The chief of the gang, Terence, wants to marry the owner's daughter Adrienne, and has convinced her father to give her to him, with no regards of Adrienne's feelings, who is in love with and loved by Mathias. When Terence steals Mathias 50,000 Lira, and Mathias, being officially dead can neither marry Adrienne nor denounce Terence to the police, he decides to do something about his state and travels home, just to notice that Romalinda has remarried.

- Marshal Reb Russell (Reb Russell), working for the Cattleman's Pretectice Association, is sent into a territory to investigate a large-scale rustling operation carried out by a well organized gang of outlaws. He is ambushed outside of town by Jerry Blake (Gene Alsace), a man he once sent to prison, and kills him in the ensuing gunfight. Red finds a note on Blake that introduces him to man called Deke. The gunfight is witnessed by Tommy Lord (Hal Taliaferro) and his girlfriend, Sue Callahan ('Lucille Lund), whose father, Wade Callahan (Lafe McKee),has been a victim of the rustlers. Sue rides for the sheriff, Curt Turner (Slim Whitaker). It turns out that the sheriff and his ten-man posse comprise most of the members of the rustling gang and have no intentions of allowing Reb to leave the area with his life intact.
- A professor invents a radium tube that makes internal combustion engines stop running. He and his invention are captured by a gang of robbers. A federal agent is sent to rescue him.

Maximilian and Viki plan to elope the night of Helga's ball, but his father intercedes, sending Maximilian to the front lines when he learns of his son's wedding plans. Maximilian sends Viki a letter proclaiming his undying love, but the letter is never delivered. Instead, Viki receives a letter from the general, telling her that Maximilian is going to fulfill his family honor and marry Helga. When Maximilian does not arrive at their predetermined meeting place, Viki thinks the worse, believing that he was too cowardly to tell her the truth. After World War I ends, Viki becomes a stage star, while Maximilian is reduced to being a simple shoe salesman. Maximilian goes to Viki and proclaims his love once more, but she, still hurt by his desertion for the countess, spurs him. Maximilian, with a song from his heart, manages to win her back, and the couple is finally reunited.
