throughout. I knew this would be good despite Indian critics reviews. The problem with critics in India is they do not like films that laugh at the bad things happening in India, all they want to promote is modern India cool India in movies etc..and how women are rebelling against their families etc and they feel this impresses Hollywood and westerners.

The movie makers of Mohall Assi have stuck to the book and made a movie which depicts reality, and completely brushed aside any thought of trying to impress or ape anyone. Films like this and Laila Majnu are the real highlights of 2018.

Laila Majnu
(2018)

Must watch for those like meaningful cinema
I was blown away by this movie especially after the scene where the couple are being followed in the car and almost get caught out. Then after that each scene is gripping and the dialogues powerful, and music which you will want to download and hear again and again after seeing the movie. The film sustains a classic and artistic feel from this point onward. Avinash is superb and Imtiaz Ali script is just right for creating a contemporary feel for a legendary love story.

Today's generation need to see films like these as most of the other films they are being subjected too whether good or bad in their own right, are lacking in Indian culture, history and folklore. The power of this film which has been well exploited by the makers is true love and the fact that the majority of the people on this world will never actually experience.

Its also not surprising that the it was not a box office success, as people do not want to see how love is higher than materialism and hypocrisy.
