To those who think this movie is just the Philippines' version of "One Missed Call" you're wrong. This movie was released during 2006, and One Missed Call was released during 2008. I understand that the Philippines' entertainment isn't the greatest out there, but if you decide to bash on them, get your information straight.

By the way, I'm watching it now. It's kind of funny, but the plot is interesting, and it's much different compared to One Missed Call. The reason why the phone calls are happening is different, so keep that in mind.

    Sorry for the almost-kind of-rant.

TXT is yet another low key Filipino ghost story with a text messaging angle that makes it a little similar to ONE MISSED CALL. As with usual for this genre of Tagalog film-making, the horror content is really limited and only comes into it in the last ten minutes, by which time it comes as too little, too late. This one's about a man who is killed in a car wreck before returning from the grave to watch over his grieving girlfriend. It mostly consists of the main actress looking very worried indeed.

I was more interested in watching the Special features section of this movie in DVD, the movie was so passable, unoriginal and clearly for a horror movie, doesn't have any horrifying moments, oh wait there's one creepy scene, its the scene in that food store wherein the vendor notices a lone guy with his head bowed down that looks like the "ghost" but apparently it was just a customer texting his girlfriend, creepy but became funny at the end, and it actually was the only effective scene in the whole movie. Anyways, I don't know how accurate this movies' claim on the special features that its director is the first and ONLY filipino who was ACCEPTED at USC Master's in Film. There have been hundreds of thousands of Filipinos in southern California for many years now, and to claim that is pure arrogance and misleading. I don't know where they get their facts and statistics. Mike Tuviera, being the son of TV producer, Tony Tuviera is sure is lucky to have his film debut with all the necessary support a good dad can offer, plus with other friends in the business, and his education at USC, one would expect a very intelligent and promising directorial debut, but its just disappointing at the end. Another overrated film overall.

This movie is like the movie "One missed call". This movie is making me so mad. It has the same style of the movie "One missed call", but they change some stuff. And it's making me mad because the ring tone of the girl is so similar on the movie "One Missed call".... again.

This movie must be the most unoriginal movie I have ever seen in my life. I wish they changed most of the stuff from the movie so it won't be so bad.

The movie alone is OK, but it's unoriginal. Movie creators in the Philippines should make original Filipino horror movies, not imitating Japanese horror movies. Philippines has a lot of different type of ghosts stories and they should make those types of movies.

why does this movie remind me of one missed call?? oh yeah, the moving mms part. and pretty much everything else.

BUT! for a Filipino horror movie, it was above average. finally, something different. most Filipino horror movies include abandoned houses, lost travelers, vases... you get the picture. and the movie seems timely, what with the Philippines being the so-called 'texting capital of the world' rage, but it won't be enough to scare the pants off of people. still, i liked it, it was definitely better than what? sukob... then again, maybe it's because i don't see Kris Aquino as an actress. but, *hooray!* for Angel Locsin on this one.

although... TXT isn't really the kind of movie you'd pay to watch again. there wasn't really any 'scare factor', more of a 'surprise factor' that creeps up to you when you least expect it.

BUT! again, why did they botch the ending?? it made me laugh so friggin' hard, i forgot i was watching a horror movie!

...then again, there would always be part in horror movies that make me laugh. O_o
