• I grew up on I love Lucy, at at least re-runs, as an 80's baby, there was limited content on TV and most station showed programming from the 60's and 70's.

I'll be honest, the show really wasn't for me, but I could appreciate her genius. As I got older, I understood her business acumen.

This movie paint Lucy as a pioneer and innovator, and I don't question any of what I saw. My problem was it was hard to slip into the world. Nicole Kidman looks nothing like Lucy, I assume she is way taller, surely far too thin and far less funny. Javier on the other hand is also far too tall, far too muscular and far less handsome, in my opinion. Jessica Chastain would have been a better Lucy and. Jay Hernandez would have been a much more convincing Ricky.

Honestly, I didn't like this movie. I find Sorkin film to be funny, have complex and witty dialogue and AFI worthy endings. This film had none of that. I also think there is a limited audience for this as the show is so old, I just don't think many people alive care about the tale.

I gave this a 5 out of 10, mostly because it didn't stink, but it also wasn't good.
