• He's one of those socially conscious thinkers that has accumulated some street credo. Not quite my cup of tea but British people probably like him. His kind of humor comes off a bit tormented and he doesn't seem to be enjoying himself on stage. For Russel Brant it's a way to pay the electric bill. We've all got to do it. I didn't laugh once throughout his performance. Ricky Gervais can run rings around him yet there's a sense of curiosity which he generates on a grand enough scale that I can actually enjoy is act. Kind of like a freak show. It's a bit grotesque but you can't look away. So not a high rating but not terrible either.
