I've really enjoyed episodes one and two of Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor Who. It's vibrant, fast-paced, funny, and, most importantly, a bit different. While I've seen a lot of negative reviews, I think that's because this series breaks away from the usual formula. It's not the same stale approach we've grown to expect; it's got a jazzy feel and is genuinely funny and uplifting - like Christopher Ecclestone's Doctor was at the time.
Episode one is a perfect opener for what's to come. The acting is good, the story is fun, the monster is original, and it's fun!
Episode two has a fantastic villain, one of the best I've seen in a while. Some sort of musical Pennywise: darkly funny and genuinely a bit scary.
I hope it keeps up, and I suspect it will. Great show!
