Close Encounters with Xenomorphs on 'Alien: Romulus'
At the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, director Fede Alvarez explains the rule he set on 'Alien: Romulus' that "if it can be practical, it will be practical," so that the stars of his film, Spike Fearn and Archie Renaux, were always acting opposite an animatronic, a person in a full alien suit, or another physical representation of the xenomorph. Plus, Fearn and Renaux reveal that the apparent behind-the-scenes camaraderie of the original 'Alien' (1979) and 'Aliens' (1986) casts informed their performances in 'Romulus.'
