After spending much of his life as the archetypal struggling actor, Pedro Pascal found success in "Game of Thrones." Find out which role he played and 10 other things to know about the Chilean-American actor.
Pedro Pascal was born in Chile, but was raised in the U.S, including Orange County, California, and San Antonio, Texas. He fell in love with acting as a child, and has worked extensively in theater, both as an actor and a director.
Pascal's big break came when he, as an acting mentor, was helping one of his protégés prepare for an audition for a role that he thought was perfect for. He called his friend, Sarah Paulson, and she helped get him an audition. The role was Oberyn Martell on "Game of Thrones." His protégé has since forgiven him.
