  • Cute buddy comedy with good acting, a decent plot, and a satisfying ending. Solid performances from Sean Giambrone, Chris Gauthier, and Joey Bragg, which is the best we could we hope for with the material they had to work with. Unfortunately, this is a "great" TV movie when compared to the usual dreck that we've come to expect from the Disney Channel these days.

I remember when the House of Mouse used to care about their product (the late 90's— early 00's). I truly miss the clever writing, direction, and editing of Kim Possible, Phil of the Future, Even Stevens, and Lizzie McGuire. Since Gravity Falls and Phineas & Ferb were cancelled, the only decent Disney shows currently in production are Star vs. and Penn Zero; the rest are just a waste of time. Disney needs to hire a new programming director, and I would happily take that job.
  • Nerdy Mark fails the driving test for the fifth time and is forced to take the bus with his dorky best friend Russell. He is overjoyed when beautiful Ashley asks him to drive her to a party. Now he has to pass the driving test quickly and easy DMV instructor Glenn seems to be the ticket. It's the start of a series of outrageous adventures as they try to fix Glenn's marriage and get to the party.

I love the The Goldbergs so let's check this Disney kids movie for Sean Giambrone's sake. Firstly, I notice a glaring similarity between Mark and Russell leaving their height difference aside. For a good comedy duo, they need to be much more different. Including Glenn, everybody seems to be wacky, weak, and loud. It's a lot of the same thing from these characters. A change in speed is often effective like a baseball pitcher. That's why the tougher Angela character is a breath of fresh air. It's also cute that she likes Russell. I'm not familiar with DisneyXD but I get a feeling that it's all wacky, loud kids doing a lot of overacting. Honestly, it's very tiring. I do like the actors and the characters are more cute than annoying. There are worst things in the world.
  • Wow! Russell Crowe really packed on the weight in order to play the role of the driving instructor. Pretty soon, his legendary weight might match up against another legend in Marlon Brando. Perhaps they can make another movie on Fat Albert, and let Russell Crowe play the leading role. Or, Russell could dress up and drag, and play the role of the next Big Mamas House.
  • Disney channel movies, especially for its lessor network, are becoming more rare. This movie now has completely disappeared from any rotation and apparently is hated by most.

To the contrary I thought it was good. It had the feel of 10 year ago DCOMs where the goal was to make a movie about young people for its own reward. Not to hope that this one may break the bank like High School Musical.

At times funny, at times silly, with a nice lesson one should appreciate themselves for who they are and others will as well. If it ever comes back on you should watch.
  • I love this movie so much, it should probably be on my top 20 list, it's just got great comedy, with smart humor, and slapstick humor that really adds to the narrative. It's just fantastic.

Mark keeps on failing his driver's test, so he seeks out the perfect driving instructor in order to ace his test. Let's see how this goes... Mark & Russell get in hot water when the instructor gets a call from his wife... some bullies come out of nowhere and terrorize Mark & Russell...

This Disney XD has many funny scenes and characters. I'd recommend watching this movie if you like the old Disney Channel movies from the 2000's or that young kid from "The Goldbergs," with the blonde hair.
  • If you think Leonardo DiCaprio was good in Titanic you clearly haven't seen Akshay Bhagria in Mark and Russels Wild Ride. This was some of the best background acting I have ever seen. The way he walked past the guy making a fart joke brought real tears to my eyes. Akshay Bhagria is the next Tom Hanks. #Akshayforpresident
