As someone who would be the "chubby, socially inept" guy in this trio, the movie was painful to watch. What happens is exactly what you would expect to happen when an awkward, balding, potato-bodied man with a reluctant girlfriend who is ten levels out of his league is horned in on by a handsome, young stud. Jealousy not only destroys whatever hope he might've had for a normal relationship, he must also confront the fact that he isn't the detached intellectual he thinks he is. He is exactly the kind of person who destroyed the world. "Loser loses out" should be the headline for this film. Sometimes truthfulness isn't funny precisely because it is true.
