- Haruhi Fujioka (Haruna Kawaguchi) is a female high school student the prestigious Ouran Academy. One day, she wanders around the campus and stumbles by accident into the school's "host club". The host club consists of six handsome male students who entertain female students. Nishizaki is arrested at the scene and is given a 10-year prison term because of his voluntary confession. 10 years later, Takano Shigeru, a former police officer who has misgivings about the verdict of this case, starts to pursue the truth. He is convinced that it all began as a result of an incident caused by Nozomi and Naruse on an island in the Seto Inland Sea on the summer 15 years ago. "They committed a crime at that time. It was for the sake of each N."
- Asumi Kamogawa (Nanami Sakuraba) has always held a strong interest in outer space, influenced by her father Tomoyuki Kamogawa (Masahiro Takashima). When Asumi was a young child, Tomoyuki designed Japan's first manned rocket named "The Lion." Unfortunately, the rocket crashed into their very own hometown, killing many of the residents. Her father felt responsible the mishap and has carried a deep sense of guilt ever since. Once Asumi graduates from middle school she decides to enter the Tokyo Space Academy, a high school for aspiring astronauts. Her father doesn't want Asumi following his path, but going against his will Asumi nevertheless enters the Tokyo Space Academy.
- Kagura Akane (Horikita Maki) is the only daughter of a family who runs a teppanyaki place in downtown Tokyo. Akane had always been proud of her father Tetsuma, who was called the "No.1 teppanyaki chef in Japan." Growing up in such an environment, she naturally acquired "teppanyaki skills." However, when her mother died of illness, her father lost his energy to work and disappeared. Since then, Akane has managed and protected the restaurant all by herself. One day, out of the blue, she is visited by Erena (Katase Nana), the rich daughter of a major food company, who orders Akane to move out at once because her father had borrowed money against his restaurant. Though feeling disappointed, Akane makes up her mind to close the store. But when her father's friend, Kurogane (Jinnai Takanori), shows her "Ittetsu," a grilling plate that Akane's father cherished, it reignites her passion towards teppanyaki. In order to protect the restaurant, she embarks on a journey with Shinta (Tsukamoto Takashi) to search for her father, but wherever she goes, she ends up getting involved in culinary battles.
