Review

  • Being a huge Joe Lynn Turner/Rainbow fan, it was great to seem him in a movie since he never played in the town I was living in the 80s. The only familiar person most people would recognize in this movie is the blond gal from Ghostbusters that Peter Veckman (Bill Murray's character) was testing for "psychic ability" using cards and ended up asking her out in the first 10 minutes of the movie. She is actually the star, and Joe Lynn Turner is the object of her desire and quest (to meet him, which she does). He plays a rock star which is very fitting and there is a good concert piece. I actually taped this movie on a Beta tape from television. Didn't care for the acting (by any of the characters), but I only watched it because Turner was in it; even if it was for only about 10 minutes or so. And, if I had a Beta player, I'd watch it again.
