First of all ,the worst cgi work I've ever seen.. keeping in mind the movie was taken in 2010 with a low budget ,its okay... Appreciate this great attempt, but felt that ,the cholas were overpowered and most of the scenes in the second half were less convincing... They've made up a sophisticated method to trap their enemies and at the same time are living a stone age life.The concept was great ,and the story also good,but the problem was adding up too much black magic and stuffs like that...They could do many magical stuffs and had to fight the enemies like normal people and failed...Felt like mixing up of many Hollywood movies..gladiator kinda fights, apocalypto scenes and the first half felt like indiana jones..indiana jones was a hit evenafter showing a fantasy like climax, maybe thats why selva included so much magical scenes..bcoz of a magical ending, I did not like the climax of indiana jones 1 ,and likewise i didn't like this too...rating 6 only because of the attempt...no wonder why this movie is a flop in theatres...i saw this movie because of its rating and people are calling this a cult movie..oh god
The first half was impressive which helped to ignore the bad cgi, but the second half was not convincing to believe the things that happened in the first half...final war scenes were awesome. Karthi did great ...most of the artist were overreacting when they get shot or killed..it can be easily noticed that they were jumping to fall before getting a bullet shot...but thats ok..the king is shown as a god or somewhat like that...afterall they all were normal humans.. this overpowered people were the main reason , I didn't like the movie...The main plot was great though
