  • Do not let Anshuman Jha's innocent demeanor deceive you. He is a normal delivery boy during the day, but at night, he transforms into an animal vigilante. If he finds someone tormenting animals, especially dogs, he becomes extremely violent and incapacitates the abuser. He also befriends a hyena which saves his life in the climax. Ridhi Dogra is a sincere cop who is on his trail. Paresh Pahuja is a sophisticated businessman who is involved in the illegal animal trade. #Lakadbaggha is a must watch for those who keep yelling ''bollywood does not experiment with subjects''. Performances are outstanding. The action sequences are well choreographed. Rating 3.5/5.
  • NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!

This quote fits for the lead character ARJUN. This dude showed some realy nice action scenes. His physique, costumes and hairstyle is close to Bruce Lee. Female lead is not promising. She should have been a journalist instead of a police officer in this movie.

Weak screenplay and unnecessarily long conversations ruins the flow of the flick. Film creates a feeling that its based on animal trafficking and the hero is going bust a big racket but eventually nothing big happens. It only focuses on the Hyena. More screen time should hv given to show how the bond between the hero and the hyena develops.

But definitely worth a watch. If any wise Bollywood directors notice this new guy ANSHUMAN JHA then Bollywood definitely gets a new era Action Hero. Kudos to the ANSHUMAN JHA!

Long Live INDIA..! Long Live SERBIA..!!
  • The story idea of this film is its unique aspect. The film has interesting action sequences and Arjun, played by Anshuman Jha has caught the nuances of classic hand-to-hand combat with finesse. Apart from the action, the story revolves around Arjun, his love for animals and till what extend he can go to protect the helpless animals. Which most Indians would call stray, but Arjun thinks otherwise of it. Character of Akshara is warm and her chemistry with Arjun is refreshing, including their sparing scene which is something to look out for. The technical aspects of this film are fine and the music supports the emotions pretty well.

Overall it was a breeze to watch and an enjoyable film. Such films should be supported.
  • I was able to see the movie in Stuttgart Germany at the Indian film festival, so I was simply curious and open for everything to come.

    And it came good!

It was a good mixture of action and background story!

What really impressed me was, the actor who played Arjun trained for 6 months and made the action scenes look so real! Congratulations to the actor/s and the trainer who made a really good job!

It's the first time I've seen a secret vigilante fight for animals!

Sometimes I wished they would have given more time for the topics(animal cruelty) which came up, because one time it felt like a recital of topics. Then the single scenes with the background story between the action, are worthy to have some time to breath and to unfold naturally.

If there are movies which are allowed to be longer than 1.5 hours, it's Indian movies!

Maybe I just wished, the movie would have been longer 😅

It's the first part of a trilogy or series, so I'm excited to see what the crew brings out in the second part!
  • Sameer lodaya

A very good attempt was seen here by the whole team

The content is new to Bollywood of animal used for illegal activities and how a guy tries to save these animals..the makers have shown good detailing of animals and their breeds..performances of both Anshuman and Riddhi very good along with Paresh

The best part of the movie is the action which is one of a kind Anshuman riddhi and Paresh gave good action scenes

As it was as a action packed movie the pace should be very fast and some long action scenes were required..the love story was dumb

The movie is perfect for OTT watch.
  • "Lakadbhagga" presents an interesting concept centering around a vigilante with a mission to protect street dogs. It's a distinctive storyline that sets the film apart. Yet, the execution and the cast's performance are a mixed bag, diminishing the overall impact of the film.

Anshuman Jha, who is given the responsibility to lead the film, disappointingly delivers a less than satisfactory performance. As the vigilante, the character demanded a stronger, more convincing portrayal, which unfortunately Jha falls short of delivering.

On the flip side, Riddhi Dogra is the film's saving grace. Continuing her outstanding performances from her TV Series "Asur", she brings an exceptional depth to her role in "Lakadbhagga". Dogra demonstrates her versatility and ability to excel in a variety of roles, making a strong case for her to be featured in more mainstream Bollywood films.

The direction of the film leaves much to be desired. It fails to do justice to the unique premise and doesn't manage to evoke the intended emotional resonance. The setup in Calcutta, while rich in cultural heritage, seems misplaced for the context of the film. It doesn't add much value to the storyline and instead ends up feeling forced and inauthentic.

Overall, "Lakadbhagga" is a film with a promising premise, bolstered by a remarkable performance from Riddhi Dogra. However, it stumbles due to a weak lead performance by Anshuman Jha, lackluster direction, and a mismatched setting. It's a commendable effort that falls just short of delivering a fulfilling cinematic experience. If you are a fan of Riddhi Dogra, "Lakadbhagga" is worth a watch for her performance alone.
  • I will call it a Pretty average Animal-Lover Movie; started with high class action sequence, a promising plot, well performing martial arts, local Kolkata flavor with realism about restaurant crime; pretty promising in initial 20Min. But suddenly the storyline diverted into a cringy unrealistic love story, Investigation faded away, emotion between Main character & Animals were gone, storyline became weak and most irritating part- the Screenplay got extremely slow. It suddenly became a boring 2hr show with a promising plot and good casting.

Anshuman Jha was the real show stealer of this show. His Martial Arts were pretty real and he have done justice to his training. Riddhi Dogra is beautiful as always but her role is pretty much confused in several points in this movie. They should definitely have avoid this unrealistic Love story between a Crime Branch Police Officer with such Beauty and have Public attention with a Courier Delivery Skinny average looking guy; I mean How's it possible! The antagonist was Nice and his female partner was also badass but they also failed to impress with a weak Climax.

Overall a One time watch or better to avoid kind of movie, I will give it 4 Out of 10 Stars. One detailed Kissing scene was there so it's your choice whether to watch with family or not.
  • We need to encourage these movies because they have some messages that we overlook or we don't care about. The audience and their taste is now changing and hopefully people will accept these kind of contents with more welcoming manner. I would like to encourage the director, producer and the actors and everyone associated with this project to continue to work on projects like these. I can understand that the money is less however the content is pure and authentic. Giving 9 starts and keeping one star so you guys have room to do even better and grow. There are a lot more contents and issues that people needs to be aware of. Cheers!
  • Lakadbaggha is a different movie and is a must watch. Amazing action, good actors and most importantly, it revolves around dogs!! The character Arjun has my heart!

This movie has real action scenes which we rarely find in Bollywood. Anshuman Jha is outstanding and has done justice to the character Arjun.

Lakadbaggha is truly a love letter to all dogs! It highlights the illegal activities related to animal trafficking. It also focuses on Indian dogs specifically. The way the character Arjun shows his dedication towards the STREET DOGS is commendable. We need more people like Arjun to actually care for the dogs!

Lovely movie! Different concept. Must watch!
  • Lakadbaggha is a action comedy crime fantasy thriller film directed by viktor mukherjee.

This film deserves to on the watchlist, but sadly it is going under the radar. There isn't much talk about it. Anshuman jha as 'arjun bakshi' really brings his A-game into play, he is serious about fluffy friends and other animals and does not beat around the bush. Felt good to see him transform his body for the role. Ridhi dogra as 'akshara d souza' too is very idealistic and opinionated. She too plays her character with sincerity. Paresh pahuja as 'aryan d souza' though outshine the former duo. He is calm which makes him even more menacing. Kharaj mukherjee and milind soman too make good appearances.

The next strong point is its martial art action. The trio have worked on the martial art skills, which is in full display. The POV shots during the action also notch up the action scenes. The cinematography is very good. The handheld shots through the lanes of kolkata establish the world really well. The screenplay is very engaging. It is slow paced no doubt but never feels lethargic. It takes its sweet time to establish the three central characters nicely.

However there are some drawbacks. The police investigation is very much half baked, it never gets serious about the hoodied vigilante. The bgm in general is good, but in the concluding action sequences, it needed a bit more kick and power, which it lacked.

The commentary that the film holds is strong. It raises a voice about the restrictions on indian breeds in indian shows itself. This is a hardly talked subject. It also focuses on the illegal animal flesh trade. There is a lot of philosophical dialogues about the difference between anarchism and vigilantism, the effect of loss on human life and its metaphor with a pair of headphones. It never reaches the point of lecturing.

One of the very underrated films in 2023. Definitely, watch this.
  • This movie takes a bold step to speak for our Animal Friends who cannot raise their voice against atrocities committed against them, therr are strict laws for violence agay humans, but no one is prosecuted for voilence and atrocities committed on animals, street Dogs killed for illegal meat trade, endangered. Animals caged and sold to the ruch so that they can't flaunt their status . Lions killed for trophy hunting. We should have more movies like this to raise our consciousness and also start a movement against illegal animal trade.

Actors have done justice to their role and our Animal Friends have also played their part .
  • Lakadbaggha is a story of an animal called hynah that went missing after some people theft him from its owner in order to protect it. This movie is a nice movie on animal safety and protection. Tells us a message taht it is not right to kill animals. This movie is aa fight for animals's survial. In this movie fighting is for a good noble cuase unlike contemporary movies where fight is for vengeance or love. I loved the concept of this story and acting performances of all the stars in the movie. Anshuman Jha and Ridhi Dogra killed it with their performances and even the rest of the star cast. I also loved the love story, romancce concept of this movie. A romance where a wman makes the first move. I loved to watch the expression of love and apporch from a woman perspective in this movie. This movie was a teat to watch as it was something diferent not ordinary but extraordinary. I liked the action sequences aloso in this movie karate type- martial arts type. I loved to watch Ridhi Dogra's character on screeen. Literally felt in love with her expressions and performance skills. Even Mlind oman and Paresh Pahuja. Their perfromances are also extraordinary. I had a nice time watching this movie and I recoemmend you also to watch this movie. I rate Lakadbaggha 10 stars on 10. This movie is a must watch, i tell.
  • Lakdabagga is an important film, I think this film didn't get the it should have. Anshuman (Arjun) has done a great job, fight sequence was too classy , akshara and his brother. Akshara and her brother also did a good job. I hope to watch the second part of this film soon.

The concept of the film was very clear and the casting of the film was also accurate, wanted to see more of Arjun's father's character. The location of the film was good and the background music of the film was quite melodious, matching with the story of the film.

Congratulations to the entire team of Lakdbagga. I hope to see the second part of this film soon.
  • Such a fresh story..and such real action absolutely unheard of in Indian cinema .

It's a such an out of the box content for Bollywood ...The lead actor Anshuman Jha did a fabulous job in getting in the skin of the character...absolutely authentic performance. The lead actress looked a bit too done up for her role but her eyes were very expressive and intense.

The director could have definitely been more crisp but nevertheless the story of the film stood out as the hero for me .Also the action sequences were brilliant and definitely deserve a mention for looking so real ..very unlike what you mostly see. Hope to see many more films being made on such subjects. Congratulations team Lakadbaggha.
  • This film immediately caught my attention because it's on an important subject that needs to be brought to light- animal rights, but also it ties in the importance of giving a voice to the voiceless. Although the title means "Hyena", this film exposes the horrible treatment that happens with MANY animals. The entire cast was outstanding and really put their heart and souls into their work. Anshuman Jha's complete commitment and passion to bring his character and this story to life makes the film even more captivating. His vulnerable and honest performance is one you DEFINITELY do not want to miss.
  • I will keep my review short and effective. This is worth viewing. It us not one of the perfect pieces of work but it did hold its ground for me. Enjoyed it. The action sequences are well defined. The story line is coherent. It does address some of today's issues in it's own way. The performance of the protagonist within given constraints is commendable. This is binge worthy. The viewer is engaged from the beginning. What falls short in screenplay is made better in the making and performances of the cast. Here fantasy and friction meet the thrill. If you are an avid binge watcher, don't miss this.
  • Vigilante for animals. Loved the thought and the film. Action is raw and first grade. Stunts by Kecha khamphakdee is the best I have seen in an Indian action film in a long time. The cinematography is top class and Kolkata looks real yet peotic. Direction is weak at places but the performances more thn make up for it. Ridhi Dogra and Anshuman Jha chemistry is titillating. They should do anpure love story. Eksha, the female villian is menacing. Kharak Mukherjee is as always dependable. The VFX and the hyena is to me appreciated for a medium budget film - clean and belieavle. Anshuman is an actor to watch - can do anything it seems. Loved it. Waiting for part-2.

Was blown away and awestruck by the action sequences done by everyone in the film. Specially the action done by the lead Anshuman jha was slick and flawless. The storyline, direction, acting and everything was on point. I really wish that Bollywood's directors and actors should start telling stories like these. Movies like these which talks about animal safety should be talked about and more and more people should watch this great action flick available on Zee5 in India. And I really hope there is a sequel. Will be waiting for it. Cheers to the makers and the whole team of Lakadbaggha. And All the best for your next venture.
