  • In the vein of the Beatles' collaboration with Richard Lester (Hard days Night) we have here a spoof of American Spy genres of the period (Matt Helm et. al. ) and political lampoon.

The actors were members of a then popular comedy group called 'Les Cyniques' (the cynics).

This film was an attempt on the one hand to capitalize on their popularity and create a movie that would find a wide market in the Quebec forum and on the other hand bust through Hollywood's strangle-hold on the Canadian Film Distribution Market...

Artistically it was a so-so failure. the jokes are stale and the formula was stolen from people who did it better. The comedy was crass and the low budget is all too apparent.
  • This film is not accessible for everyone... The Quebecquers and the French can appreciate this movie in his full value. The Cyniques and Louise Forestier are assembled together in this adventure supported by the music of François Dompierre. A lot of songs are hilarious like the classical ''vulgar song''. A lot of scenes are funny. The performance of Forestier and members of the sarcastic humorists group (that are playing a lot of roles) are nice. A movie to see if you are a Quebecquer because it contains a lot of cultural elements that are typical to us. The off voices contribute too to the originality and the funny aspect of this musical comedy.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Ixe-13 is a musical based on a french comic caracter. Ixe-13 is some kind of a bad "James Bond", a pale imitation of the superheroes generation. Don't be fool: no great singers, no good actors, no plot and also... no fun! Without these, don't be surprise to fall asleep.

Rent it and burn the tape. You'll save some lifes.
