• Why is such a good film not in the theaters especially with the craze of teen movies out there? Love Is The Drug surpasses them, why hasn't anyone recognized that? When you're growing up, the teenage years can feel like the greatest tragedy. Emotions run high; love is eternal, betrayal rampant and unforgivable and acceptance nonexistent. Even though the storyline is not original in drug use, casual sex, peer pressure, and absentee parents, but it manages to distinguish itself, largely through its directorial poise and focus on subtle character dimensions. The film doesn't seem to be moralizing the subject matter, but letting you come to your own conclusions.
