    Warning: Spoilers
I liked the episode very much. A trip to a water park, Malcolm vs. Reese and Francis vs. Spengler in epic battles all the while Lois and Hal and Dewey and the sitter try to have some quality time - both with bitter endings. Had a couple of good laughs out of it and the story of Dewey chasing the balloon until it pops and leaves him somewhere completely different than where he has started has a philosophical quality to it. That is phantastic writing imo.

@Cursedchico: maybe you should just stop watching the show altogether because there will be A LOT more scenes where the mother screams at their kids. Giving bad reviews for this is like disliking water because it's wet. Also, there is so much good stuff here that you could enjoy instead of putting it down. I'll give this episode 10/10 because I don't like your review.
  • The last episode was done so cleverly. I don't know if it's only me cause I am seeing other people commented not enjoying it. The series is truly important in the way that it changed the trajectory of sitcoms.

There was something in the air that night. The stars were bright, Fernando! There were shining down on you and me, for liberty, Fernando.

Whenever I hear that song in the radio I have to think about that legendary scene with Dewey and the babysitter dancing. Amazing subplot! I like Deweys kind of dreamerish nature. I loved this scene so much and when I saw that episode would come, I thoght about that scene.

All in all, I do like the three plot strings in that episode: The waterpark string, the pool billard showdown of Francis and commandant spangler and of course Deweys and the babysitters!

    Love it!

This is my favorite episode of the season, and one of the best of the series. The ambition behind this episode really pays off. Lois' speech towards the end is perfectly acted and really shakes you. The Francis pool game plot is one of the most clever storylines I've seen in a sitcom. I have nothing but praise for this episode.
  • They just had to slip a little racism in there. I suppose it was 2000 but still, no need for it and it was outdated then as well. Shouldn't have to say this, but there's nothing wrong with being Indigenous and Aboriginal, and using it as an insult for inappropriate behaviour is poor writing.

Other than that the episode is pretty funny. The b story is brilliant and shows some great interactions with Francis, also showing how he can be great if he puts his mind to something. A-story wasn't as strong, mainly since Malcolm's and Reese's war isn't as creative as it could be. Dewey has a pretty wholesome side plot as well with his nanny.

All up, solid episode with some outdated and racist dialogue which really wasn't needed.

    Was not so nice

    So i gave 5 / 10.

An authoritarian mother, shouting to kids again.

This is the last episode for a long time i will see in this series. Because i watch series season by season.

Season review I gave 5 / 10 for the season. An authoritarian mother, shouting to kids mostly in episodes. Always try to control the kids. That is why i did not like so much. There were good parts when it is not in the house, like in the school scenes. First episode was really nice. This is the last episode for a long time i will see in this series. Because i watch series season by season.
