• This definitely isn't as bad as people are making it out to be, I can see why some are put off but 2 and 3 out of 10 is wild.

The story is of a ship named the Demeter, there is a crew who are sailing cargo to London, the ride is tough but it is made that bit harder when a creature of the night starts hunting the crew of the ship.

Another Dracula movie but quite different to most, the movie does some things very well, the introduction to Dracula is very good, the creature hiding in the shadows, stalking the prey, having the crew go slowly mad over the course of the movie, some good death scenes also. Some good scares and practical effects. Good acting from the whole cast.

The movie has flaws, it's quite slow, it's 2 hours and I say there is 20 minutes of Dracula nights overall, which also took about 30 minutes to get going, there are parts that seem unnecessary to the movie, also the fear aspect falls away when the movie becomes a witch hunt rather than a horror if that makes sense. It's fine, not enough for me to watch it again, 6/10.
