• It's 1987 San Francisco. Homeless street kid Marcus Lopez Arguello is suspected of setting the boys home on fire and killing many of the other kids. In reality, he didn't set the fire and escaped from the orphanage which is little more than a sweatshop. He is recruited by Saya into King's Dominion, a school for teenage assassins run by Master Lin.

I like the dark tones and the fun nihilism. I like the comic book style. I like many of the actors although there may be a few too many main characters. I'm not sure if Benjamin Wadsworth is charismatic enough to lead but I do like Lana Condor and Benedict Wong. The main issue is a lack of narrative drive. It needs a MacGuffin. It needs a real story. The show creates a setting but it spins its wheels with the plot. I held on to the fun and concepts for as long as possible but the story never gels for me. It's canceled after 10 episodes.
