I soooooo don't like the changes from the book (aside from the character of Merlin) and normally I am the one defending these changes in movies.....
But for me my dislike was more when I read the novel which just seemed to flow so much better.....
In addition I did not find the key characters 'fitting'. Allie was just not an Elle, Will was OK but not the vibrant and decisive personality in the book.....
Not a terrible film, but just OK...... would have liked more effort to add more of the magic of the novel......
