S.W.A.T.: Ride or Die (2025) Season 8, Episode 21

Good episode but more Hondo hypocrisy

This show is fairly good, but the use of ethics and morality seem to be a loose sliding scale depending it it's the main character, Hondo, or someone else in the cast

Hondo will go vigilante cop, throw a blind eye or cover up crimes if his family....then takes a morale high ground with other characters doing similiar things.

In this episode the character is cen did better than Hindi by at least owning up to the failing and Hondo gas lit her. SUOER TOXIC ASPECT OF THIS SHOW.

In other episodes the take a frenetic scene that could go either way, but bend the plot to make Hondo have the high ground. But it is so easily seen it fools know one but the showrunners ego.

So many different way to handle this so it makes sense.

In this same episode, the sister cop can't interrogate her brother because it's unethical. Yet Deacon can lone wolf investigate his own female stalker by himself using city resources on his shift. Instead of filing a report for another cop to evaluate if it needs to be followed up in or not. Like any citizen would have to do.

Survivor: Icarus Time (2025) Season 48, Episode 12

More "Joe winner edit"

The casting seems better than most of the season 40's new era type, yet this forced integrity game has flattened the game to one dimension of outlast killed the out whit and outplay.

This episode at least had a little bit of gameplay but it was wrapped over the whole episode that made even that feel overplayed. Not to mention the continued Joe edit. Which at this point feels like the winner has been announced since Joe hugged Eva.

The season has felt less adventure and more drama, but production added to the drama by over emphasizing the only thing the cast offered I guess into this soupy mess.

Challenges mirror production costs where convenience, quickest and same-same is the M. O. making things stale.

Havoc (2025)

Beat enjoyed while scrolling tiktok

Plays out like cliche 1970's and 1980's films. So nothing really imaginative here. The filming is good but often feels slightly off. I'm not sure if it's AI or too much cgi trying to filter a regular city into this Gotham looking city. And drone type filming.

I hate most surprising is how many great actors are in this and for it to at best be an interesting B rated action flick.

Netflix making another filler movie. After several pass throughs, I finally finished it. Nothing about it was great, but holds up to Netflix new theme of making movies to the quality of something playing in the background and hope you do literally anything else...and never feel like you are missing anything in the movie.

The Rookie: A Deadly Secret (2025) Season 7, Episode 15

Pretty unwatchable episode

It's almost like the second the show gets green lit for another season, they immediately air crappy interview esque or bad camera Angie type episodes. They always get really bad ratings. It must be a way of managing vacation time for the cast so they can quickly spend one day to film it all on set.

Or maybe they do these so that the bar sinks so low that when a good episode returns it actually feels like the best thing ever.

The episode feels both boring and disjointed in hiw it plays out.

It's like someone stitched home movies and BTS clips that one one ever asked for ...together into this waste of 43 minutes I can't get back in my life.

Andor: Harvest (2025) Season 2, Episode 3

Fantastic build up and delivery for this weeks releases

I'm not one to memorize all the details if any certain movie it tv show. I watch for how it makes me feel.

Each of us different but for me, nothing made me FEEL the weight of the story, characters and outcomes like Star Wars, empire strikes back, rogue one and Andor. This episode embodied that spirit. Will they survive, will they be victorious or is this a loss that must be regroup and be rallied around. I'm not one to cry but there are moments that really affected my allergies.

The pace is quickening and has most if all aspects in this episode that should make everyone happy

I think this 3 ep release schedule is awesome. It's like watching a movie. I'm nderjng if each week will cover 1 bby it charting the timeline is not as critical as main story elements that take us to rogue ones door step. Time will tell.

Andor: Sagrona Teema (2025) Season 2, Episode 2

Story is building and I don't want it to end

Now that episode 1 set the stage of what main characters and plot movements are...this episode dives a little deeper. Provides opposition to strengthen our care factor for the outcome. We all know what eventually happens, but not for these individual characters. Masterfully built si that you are invested and care about people if both sides.

It shows the hesitations of how committed characters are to follow their path. It ads more characters to expand the story and character depth. Like cassian ability to lead, maneuver. He's not masterful yet, but he's learning.

This is upside places you in the precipice of something big about to happen. Can't wait to dive into episode 3.

Andor: One Year Later (2025) Season 2, Episode 1

Deliberately setting the stage for another awesome season

So it again took a bit to adjust to a new Star Wars environment. Again a bit slow. But none of this is a bad thing.

Star Wars stretching past Skywalker, savers and tattoine is a brilliant move. This episode starts slowly to set the stage. A bit more drama than last but beautiful to behold.

A lot if the time my imagination is wondering where the path is going. The building character development is awesome. The succinct scripting but secretive about the plot captivates me. Just like this rebellion, not is just given easily. You earn the outcomes as a viewer. I can't wait to see what next episode holds.

Renovation Aloha: Completing the Kalama Compound (2025) Season 2, Episode 9

Weak follow-up to a great first parter

I loved the 1st season. The show was rough in editing but it had charm. And it had a mostly positive vibe

This season kind of feels like 90s hgtv. Repeat problems. Repeated script and for some reason....even though it is streaming it recaps like like every few minutes in script like it expects commercials like the 1980's

This episode took like 20 minutes of filler and recap to get where they left off in last episode. There should have been more than enough filming for 4 houses to fill a whole episode. And then they recapped over and over throughout the episode.

And the over the top selfless "for the community" is getting a bit much. It may be...cause there are people like that in the world. But it films awkward this season.

Like most if the designs. And the show as a whole. But editing needs to tighten up. Give the brother some time to walk and talk the job more. He's likable. And to be honest, I don't think the whole story that displays about him is there. Felt like he gets crapped on.

Hope shows get better. As I like what they are aiming for. I'm so tired of hgtv shows being more worried about making celebrities rather than quality diy.

A Working Man (2025)

A very watchable copycat style B rated movie

Wow....whwre ti start?

If you really like Jason statham, then you'll probably like it.

But the shows main hardship is really bad sequencing between scenes. Even the jump cuts jn and between scenes is really bad.

The show really tries really hard to to be the following movies while never nailing any of them

• John wick
• taken
• equalizer

I think the show was funded from China which gave it a much larger budget than it deserved and mishandling the funds the whole time. As the cgi and practical effects are comically bad. I think. The Russian costumes are laughable. I think with a smaller budget and a director who has the sole responsibility for vision would have trimmed the film down to essentials and made tougher choices in what made the final edit.

Yet despite how B rated this is...even compared to other B films...it still kept me hoping for more. And it ends with this open ending cliffhangers that falls really short of me caring. As I doubt this show will ever get funded for a sequel. Probably stathams worst film to date.

It has moments that are cool. And if they kept that as the baseline, this would have been an excellent copycat movie. Instead it's a decent one time watch.

Perfect Match (2023– )

Trashy guilty pleasure when quality entertainment is not a requirement

I was really sick and just wanted something to watch while eating chicken noodle soup. Nothing good was on so I turned this on. I think the last time I watched anything like this I was in my 20s and was watching MTV Road Rules.

Season 1 was interesting. From what I gathered there is a niche for not only these shows but for people to watch via their social media. I had no idea who these people were or why they think they are celebrities. For the most part they seemed the antithesis of the show. None are really suited for dedicated relationships. They are just people want to be famous for being cool and sexy. Being promiscuous seemed tantamount to being Cas for the show.

Surprisingly, there are moments where the armor comes down and you can see them have real human moments. The highlight was Shayne and Chloe match. But at no point do any of these people seem capable of trusting and loving relationships. More lust driven. But seeing as most everyone is from a bunch of other shows like this...acting this way is the key. It's hard to believe this is real and not just shock reality tv. Can't imagine this many people are thus vapid and clueless on how relationships work. Or if all this is just staged.

Either way...if you need mind numbing entertainment that you don't care if you fall asleep on and your cold is so bad that you. Ant really focus too much in a show....thus is a good pick.

Season 2 is the same. They just found people who have personalities and promiscuous natures.

Suits LA: Seven Days a Week and Twice on Sunday (2025) Season 1, Episode 1

It can only go up

Wow!!! There is a lot going on here. And if the show finally decides what parts it keeps will really define if this show bombs or loses.

I realize the Arrow actor has the same out urst acting style as the Harvey specter actor. Unfortunately, casting this way just makes it feel like an inferior version. And makes for his worst scenes. They should have picked a different lead who could be edgy and powerful with a different way of showing it

The scattershot of actors with really good acting and terrible is all I can focus on. Some is 100% quality and others feels B rated at best. Like the lawyer who stole most of the firm. He seems so miscast.

Very weird place to launch. With zero buyin to the show it characters it tears me very thing apart.

The script is too copy cat. And the frat boy scenes are cringe. Horrifically bad. The best acting is actually in the going in back in time scenes.

And this empty bravado of name dropping if actors that are still bigger than anyone on this show makes it appalling instead of us thinking they are powerhouse firm. If you can't have them drop in for cameos, don't name drop. This show doesn't have that kind of pull.

And PLEASE STOP ACTING IDENTICAL YO HARVEY SPECTRE. YOU ARE TERRIBLE AT IT.

Sliders: El Sid (1996) Season 2, Episode 5

A crazy rewatch

So I am watching a bunch of older shows this past year. Sliders is one of them.

It is is interesting to see so many actors debut early in their careers here

But they hen this episode opened up, I was. Like " wait, this guy dresses and acts just like Negan from the walking dead".

As the episode continued I was starting to thing the actor who played negan saw this show and modeled the character after him.

Nope, a quick lookup only yo find out it is the actor who played negan when he was much younger. So wild

As for sliders. It atill holds up and is fun to watch.

It has the sci-fi element and a great ensemble cast. It's serious enough but not too much. And Aimee to just have fun.

Renovation Aloha: New Island, New Problems (2025) Season 2, Episode 4

Good flip, but feels like fake 'paid for drama'

I love the vibe of this show since I found it a few weeks ago. Beautiful Hawaii and a charming married couple restoring homes and neighborhoods...what more could you ask for.

This episode as in others has me stressed. I don't know how they do it. 99% of the reason I would never do this in real life is because of the reality of so many contractors and no real way to know which ones are good for their word

The only issue with this episode which kind of makes me wonder about the shows veracity is the fired contractor in this episode. It seemed like a paid actor. The guys truck had the same 2x4's strapped on his truck on the fires date as he did when he accepted the job 10 days earlier. So either this he was paid by the show to act it all out in a one day shoot. Or the whole thing was just fake drama to add for the shows ratings.

Still like the show, but the Robert scenes are suspect and a reflection in the shows integrity.

Breath of fresh air in hgtv

As background,....ice always loved hgtv type entertainment but in the past decade, tv personalities and personal life seems to be more important in the show than actually doing the diy. And showing how it's done is almost entirely absent.

This show feels like a good compromise between old and new hgtv styles. I like the aura that the two main people have. The Hawaiian aspect of the show ads a flare that is not often seen on tv...which adds to the shows attraction. What really elevates the show to me is that the designs of the flips are actually something I would want to live in. Rather than most shows flamboyant takes if design that barely stay relevant the entire season they are aired in. I Ben hard situations in this show are positive yet real.

The only cons I see are the awkward extended conversation scenes. But those could also be apart of why I like the show. It feels more real. Which only leaves the only real bad part which is small...is the horrific squeal chime pulled from the 1990's to emphasize something bad is happening.

Australian Survivor: Stoic (2025) Season 10, Episode 3

Casting

Ok, so I love Australian survivor. For the most part it just gets better and better every season. And I very season has been better than USA survivor for at least a decade.

That aside, this season is markedly different with respect to the casting. Like the brains tribe feels more like narcissistic tribe rather than intelligence. The amount of people that seem like real world villains seems off the charts this season. And it seems like more off the beaten path were selected. And in some ways, it's why each episode for me is about 1-2 stars less than what I would normally mark down.

The brawn team has it share if the same. And it was funny in the first episode to hear one brain make comment that they expected more brawn than what they saw. I can't I hear that as I watch. But in fairness, it is real world strong people that often have various body types based on skills and athleticism.

And the challenges are still the best of any survivor version to date. This season so far doesn't seem to have any masterminds or social players dominating....even though there are many self proclaimed egotists. Maybe this stands out so much to me because prior seasons had genius, social geniuses and professional fitness legends who almost never had to brag. They just were awesome and that was enough. Which is more endearing as a viewer than a shallow braggart.

Paradise: Sinatra (2025) Season 1, Episode 2

Too little plot and too much drama

This episode is good. But is far less interesting than the pilot.

A lot less suspense and thriller which is replaced by drama. A lot of drama.

The cut scenes to the past to show character depth go way too long and too little plot is revealed

The remake song for the end of the episode is painful as it falls short of the song it replicates by a large margin. Like it's off key or something. Why do I emphasize this? Because it was distracting. Luckily nothing really important was happening through much of the episode.

Only really one new plot factoid is revealed. And too minor to factor in for a 45 min stretch.

In a positive note. Some moments in the flashbacks were enchanting moments in and of themselves. But if this episode had been the pilot, I would never have kept watch in g the show.

Compelling beginning

Much of this show has been done many times before. Yet this one does it slightly different. I hope it can keep this tempo. And I hope it can stay this interesting.

Star Trek: Section 31 (2025)

So, so very bad...

Parts if the opening scene was pretty solid for a direct to streaming movie. But then it immediately turned into a hot mess. I have no idea who the target audience was for this train wreck. But it could not have been anyone who has even heard of Star Trek.

It is so bad that it makes the latest Star Wars movies and tv shows look like timeless masterpieces

Ahiw is not worth a whole review. So the rest is filler for word count.

100 WORST MOVIES OF ALL TIME The latest: Action-thriller Armor, Sylvester Stallone's first starring 0% movie. He previously directed a zero-percenter with Staying Alive in 1983.

It's bad movies galore as we encounter the Rottenest of the Rotten: 100 movies that scored less than 6% (from at least 20 reviews) with the critics on the Tomatometer!

You're going to see lots of 0% movies, and there's even more out there, but the ones on this list all have at least 20 reviews. We wanted to make sure the movies we're "vouching" for as the worst ever have inflicted a minimum threshold of agony on critics. And the 20-review entry applies for every other movie on this list, and that includes the usual suspects of garbage cinema, like the deep space train wreck Battlefield Earth, the box office turkey (turtle?) The Master of Disguise, Netflix's lazy western The Ridiculous 6, and flaccid softcore Killing Me Softly (which also makes a dubious appearance in the 200 best and worst erotic movies).

Shifting Gears: Accommodations (2025) Season 1, Episode 2

Pokes fun at kids with extra needs with zero plot closure

Still trying to figure out if this is something that is I'll come around. It's like Tim Allen is trying to make another carbon copy of all his old shows. Except he doesn't have the charm of the old ones. Instead of a befuddled dad who learns something instead he is a boomer that tries to force his very one into antiquated thinking. In this episode he attacks kids who need extra help with the "pull up your bootstraps" cliche.

At least this episode had Tim Allen being a little real and human with his daughter. But the whole plot if the show was completely unaddressed and was just left as something to make fun of.

The side cast scenes are far better than any scene with tim Allen. Sad to see. He used to be very funny and relatable. Now he is the yelling boomer "in my day..." or "get off my lawn"

Shifting Gears: Restoration (2025) Season 1, Episode 1

Very forced jokes that don't hit

I have liked almost all of Tim Allen's tv shows and movies.

That being said, this show felt very different from what looked to be a carbon copy of any tv show he has ever done. It felt angry and depressing. Every "joke" was a political joke that had the humour level of your grandma emailing you a long joke she found from 1996". The other jokes were tired age jokes.

Such a shame because usually there is point or moral story being covered very episode in his shows...Typical sitcom style...but this one just wandered.

It is a pilot, so chemistry may take a few seasons. Stifled seemed the most natural in camera. As was the guy from Magnim PI show. The not veiled in script worship of Tim Allen was sad, not funny.

I hope they can sort this out, as this is a show I had high hopes for but am very disappointed so far.

Heretic (II) (2024)

Great thriller premise built upon prejudice

So Hugh Grant as a villian creep is very compelling in the horror esque realm. The girls acting got better as the movie moved along.

The suspense was palpable but not for the reason I think the writer and director intended.

There was so much bible bashing and hate to Mormons, etc that seemed less about the movie and more about a disgruntled Hollywood person wanting to hate in religion.

The suspense of the entire movie was really cat and mouse which could have been done a million other ways and would have made this movie brilliant.

If you hate religion, then this movie is probably for you. It was very much that guy from the England version of the office who loves pontificating on how religion is fake.

But if you have faith, really any faith...then this movie will seem to have heaps of grotesque hate surrounding it and should steer away from it. It's mean just for the sake of being cruel.

Too bad really. Cause with a different premise than smearing religion, in particular Mormons, it could have been a timeless suspense horror classic.

And the end was a bit underwhelming mostly because of how it ends.

Ghosts: Sad Farnsby (2024) Season 4, Episode 7

Multiple Amazon in show ads SUCK

The show suffers from Amazon prime plugs in the actual show itself. It's distracting and serves zero purpose but more greed flation. Amazon taunting same day delivery which they fail to do in the real world. The irony.

The plot was ok. But the farnsby family are a bit dull.

No Way Up (2024)

So it's not the worst shark movie this year, but that's not necessarily an endorsement.

Acting is rough, script is trite and cliche.

But generically an ok movie if you ran out of A list shows to watch.

This should have been 1st episode back

The season renewed at episode 8. This is # 11 and it is the fiery one back that had a point and a plot. It should have been the forst episode back and built from there. Especially since the prior 3 episodes were filler nonsense that had no valuable content besides trite cliches trying to politicize western family soprano life in feathered and flowered words. And to be honest we're not as prions as they thought they were.

And to be honest, this plot turn should have happened season 2 or 3. The season after season of Duttons win with zero consequences got really old. And was beating a dead horse from season 3, 4 and 5.

Kayce Suddenly had 5 seasons of growth in 1 episode after 5 seasons of near no development. Yet was entertaining and showed that he could have been a true center of the show.

Beth is just as wretched as the very episode. Nothing seems redeeming in her character to rally around.

Jamie is a cowardly worm. Not sure what the point is for his character as all. He just a wimpering kid in very episode.

Hoping they find a point and follow it.

Lioness: The Devil Has Aces (2024) Season 2, Episode 7

Really Good show but a couple things are glaringly bad

So for the most part, the show is very well done. Season one is far better than season two. But they are both worth watching.

It has the spy and political intrigue that propels well. The plot and script follow well and seems to be good enough content to keep you watching.

But they are really rough parts is the super long pause moments to stress a political agenda or over emphasize how tough people are. I don't really mind the political talking like when two characters pretty much dead stop the show to talk about the state of the world and how news is fake. It's not so bad that it's done but it's so blatant that it pulls you out of the show.

The pother flaw is the non observance of "show don't tell". For the main cast female leads they make then so over the top "I'm more a man than the toughest man in the universe ". This is a Taylor Sheridan show and he seems to be all over the place when creating women characters. In Yellowstone he makes then gutter trash that just act like animals to portray toughness. Yet in Landman, he helps create a la yer character than menacing but it flows with the character and the actor does great. She was intimidating without having to debase herself. In this show it's a half split between. Crazy over bravado. I got shot but at deaths door I can combat 5 medical staff. And instantly jump back into combat. And is cruel and abrasive to the family to justify her job and toughness. The show is chalked full of tough characters but only the female leads are pushed into over acting. Which makes you laugh rather than stay in the show. Women can be tough, in both physical and mental ways but thus way felt cheesy and undercut who the characters were via poor script moments and over acting. The show diplomats does an excellent job in this. Femal leads that are tough, smart and easy to root for.
