  • In WWII American manufacturing was simply better than German. Sherman tanks often win the day as Anything Gernany produced was garbage by 1945. Fury is a gritty movie showing the brutality as close as any movie has shown before. American tank crews worked as teams to overcome a violent enemy. Like in the actual war, the Americans out smart out tough the German soldiers. No surprise. Americans are simply more dominant. Germany had no chance. In the movie the American team led by Brad Pitt's character survives on knowledge and a willingness to die. The genius of strategy shied the American fighting man in the right light. War is hell.
  • To laugh at all the watchers who are so put off because a tv show didn't lock step with all the other one off unique episodes. Every time I see the word "rubbish" I picture an old lobster back with a white wig .

The episode is fun, and interesting. Remember when Britain despised immigrants? See 1979. In this episode the loud mouth bigots receive payback. Human emotions remain human. No tech can stop revenge, anger, sadness, or happiness. This episode removes the false world tech can provide and returns us to us, humans. Very little of the characters are "living their best life." And I am thankful for that.
  • SBC turns in a fine performance as Israel spy Eli Cohen. Historically accurate as possible. Who really knows exactly what a deep under cover spy experiences. Hard to imagine what it really took to get deep into the Syrian government. Israel had to (has to) continue to develop and deploy spies for its continued existence. SBC plays the new spy to perfection. The danger of infiltrating an enemy must have been overwhelming. Cohen the spy had the charisma to fool the Syrian leadership. SBC has that type of personality. With current events, using spurs and small teams inside Gaza could gave helped to identify the Oct 7 raid from Hamas.
  • The Covenant is a great war movie. The low ratings group clearly are haters, but from the poor grammar(a tell), and poor understanding of what happened in Afghanistan (limited education), just ignore them. The first war in Afghanistan took about 6 months to win btw. Clear out the Taliban terrorists. The US was never going to drag the country out of the prehistoric days, Their own people failed for the past 50 years.

Interpreters in foreign wars are critical to the success and safety of US soldiers. Special forces have some speakers, that catch the bs. A lot of action is in this movie. It captured what fighting in a small unit vs. Large number of enemy is like. Similar to "Lone Survivor" and the Niger ambush in the real world. Note to military leaders, use of large numbers of troops works. Fine acting from all.
  • What started out as a sort of funny romcom with edge, turned the corner and became a drawn out alcoholic destroys the world show. Acting is fine. Writing is good. Storyline is a disaster.

What happened to lets make entertainment entertaining? Characters all turn pathetic. FFS, Andy Dick has a few lines. In real life every character would have been cut out of each of their lives.

Disappointed in what I thought would be a classic Apatow production. This is like Knocked Up meets Intervention.

If one is in their 30's, you cheating in the one you love? Gonna drink, drug cheat and lie? Maybe if the story was about college students failing in life. At least it would be believable. Why am I hoping for a mass shooting for a cherry on top?
  • However, all of the actors involved tried. I am glad all of them found work. So I score it a 2. The rest is terrible. Stiff and bored performances barely prop up the worst script. Cheap foreshadowing. 'We are such good friends.' Guess who gets it next? I feel this would never have been filmed without the casting of Hong Chau. Honestly, I feel like I got punked to watch this. It seems like all the actors are reading the weather. Blah, blah blah. Hate to provide a negative review, as I know the no name cast did what they could. The premise of the story is so dumb. Imagine there are several high level government officials in on trying to take over the government I guess. I guess because it is too dumb to even believe that the story was created.

Watch the Recruit. At least there are some laughs.
  • Really enjoyed the first series. Funny characters centered around the CIA attorney unit. Laura Haddock is fantastic in one of the lead roles. I had to verify it was her from youtube. Amazing what a bad haircut and heavy Eastern European accent can do. The other lead, Noah Centineo, does a great job in balancing being a newby to office politics, and a smart attorney. Lots of action, and comedy as well. Another series, Patriot, on Prime, (canceled) is another fantastic CIA dramedy. A little more subtle but has the international flavor, along with some of the wildest scenes ever filmed. I guess it is all in a day for an employee of the CIA. The Recruit and Patriot are simply very good entertainment. I found most of the nominated movies for 2022 awards were barely watchable. The Recruit can be enjoyed with multiple watchings. Cant wait for the second series!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Excellent wwII dramedy about the formation of the SAS commando in North Africa. Mixed with an ACDC filled soundtrack. Im all for it!! Makes the series fun to watch. Acting and action is realistic. Glad to see brits without being overly sensitive and just acting normal. The negative reviews obviously from the former.

The desert environment must have been brutal. One had to be a bit off to volunteer. But to want to kill takes crazy. The men in this group all had that trait. Fighting a 'clean' war simply prolongs the destruction of lives. SAS purpose is to kill the enemy. That us what they do.

Hope the series continues.. The continued adventures will be a thrill ride.
  • Interview 2: Putin. Some very funny lines throughout. Such a sick existence living in a country with a lunatic who cant be voted out. Love democracy.. God does not live in N. Korea. He does poo and pee. He does not get 18 hole in one's in one round. Buy where do you draw the line before removal? Killing of citizens? Shutting down the free press? List goes on.. History shows even the greatest country who removed the shackles makes untold mistakes in this area. Thank god we can vote these idiot's out. Noone is god here either.

Enjoy Seth making it with a hottie. This in itself is a joke. Humor can be found in every subject. What is offensive? Nothing.
  • Loved the film. Superb acting. The true emotions throughout are amazing. Norma Jean needed the shell of MM to get her ti the too if Hollywood. The reality is the life of MM wasnt real to Norma. Most of the critical views of this movie from the pearl clutching crowd. Hate to tell them MM did drugs, enjoyed sex, and had a psychiatrist in speed dial. Depression combined with no parents, no family, no real friends, with drugs ultimately led to her being fired from Something's Got To Give.. Her body broke from being sick, her emotions broke from being abandoned.

Ana de Armas played MM to perfection. Bi-polar all the way!! Nominations are in her near future.
  • Albeit a reach in reality, still a thrill ride. Great acting and intrigue. Trying to bring down a terrorist organization by creating a fake one. What could go wrong? CIA should have been left to locate and take care of OBL, rather than start a war in Iraq. Tactics to draw out terrorists (see Zawahari) is what the CIA is good at. From other posts, why do Muslims feel the war is against them? We dont care about religion. We care about the murder of Americans. If you believe Al Qaeda and Daesh represent Islam, thats on you.

Body of Lies uses spy tactics and ver real locations and characters to weave a story of deception. Argo is another great movie, but real. BoL feels real, but one man can-only almost die so many times. Still, love any story of a good con gets the bad guys. If you hate terrorists you will love this film.
  • I watched the planes hit the WTC buildings in real time. Only recently have I been able to watch movies, documentaries. I have started United 93 a few times.. just finished it. The garbage reviews with conspiracy theories should be erased. The disrespect to all the innocents is appalling. Invading Iraq was moronic. The only guilty parties resided in Bora-Bora. This movie is about that morning. Tough to watch., but fantastic realism. As an American, I love that ee are s little naive to the true evil on this planet. I want to believe most are good. This movie shows us religious beliefs are hollow empty lies. Any radical believer must be tracked and put down and stamped out. It isnt the everyday citizen.., its the bishop, imam, preacher, guru, that need to be concerned with.

Dont forget. Al Qaeda born of evil and hate. The very leaders of our country let us down. CIA, FBI, President and staff.
  • Have watched the series through 3 times. Still a thrill ride. Each season keeps the audience engaged with audacious storylines. The finale one of the best. Sets up another gift of the new Dexter series 10 years later.
  • Great action, tough story. Wish this story was fiction. Real world war stories are always tragic. We want our heroes to succeed and live. But, this is the fantasy of Old Westerns. In war, innocents die along with our heroes. After watching Lone Survivor, my question is how are the VA hospitals doing? Every war supplies us with vets with both physical and emotional damage. How are we doing in healing our soldiers?
  • Fantastic edge if your seat thriller. Much much prefer The Patriot. Love anything With Special Forces. How about a series in combat missions? Leave the conspiracies to trumptards.
  • The acting is excellent. The stress and pain is felt and real. For a time Ordinary People was my favorite movie. The loss of a sibling, or child is simply devastating to a family. How each member of the family (actors) copes with it is so very complex. Mental un-health was a stigma until very recently. The effects of this leads to the destruction of any marriage. And no, real life doesn't always end in a group hug. Love the real drama in this one.
  • Watching Pineapple Express for like the 10th time. Thank you Seth, Jimmy and Danny.... Keep making the funny!. BFFF! Just truth.. slapstick and one liners rule the day in this gem. This movie is not for those who hate laughing.. 😂
  • Naming each other, other than just Americans, is the target. Seeing and hearing each other as just people is the target. BTW there isnt an"American" who is just a fill in the blank. Religion is a belief not a fact. Get over yourselves. Guns arent a real right. I could go on. This is a movie not a documentary. And movies are fiction. Calm down and consider the premise. Thats all.
  • Jennifer Chastain provides the right tone of the serious and professional US agent. It's as true a depiction as there is of the culmination of work to finally rid the world of evil. Bravo to all of the people involved.
  • Fascinating look unto the 1800's. As crazy as our current world seems to be, life is really good. One similarity, the greed of wanting and taking instead of sharing and creating is still inherit with some of us. Utopia is a nice dream.
  • The pain of life can be overwhelming. It can keep you down or not. Inspiration can come from anyone, but can you be open to see it. I love this movie for the start of Matt and Ben's career. Robin Williams best role of his career. It has love, humor, and Red Sox.. lots if great American style.. dont miss it!
  • Warning: Spoilers
So glad this movie is streaming. The acting is superb. The story, though tragic, highlights the human condition. One half follows an Iranian immigrant family the other half follows a recent widow and substance abuser as she copes with her losses. This isnt a musical, comedy is documentary. Life can be hard and sad and tragic. Buy it is still life and life is fascinating.
  • Love titles that spark interest? The Hunger Games has some bite to it. Human suffering beneath false public self gratification. Like 'white' majority discounting minority suffering because, 'we don't see it.' Too deep? Perhaps. Humans are violent and barbaric. Also, empathetic and giving. The series hyper identifies all our weakness and strengths. Just love thy neighbor as yourself and we'll get through it all.
  • Science fiction that combines a first shooter game feel with a Jurassic Park, Land of the Lost feel type movie thing.

Don't do a part 2. The story is done.
  • Enjoyed the first installment. I can see this series is going to highlight Olivia Colman's acting range. We've seen her scratch the surface in ep. 1. I found her performances is the reason to watch. As an American, the story is relatively tame, but knowing what is to come and having Olivia deliver it, worth the watch...
