the movie had a few flaws but Galgo saved it for me. his character was hilarious ,he needs to have his own show. he was so freaking funny, Antonio Banderas is a great actor ,and thats shows. i have read several reviews how bad this movie was.

but i gave it a chance and i like it it was slow at some parts and it looked cheap at few scenes but there was enough to laugh. it was not that bad as i expected

and Galgo was so excellent in his funny roll, he saved the movie for me. i could not stop laughing he was hilarious. Mel Gibson was great as well and all the old actors were great to watch.

this is the third but not the best one. it feels like they were trying to look for funny jokes , but it looked cheap.

some mistakes in the script as well.. they found chow in Mexico , and before they left his house he killed all of his roosters. what has that to do with the movie? i don't see the funny part of that . it did not tell anything to the story. just a random scene that could have been cut out of the movie.

the car accident with the zoo giraffe in traffic was also a kind of weird humor. making up all weird jokes and put it all together to a movie in random order is not really funny in my opinion.

and what about Phil? he was successful to break a stone wall with a sledgehammer , but he could not break a wooden door when he got locked up ? weak storyline.

there were some nice moments, but all together it was nowhere close to part 1 and 2 .

big names ? that must be a good movie? but after one hour i was still bored. watching this at home. thinking about the people that payed for a ticket to see this movie.and expecting to be entertained.

i still have to see the last 20 minutes sometimes this week or anytime. but i don't expect to be thrilled anymore by this movie.

also what is irritating me in this movie is that they keep playing that same melody every 5 minutes.

repeating that theme melody over and over again, in all kinds of styles and moods. how cute and genius ? or how irritating and unoriginal. in full orchestra, that melody plays, and next moment they play it in soft different instruments . and then in some minutes again. they play again that same melody in another style. in the background. the melody keeps coming back repeating itself , i can not hear it anymore , it is too often. the TV industry used to do this repeating melody trick for shows like the A-team in the eighties. but for a big 2014 cinema movie ? it seems a kind of cheap to me.

if you are a die hard fan of these big actor names and want to see every second they ever played in their life , than you could enjoy this movie and have it in your done list. otherwise i don't see what makes this movie so exciting. the story is some kind of weak in my opinion. not much happening. i might not even go see the last part of it. there are better movies to spend time watching on it.

i am affiliated and hired by the company to review this movie as excellent. we know we used old scripts from older famous blockbusters , but we hope nobody will notice that. also we don't really care if we get busted for that . the money will still come in .

we are sorry that the actors couldn't do a better job. we know everyone was just lousy , but hey , they were in for a few hundreds bucks and a cup of coffee, and we filmed it all in one afternoon in my garage.

we had 1 million dollar budget to film this. you can bet we bought for ourself a Ferrari and a Maserati sports car from that money.

then we had a few hundred dollars left , we payed the actors a generous 5 dollars each. and hired some 14 year old school kids to do their first special effects job.

they used their Iphone3 to download cheap fire effects from Youtube tutorials for beginners. the audience would not be so smart to see the difference anyway, right ? the costumes we found it on a flea market for a dollar. but it worked great i think.

also we could not think how to end a plot , so we just randomly stopped somewhere during filming. who cares anyway ?

so everybody enjoy this movie and be thrilled for a coming sequel. although we don't have a budget for that anymore since we bought the cars. thank you for that.

and the name ? we were first ! so Tom Cruise stole it from us. now we go to court , and he will pay for this.

OK this movie was annoying. the first hour it was just hard to watch. also the last part was painful .

so many things that were making this an unpleasant movie to watch. i am even waisting my time right now to write about it. this movie was a waist of time. it seems like an effort from mister big superstar how to make a movie with your own son. the story was kind of weak . more than half of the time the father was sitting down looking and talking to computers. because he was injured or whatever .

he was the entire movie in an depressive mode . how much fun is that to watch ? even the kid had a problem with his mind, trying to proof himself. to see the two talking to each other in depressive way ,for the entire movie was just pathetic. we all know Will Smith how of a happy clown he is. to see him now as a complete serious captain or whatever , feels a bit not believable. we all know it is Will Smith. every time the two look depressive to each other during a next father to son conversation , and i think , oh not again . so this is a family movie ? um , very nice with all the dead people hanging in trees and killed by some terrible monster. this is no way a good family film .

Will tried to make a family film , because he thought it was a cool idea to launch his son as an actor in a big movie , but the movie was just terrible. it make them both look stupid.

OK a few scenes were some fun with the gadgets , and the special effects on computer. but that didn't save the movie. i just wanted to see this one , because it is Will smith , and OK his son plays in it , so it would have been some obvious stupid movie, i just knew it. he has to show so much how cool he can do this kind of things with his son . it could have maybe worked out, if the script was better. somewhere during the weak story , Will was trying to give humanity a lesson about fear. . oh come on .this script was just terrible . the end was so predictable . there was no need to even think about what would happen. this movie was made by a 10 year old it seems. and then executed for millions because Will was in it. and Will said , hey i want to do this movie but only when my son can be in there as well. because i want him to be famous. the obviously drips of the whole thing here. this is definitely one of the worse movies i have seen . but for sure also most annoying. Will was lucky i watched it till the end , just because it was Will.

if it was anyone else i would have turned it off after maybe already 10 or 20 minutes, in the beginning during first minutes you could already tell that this movie was gonna suck .

i gave it 2 points , because there was some cool computer graphics for a few seconds.

if you don't care whatever you watch and don't mind to waist your time , then some people might say it was a great movie.

the director sure did a great job to choose stunning locations.

that was the best part of the movie. and there are lots of it. but the story didn't go anywhere for me. i couldn't find a plot . or an exciting script.

that felt kind of cheap. what was that for ? in that case i was watching moments and memories of an old man trying to plan a trip. i still enjoyed it. but it didn't came nowhere close to a Clint Eastwood western. no way.

i love westerns , and this one sure was great to watch , just because of the beautiful cinematography.

i love this movie from the first second. it was no surprise for me , i knew this had to be a fantastic movie, check it out: Mel Gibson, Mexican prison , bad guys , a bag full of money , chase in the dessert , corrupt police officers , and so on and on. what is there not to like.

it is Mel Gibson as usual , absolutely great stuff to watch. he is the cool guy and he will handle it. it is not gonna be easy , but let's just trust he will take care of it. if you thought "payback" was a great movie , then you need to see this one as well.

a look inside the Mexican prison is just incredible cool . i almost can't believe a crazy place like that really does exist , but it made the movie so much fun to watch. the story is great as well. you need to pay attention , it goes fast at few parts , i think i have to watch it a second time. and it will be with pleasure.

it seems it has negative reviews , i guess by Disney lovers who probably got payed to spread bad words about this movie. for unknown reasons, why would someone tell me to NOT see this movie unless they are involved in some business to destroy careers ? i am so glad i didn't listen to that nonsense . i might have missed out this masterpiece.

and Mel had some private problems ? who doesn't ?

before i watched it , i checked what it was about , rich family , Nicolas Cage , action thriller, sounds interesting. but during the movie i found out something is wrong with it. these days an action thriller needs to be more than just a few people in a living room and talking for the entire movie in the same spot non stop. it actually has more a feeling of a theater stage play. maybe a few seconds the camera leaves the house.

now i wonder where did the 35 000 000 dollar budget go to ? did they smoke it on weed during the filming ? but even then. it looks pretty cheap at all. if i had he skills i could probably do this movie for less than 1 million , that is how easy it looked like.

i still enjoyed watching it but it goes definitely not in my list of very good movies that i have seen.

i am gonna make sure if i see his name again on a next movie not waist my time on it . he seems a total amateur with this work on this one . i think someone lost 35 000 000 dollars here in this movie project... and who knows where they did spent it for. i guess not on quality.

i loved the entire movie.

i checked few reviews and saw complaints how bad it was because the original was better and the real story was different etcetera. for example the bird was not the same . well , who cares how many colors the bird had in real ? they made him like this, to fit the movie. and few other examples. just nonsense. if that is worth a bad review than you should stop going to cinema and stay in real life , and keep complaining just there . let me tell you about this movie some positive things. it kept me entertained for the entire playtime. the story was beautiful and greatly filmed , everything was just amazing. lets not compare this to life of pi. yes that was also on a boat , but the story is not the same . lets not compare it to titanic either , that was on a boat as well. and so on . i wouldn't mind see this movie again. it has beautiful shots to look at. too bad i saw the VFX Breakdown preview on Youtube , so i knew what was going to happen for a few parts.. but on the other hand , those previews made me wanna see the movie . i am happy i did. i totally love the movie. great stuff. also nice to see how big of a success it was when the book sold over millions of copies. these guys are just amazing. actually go check out as well the VFX Breakdowns on Youtube and be blown away by the high Quality CGI work they did for this movie. definitely one of the best CGI works i have ever seen . unbelievable good job.

I checked the cast and Ryan Gosling was in this movie , so ... i thought this has to be a good movie , and WOW i was so right.

i had no idea where this movie was going in the story . it went beyond usual film scripts i have seen lately.

this movie was a big surprise for me. i knew it was gonna be good , but it was even better. the garage guy was a cool dude. Luke should have listened to him.

i had no idea what movie to expect , i saw the title and thought i was gonna see an easy American style thriller action fun movie. i am open minded so i was ready for whatever came on the screen. however what i saw was an impressive movie that also seemed to be a true story . i can imagine those things really happened , although few erotic scenes looked really weird and not real , i guess i am not that perverted . but the whole film seemed very realistic, no crazy action 3D VFX etc.

one of the strong parts is the 70s feeling. the people look very 70s styled. i mean they did a fantastic job to show the feel of that time and how it looked and felt. if you were in the 70s you can definitely tell how realistic the movie was. another great thing was i didn't got bored for a second. the story went on and on , and i had no idea where it was going and it was very unpredictable and interesting to see how things turned towards the end.

last thing; there was a big shock moment somewhere in the movie , it scared the heck out of me , i suddenly jumped out of my chair for a second, i can't tell you what it was , you go see for yourself. if you like realistic 70s movies , this is a good one. i liked it.

OK i saw the bad reviews , they say : worst movie ever , shame , complete crap . bad CGI , bad movie , unbelievable trash blah blah , etc etc. i wonder what kind of people they are and what kind of drama art movie they are into ?

this is an expensive 2012 SF movie so they knew what they were gonna see. it looks like they were payed by some sort of conspiracy to write bad reviews and try to destroy the movie reputation. i am myself a true movie lover and saw this one with an open mind , i can tell you it is an entertaining movie. i really liked it. the story was a lot of fun , and now the CGI , i am not an expert but i think this is about the best CGI that has ever been seen in a movie . the futuristic city that was shown in this movie was amazing , if someone says this was bad CGI ? they probably got payed to say this. the whole idea of the story was interesting. but it is also a matter of taste and how open your mind is. if you are into different kind of movies than SF and love dramas and that kind , don't go see a kick ass SF movie and rate it as crap . if you love SF and CGI , this is probably one of the best you have ever seen . i loved it.

ah there was an old 1990 version , complete different , why would anyone compare those like a crying child ? there were similar ingredients with the memory issue , and that's about it.

i understand it all has to do with a matter of taste , i thought the last 2012 batman movie was kind a crap . but this one blew my mind. a great movie.

WOW what a movie! i couldn't wait to review this one. just got back from the theater and still impressed by the movie.

i knew i was gonna enjoy myself , i was ready for it , and hey , Tom Cruise is in it , that means a lot of fun. and yes what a fun i had watching this one. he is the ultimate hero and you just know he is gonna deliver.

so much better than the last batman movie , where you just see the hero get beaten up all the time by some masked dude, and loose all the fights and get sick and break his own bones etc and got trapped blah blah. no , not here, jack reacher is THE man . and he takes care of his situations. in a gentleman way. he asks you friendly if you are sure you wanna get into this.

the cast is unbelievable good. the bad guys are really bad and they look like you don't wanna meet them in real life. bravo for the casting. some nice people died in the movie and that felt really sad , i know it is a movie so that was OK than , but you imagine it actually happens sometimes in real life just like they showed you , so realistic. it makes you appreciate your own life better .

great plot , great storyline. great funny moments. thanks again tom , you did it again. can't wait for your next movie.

this movie was a big mistake. in so many ways. where was batman ? i almost didn't see him except for a very few times during the long almost 3 hours. and finally when you see him , he got beaten up , thrown away , broke in half , got tired , felt down, lost his voice, loose during fighting, got thrown in some jail , got confused , about crying when he was down. locked up , deceived, etc etc etc. nice nice nice ... NOT.

the villain had an irritating voice of a very old and wise university professor , and even when he was standing away 50 feet, it sounded like he was talking right in your ear. is that genius or what ? i say bad job mister sound guy... he looked kind of stupid with that thing on his mouth, but i guess the movie makers had to come up with something original. it also seems this story had nothing to do with the original batman except for his cape , in that case they would have better came up with a new character . and leave batman for the fans. it is like blending seriously spider man or iron man in a scary movie script. a few might appreciate the humor, but it is kind of inappropriate.

lets be honest , there were a few good parts interesting to see as well , but didn't save the crap . still waisted my time. i would not have miss anything by not seeing this movie. . and next time make sure batman fans are involved in the production.not just some big shot producer who doesn't care about whatever , just for the bucks. i say it didn't work out , despite the enormous financial success. it was the hype that did it , and batman's good name. i am not specific a batman fan , i just wanted to see a good movie.

oh by the way , the end was kind of cheap as well. i started to dislike everything in this movie.

it is a beautiful movie to watch. filmed with passion for nice nature overviews. story is kind of interesting. great acting, great cast. just a little slow movie but works OK. except.... i didn't like the very end.

they could have come up with a much better ending. it probably would have saved the financial disaster this movie was. if the end sucks, nobody is gonna like it.and it get bad reviews, next time think better about the script. guys?

beginning was exciting , all by all a strange movie , but i had a good time seeing it.

7 stars because the first 95% of the movie was kind of nice to watch.

this must have been one of the best movies i have seen in a theater for a long time, do you know that feeling when you leave the theater and think , boy that end sucks , well : not in this movie . i had no idea what to expect , but went with an open mind to see something about Jurassic park or so , which should be kind of cool. it was a little different than Jurassic but WOW what a great movie. it is about this high tech computer whizkid , crazy about portable mini cameras that sneaks into his father's expedition to Africa to find out more about unknown animals. the story doesn't get bored for a second and kept me excited till the very end. anyone who don't like this movie should not have been thinking about go see this in the first place. you know it is about dinosaurs etc. and that is what you are going to see. and in a very interesting storyline. i can't say too much about it. but only that i really liked it a lot. let me just say that my favorite part of the movie is where he got spit in his face. that was genius. if you saw the movie you know what i mean . i gave it 9 , which is Excellent.

i love it i love it i love it. i am a great fan of the first taken movie , so i was pleased to see the second one , and yes it delivers.

i also checked the bad IMDb reviews first , so i knew a bit of the story before i started to see the movie. i have to say something about the bad reviews. these are not fair.

for example : 1. somebody complained about the location . and said how beautiful turkey and Istanbul is in real life , and not much was to see about that in the movie.

well , it can happen that the bandits hang out in the worst places of town ? not so strange i guess ? bad complain. it just happens that the bad guys didn't go to the beautiful tourist areas with all the nice vacation spots. so what a bad complain

so go complain about American movies that do not show the beautiful new york but Bronx projects.

2. somebody complained that there were a few women in the movie who wear all black on body and face, Muslims i guess. so what is the complain here? are there no Muslims in a catholic country like turkey ? go to Germany or France or anywhere in Europe , there are millions of these black dressed women with face covered.

so i guess you find them in turkey as well. specially around those Muslim churches that are famous there in few parts of town . what a bad complain.

3. somebody complained about the girl driving style. she was not such a good driver and now in the action she seems to do an excellent escape job by taxicab. something wrong with that ? nobody ever said she couldn't drive. she just didn't pass the test. she might forget look in mirrors etc. she tried two times to pass the test so actually she really can drive. what a bad complain

somebody complained about the car driving at the border ? and said that there is no border direct between those two countries. something wrong with that border ? we know there is Greece in between Albania and turkey . but hey maybe they were already in Greece when they passed that border ?

somebody complained Liam was making fun of himself ? that is a personal opinion i guess ? to me he was doing the great job he always does in a movie.

6 . she threw grenades , and no police was seen. that doesn't mean there was no police. of course there was a lot of police , they just didn't show up in the movie , they sure were there doing their job investigating the grenades. come on , there is no need to all film that in the movie. what a bad complain again.

7.at the embassy he called his buddy at the golf course , obviously that was a well connected person he knows from his job , somebody that knows people at FBI and CIA , or has personal friends at the embassy , not just some house father. what did you think?

8 . plus maybe a few more , the complains are really bad. not so clever as you see. and people complaining about what is real or not ? go see spider man, he climbs on walls, he flies in the air , and has the power of a superhero , how real is that ? so : a bad movie because it is not real ? it is a movie. come on.

however , although i liked the movie a lot , i think the movie had a few flaws , but that was OK . it still was great

here are a few to mention ;

• Liam was all the time extremely lucky at the right times. how convenient. - he got chained , but he knows a way to pull his hand out of it. of course at that time all the gangsters left the room in stead of at least one guy should keep an eye on him. - and this one : while he was chained the bad guys stay away exactly long enough so he can make that call at no hurry. very convenient and lucky him again. - also ; everyone has guns all the time but the hiding father in the end scene didn't have a gun . how convenient for the story. - plus another good luck for Liam when he got kidnapped in the van, instead of bringing him 20 miles away or even 50 or more , the gangsters put him very close just 4 miles away from the hotel , so the girl did't had to go travel too far to find him. how convenient. OK , one more, Liam got lucky , the bad guys took their time to slowly start to kill his wife , so slow , that it finally didn't happen. they just teased her with scissors all the while.no hurry.very convenient for Liam to arrive in time.

anyway , i loved every second of the movie , BRAVO , great sequel. (but lets be honest the first one was indeed a tiny little better because it was new , and now you just know it , that he will fix the job and all will be OK and save ) hey of course his family is not gonna die. the film producer should do a taken 3 , i will go see it . Liam is such a cool actor, worth the time watching.

this film , is not good. the kind of humor is not a 40 000 000 dollar humor. for example , in the beginning of the movie he drops a cat out of the window , this is supposed to be funny. he kept on hanging on this joke walking around pretending he has a cat in his arms.

it is not funny. i am pretty sure no one ever laughed at this scene. it is such a waste of everybody's time working on the movie , as well a waste of time for the audience. the person who wrote this weak joke , should be fired. what were they thinking making this movie , that we are idiots laughing for just anything ? sorry but you need to be more funny .it was cheap . very cheap. than a bit later , he fights with the old lady and almost kills her. the wrong lady. also not funny. and these are just a few examples. weak script writing. there is no movie. just weak part after weak part. after about half an hour i couldn't take it anymore and decided to not waste my time even further. Rowan completely lost it in this movie , and i first thought it was gonna be fun , but no . skip this one . it is the opposite of a masterpiece . they could have spend their millions much better .

i can't believe the company responsible and paying for this movie actually approved it and let this all happen . they must have been sleepy while signing the contract for 40 000 000 million and not pay attention who wrote the extremely weak script..

sorry but in the end it feels like a waist of time.. there were a few cool scene's but that is not enough. it feels like this movie was made for 8 year old kids.

the big mistake in the whole production was the character from the rich guy. he behaved like a stupid kid all the way through the movie. that is not enjoyable to watch. if you are 8 years old you might have a great time watching him. but most of us viewers are grown up and don't feel any affection for such a screaming idiot. he screams all the time like a schoolboy and it is non stop, and that is just not fun.

i think the movie would have been so much better with just Cato . i think Cato was super cool, but .. i still don't understand how he got superpowers?

his laser eye in red for example? how convenient for the story ? it came out of nowhere because he grew up on the streets ? the script shakes on all sides. it didn't make any sense.

some good stuff as well ; the bad guy was great casting. i loved it . he should have done the green hornet ..

the 120 million dollar budget could have spent a lot better. the manager-guys at the production office lost it a bit , a lot...

OK , what can i say ,

everything seemed to be said already here before. the movie was on TV this week. i didn't want to see this movie at start , but decided to give it 5 or 10 minutes. i found out that the movie took my attention and i could not switch it of anymore.

it was very real to see, and i did that trip myself so many times every year.

it could have been me in the movie. but still the movie was easy to watch, just until the last 15 minutes. the beautiful and nice people in the plane all changed their minds into animals and horror monsters and fighted for the last seconds in their life.

i have seen fight scenes and horror movies, but nothing like those last 15 minutes.

it could have been everyone here from us.

i had a great time see this one here. i could imagine myself doing the same thing on a trip. the story and plot is great and had a good end . the only thing i could criticize is that the french girl spoke English with a very strong dutch accent.

i mean when you meet a french person that speaks English , we all know how that sounds , very funny English with a strong french accent and not with an obvious dutch accent. but besides of that i enjoyed the movie a lot.

not the best movie of the year , but for sure a lot of fun to watch and no boring moments . it gives you a look in the real life of such a road trip what you can expect and what people you could meet. good and bad .

it is hilarious how some reviewers are explaining that this dead experience coming back to life is not possible and so crappy . well yes of course it is not possible that is why it is a movie , and things happen there which is actually never possible in real life. DUUUHHH. if we start talking like that ,we could say ;hey spiderman movies are crap , because that would never be possible in real life. so anyone commenting that this movie is crap because it is impossible in real life , obviously they didn't get the point of the story and film. yes it is a story and a movie and it goes far and deep and it is not possible in real life , just like spider man or x-man movies and wolverine etc etc. so don't you think it is kind of stupid and childish to say that this movie is rubbish because it doesn't make sense ? well . then go review superman or just any scifi , and tell us all that it is rubbish because it is not possible . what about Donald the talking duck ? that is not possible either , so is that rubbish ?

OMG get a life haha i think this movie had a great story and a great plot , and was interesting to watch till the end. just use your imagination and enjoy the ride.

i had a great time watching this one.i would recommend it.

i like blockbusters and action stuff, but i can as well accept good movies with different stuff. but this one here : it was not really a movie.

sometimes it kept going on with shots of beautiful nature from oceans and space and jungle and animals , like you were watching a national geographic show. and then later again it showed pieces of a drama movie about a family and their problems.

the whole thing kept going for a long 2 hours and finally i felt asleep towards the end , but i didn't miss anything. it is not a movie with a plot and a story , it is just some film with a little bit of everything and few nature shots. so if you want a real movie with a story and a plot , don't waist your time on this one, but if you are into art of new and different kind of film making , than you could try this. i would not see this movie again .

this IMDb review page is so much confusing sometimes , it doesn't make sense in many cases. just pick any masterpiece of a movie and you will always see a handful of haters who thought it sucks so bad and that movie was so awful. that is the case here with this movie , i thought it was a wonderful movie, i loved everything about it . the actors , the story , the background from the old century. the plot was great. yes i had a great time seeing this movie . i ignored the few bad IMDb reviews , they said to not go see this movie and waist your time. well keep that advice for yourself next time , and to everyone i would say go see this movie and judge for yourself. if you like the actors , and the subject , and like to see how people lived in that century , you will enjoy this movie a lot. but if you don't have an open mind for many things and hate a lot of things in life , maybe you should not even do anything to get entertained, and keep hating everything. Edward Norton is a great actor that plays in good movies , that should say enough... if you don't like a movie , maybe it says more about yourself...because i don't get it how a great movie can receive such bad reviews.

this is not a feel great movie with happy end. in stead you will leave the cinema after two hours feeling sad and depressed about how sorry you are for the characters.they had no chance in life. The script was shaky and rattled on all sides in terms of credibility.

it was told too easy. for example; they could not escape ? but to me it seemed like they were already free and could go where ever they wish. and that alarm wrist band ? just throw it in the sea ? also the hospital scenes where they cut body parts were lugubrious , i had to watch away.

however, technically the film was done actually pretty good, but that story was ridiculous and that ruined it for me. after all i wish i didn't spent time to see this movie . i want to forget this one.

no recommendation from me.
