She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: A Normal Amount of Rage
(2022)
Episode 1, Season 1

Fantastic start!
This first episode introduced She Hulk as a reluctant hero. A young lawyer forced into the hulk life. Tatiana Maslany is Marvel's latest casting home run. She brings Jennifer Walters down to earth, and lights up the screen in the process. She's fun, very smart and above all, normal.

Within the super hero genre, there is a ton of room to do virtually anything. In this first episode, we have a fun family-journey fantasy sci-fi comedy. The whole thing is a ton of fun, with lots of laughs and several surprises.

Mark Ruffalo is MCU gold. This man has played Hulk as a rage monster and as an oversized genius. After these 10 years, he IS Banner. For us MCU fans, he's an old friend. And it was so much fun to see him guide Jennifer through the beginning of her Hulk journey. I could watch those two on the screen all day.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Live in Front of a Studio Audience: 'The Facts of Life' and 'Diff'rent Strokes'
(2021)

Fun Nostalgia
I didn't take this as serious TV, nor should anyone. It was fun. The actors did a terrific job, and it was great entertainment. I can only speak for my house: we laughed from start to finish.

Ant-Man
(2015)

Fantastic fun!
This film fits perfectly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Its the right amount of action, comedy, drama and thrilling excitement.

I loved the acting. Evangeline Lilly is always superb. In my opinion, she helped lead an excellent cast.

And Michael Peña added such great humor. I found myself laughing out loud.

I would definitely recommend this film. Its fun from start to finish.

Coming 2 America
(2021)

Fun nostalgic romp
The original Coming to America was a fun, hilarious experience. For this second film, Coming 2 America, I had very low expectations. But this film is definitely worth a watch!

The comedy, in my opinion, is stellar, executed by a stellar cast. And there are so many references to the first film. It was like reliving a wonderful memory. Be prepared for surprises, laughs and memories!

Bones
(2001)

Coulda Been a Contenda
Snoop Dogg showed that his success as an on-stage performer is no fluke. He has presence and skill, and is a very believable hero-turned-villain in this film. I definitely recommend the film.

I would have liked to see more development of Pam Grier's character. Grier can definitely carry a film, and this one needed carrying at times. Some of the scenes are more gruesome than I prefer, and could have benefited from more work on the script and less on the special (gruesome) effects.

The flashback scenes put Snoop Dogg in his true element - the funky 1970s. Those alone make the film worth watching.

Altogether, this is an above-average film that will keep the attention of most people. You'll find yourself cheering for old Bones as he looks for his next victim.

Jakob the Liar
(1999)

Excellent Entertainment
If you are interested in the holocaust, and want to be entertained at the same time, Jakob the Liar is your film. This is not intended to be an historical film. And, to be sure, it isn't.

Just speaking for myself, I wish everyone would educate themselves about this horrible episode in human history. If you have a friend who refuses to watch honest historical films, turn them on to Jakob the Liar. It IS Robin Williams, after all. For sure, this film will encourage them to learn more about the holocaust. Its very entertaining and does give some superficial insight into what the atrocity was all about.

Robin Williams did his best. He did a fine job in this film, and deserves even more credit just for making the attempt. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it an 8.
