  • Watched it due to the stellar cast. However I was skeptical about SJP's ability to pull off a drama in a film, and wish I had been wrong. I wonder why the other cast members signed on. I especially looked forward to watching Simon Baker and Renee Zellweger, whose parts were unfortunately minimal. Taylor Kinney played a character he knows by heart by now, I surmise. This was a movie about SJP sulking on heels walking the streets of NYC after learning of her brain tumor one morning. Supposedly quite a respected singer and songwriter, her one performance left a lot to be desired. I wanted to stop watching at that point but wanted to see if a surprise awaited me at the end. It didn't.
