  • Again LMN doesn't disappoint you. Here the leading lady attempts to be a spy with obvious give-away clues as to her phony disguise. She goes around stealing information and snooping into the villains stuff. And no one catches her. When finally she is caught we all cheer hooray. All these LMN snoopy females are boring and unrealistic. Plot is boring, acting is boring and story line is very boring. Nothing really happens in this movie. We wait 2 hours to see the leading lady win her case. Boring. Nothing really exciting happens in this silly film. I found all the actors as silly in their portrayals as well. Not one outstanding performance. Typical LMN acting going nowhere. Oh, yes, the music is good. But that is all.

I really do not know what made me watch this rubbish until the end. I normally only watch dross like this until the end only if it is sci-fi. The acting was mediocre at best and the story linear and predictable. I give this a big 'miss'.

Monica (Mon) Boland met her husband Josh just after he joined the FBI. She was working as a bartender at Krowchuk's, to help pay her way through school at Boston College. Later they married, and Mon went on to a career as a superb accountant. But Josh was killed in a dangerous mission, and Mon must now go undercover while working close with Isaac, Josh's boss at the FBI and the best man at her wedding.

Mon's undercover assignment is to penetrate the tough Irish crime syndicate headed by Collin Murphy. Mon returns to her bartending roots by taking a job alongside Gemma, another bartender who, it turns out, had slept with Josh during his sting operation. In conversation with Gemma, Mon admits to now going on a "drunken booty call" in which she spent the night with Collin's right-hand man Aiden. Mon confesses to having "real feelings" for Aiden, whom she believes is a decent person who would be better suited for selling life insurance than shilling for Collin. The fact remains that both Josh and Mon felt compelled to sleep their way as a loyal G-Man and G-woman.

Suspense is maintained in the film due to a mole who has penetrated the FBI and is funneling information to Collin in return for money. Is Mon's friend Isaac too smooth, and might he be the mole? The other FBI officials with knowledge of Mon's movements are SA Teressa Lidiard and the sleazy internal affairs officer, SA Dueck. The question is who set up Josh and is now fingering Mon for the fall?

While the romantic connection between Mon and Aiden was a little difficult to believe, the actress playing Mon still gave an extremely credible performance as the accounting wizard. And, she could also make a mean margarita!!!
  • Excellent movie. Great twists, keeps you engaged the whole time. Great acting. Not your ordinary Plat. Breath of fresh air. Better than some popular Hollywood production. This movie is a 7-8 but I am giving it a 10 to offset the low ratings.
  • OK, its a Lifetime movie and we all know that many of them are very predictable and obvious. And this movie is as well however, I really liked this one. I am a huge fan of Jewel Staite and she did a fine job in this movie. The other actors are OK, not award winning but good. And I did not find this as tedious as some of the other reviews have said. This movie kept me interested all thru the movie. We have a wife who is a forensic accountant whose husband is a cop. The husband is killed and someone tries to frame the cop as a bad cop and his wife as trying to hide money. Eventually she gets a job as a bookkeeper for the criminal who she suspects killed her husband.
  • Watch how a loving, faithful wife resolves to track down her husband's killer. Simple as that! Though not a private investigator, she has skills that could enable her to succeed.

The female star - Jewel Staite - used to belong to Serenity's crew, back in 2002, in the TV Show "Firefly"; playing the part of the mechanic.

The story is straightforward - nothing exceptional - but it keeps you interested and hooked right up to the finish line. Don't take my word for it....check it out for yourself, and avoid being deterred by the scarcity of reviews. This little gem goes undiscovered by many....why add your name to this list?

    Personally, I enjoyed every minute!!

I actually enjoyed this film, yes it was a bit far fetched at times but I wanted to see how it ended.
