Review

  • I was quite pleasantly surprised by this film. It is an anthology type horror woven together nicely in good storyline. While I would put it more with a teen thriller, there is a lot to be enjoyed by the adult audience as well.

The plot is a new variation on the old theme of Halloween night and a haunted house with a ghost that needs vindication. There is intrigue, mystery, gore, some violence and bloodshed and some comedy. Nice mix.

The acting is quite good, the dialogue much better than average for the genre. While it may not win awards for complexity and character development, it is quite entertaining and creative and fun.

This is not a scary edge of your seat thriller that will leave you terrified and wanting the lights on. If you are a fan of Goosebumps or Stranger Things or Creepshow type, you might find you really enjoy this!
