    #1/4: Black Moon Rising (1986)

(7/10):It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than what you would think.

Black Moon Rising is if you take the outline of The Fast and the Furious turn back time to the 80s and add the respected Horror & Sci-Fi Director,John Carpenter,as the writer.

It's loaded with style, some great acting, especially from the likes of an early Tommy Lee Jones who is the easy standout in the film.

Giving it the Fast and Furious comparison doesn't really do it justice either, while not a great movie,it's not big, dumb and load like fast and furious is, the writing is solid with a solid story and a good sense of style.

It's one of those supercar movies, but it's not really all about the car, Tommy Lee Jones gets more screen time than the car; Speaking of the car, it looks pretty awesome, like a slick almost cyberpunk look, somewhat reminiscent of the car from Knight Rider.

It's got a pretty well done score and is paced decently well, I do have to give a recommendation as I really don't see this as a bad movie, it's just really cool.
