Rachel Brosnahan is one of the most talented yet underrated actors in the film industry right now. After beginning her acting career with a small role in the Michael Bay-produced film The Unborn, she gained critical success with her role in Netflix’s original series House of Cards and gained mainstream success after her amazing leading role in Prime Video’s The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel. She is currently starring in James Hawes‘s vigilante spy thriller film The Amateur opposite Rami Malek, and just like me, everyone is awaiting her role of Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming superhero film Superman. The third season of The Wheel of Time is at an end, but we'll be picking through the fallout for quite a while yet. "He Who Comes With The Dawn" was a dark, epic finale to a great season of TV; as of this writing, it's currently got a 9.1/10 rating on IMDb, the second-highest out of any episode of the series. Season 3 as a whole is sitting at a 97% critic score and 83% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a huge step up from the previous two seasons. Nielsen also just released viewership data for the week that the season's show-stopping fourth episode dropped that put it in the top 10, another strong achievement. By all signs, The Wheel of Time season 3 crushed it.
We're still waiting for Amazon and Sony to officially renew the series, but the best way to stay occupied in the meantime is by looking back on season 3. Which episodes were the best?...

Olivia Williams is opening up about her cancer journey and that she’ll never be cancer-free because of a delayed diagnosis.
The actress, who has starred in The Crown, The Sixth Sense, Dune: Prophecy and The Ghost Writer, among dozens of other projects, got candid in a recent interview with The Times.
Williams recalled visiting 10 doctors over four years, trying to figure out what was causing her symptoms, including aching limbs, fatigue and chronic diarrhea. After she was initially misdiagnosed with lupus and perimenopause, a doctor finally found a rare cancerous tumor in her pancreas.
“If someone had fucking well diagnosed me in the four years I’d been saying I was ill, when they told me I was menopausal or had irritable bowel syndrome or [was] crazy — I used that word advisedly because one doctor referred me for a psychiatric assessment — then one operation possibly could have cleared the whole...

Olivia Williams has described a years-long delay in being diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer, during which she says her concerns were repeatedly dismissed by medical professionals. In an interview with The Times UK, the British actor discussed her experience with VIPoma, a neuroendocrine tumor that affects roughly one in a million people annually.
Williams said she experienced symptoms more than a decade ago and spent four years seeking answers. She saw ten doctors in three countries and was told at different times that she might have lupus, perimenopause, or psychological issues. One physician referred her for a psychiatric assessment.

Olivia Williams opened up about her harrowing journey with pancreatic cancer, revealing she experienced years of misdiagnoses and dismissals by doctors. The professionally trained British actress is now supporting the upcoming Tcs London Marathon‘s charity of the year, Pancreatic Cancer UK, calling for a cheap test that would lead to earlier detection of the disease.
Speaking to The Times U.K. in a new interview, The Crown star discussed her experience with VIPoma (vasoactive intestinal peptide-secreting tumor), a rare neuroendocrine tumor of the pancreas that is detected in 1 out of 1 million people yearly. Notoriously difficult to diagnose early, pancreatic cancer is among the deadliest of the common cancers.
Williams said she first experienced symptoms a decade ago, eventually embarking on a four-year journey where she visited 10 doctors in three countries to get to the root of her illness. She recalled being misdiagnosed with lupus, perimenopause and other forms of cancer.

The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy show currently airing its third season on Amazon Prime Video. It starts simple: a farm boy named Rand al'Thor learns he is the Dragon Reborn, a messianic figure destined to to either save the world of destroy it. He and his friends go adventures and learn about themselves, and the world of the show expands. We're introduced to more factions, more cultures and more characters until we're up to our eyeballs in lore. The show is based on The Wheel of Time book series by Robert Jordan, which is famously enormous. The show is only three seasons in, but it has a ways to go if it wants to tell the whole story.
And hopefully it will get a chance to do that, but we can't help but notice that the third season is almost over and neither Amazon nor Sony, who coproduce the show together,...

The third season of Prime Video's fantasy series has hit its stride, adapting some of the most memorable moments from Robert Jordan's book The Shadow Rising and giving all our favorite heroes and villains time to settle into their roles. It also introduces a number of new characters who will have a large impact on the story going forward.
For instance, we met the family of Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney): Queen Morgase (Olivia Williams), Prince Galad Damodred (Callum Kerr), Prince Gawyn Trakand (Luke Fetherston), and Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes), Morgase's consort who harbors a dark secret. The Wheel of Time is barreling toward the end of its third season, but we're still reeling from the past few weeks of Prime Video's epic fantasy series. Based on the beloved book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, The Wheel of Time is one of the most iconic fantasy sagas of all time. It spans 14 books (and a prequel), with thousands of named characters and bits of lore to keep track of. Season 3 of the TV show introduces a slew of new elements, as well as some faces that fans have been dying to see on screen.
Those introductions began right near the top of the season, when Queen Morgase Trakand (Olivia Williams), the mother of Elayne (Ceara Coveney), came to the White Tower to demand answers for her daughter's abduction last season. Morgase brought the rest of her immediate family with her: her consort Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes) and her two sons,...

This article contains Spoilers for The Wheel of Time season 3 Episode 6, "The Shadow in the Night."
The Wheel of Time is deep into its third season, and despite our heroes' best efforts to take a breather this week, the villains had other ideas. Nowhere was that clearer than in Tanchico, where Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins), Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney), Mat Cauthon (Dónal Finn) and Min Farshaw (Kae Alexander) are on the hunt for the Black Ajah. Despite having some success in their search, like digging up a dangerous artifact known as the Domination Band and ferreting out the location of the Black Ajah's hideout, they soon fell afoul of an even more dangerous villain: Moghedien, the sadistic Forsaken sorceress played by Laia Costa.
Moghedien was first introduced at the end of the show's second season, and the anticipation has been high to see her in action. The book on which this season is largely based,...

Tarmon Gai'don is fast approaching and all who hope to stand against the Shadow must be prepared and ready for the fight to come. The Wheel of Time continues to spin, with the Pattern weaving threads as it sees fit. The same can be said for showrunner Rafe Judkins, who has made some alterations to the source material provided by Robert Jordan's writings. Some of these changes have drawn criticism from sections of the fanbase well versed in the original writings. In earlier episodes of Season 3, the show persisted with the changes, one of the biggest being the kiss shared by Aviendha and Elayne.
While Aviendha and Elayne were close in the books, a romance between the pair was never explicitly described. Judkins' The Wheel of Time does and Ayoola Smart, who plays Aviendha on the show, commented on the change in an interview with Screen Rant. “I feel...

The Pattern weaves and The Wheel of Time continues to spin to deliver the third season of the show, with new episodes dropping Thursdays. Among other new faces this season, Prime Video's adaptation of Robert Jordan's iconic book series introduced the Royal Family of Andor, including Olivia Williams as Queen Morgase and Galad (Callum Kerr) and Gawyn (Luke Fetherston). Now, Fetherston has reflected on being cast as the divisive book character of Gawyn.
Readers of Jordan's original works are well-versed in the complex nature of Gawyn's character arc. While the character can be credited for some good deeds along the way, he is most despised for the role he ultimately played in how Egwene al'Vere's (Madeleine Madden) life pans out. Speaking to ScreenRant, Fetherston revealed that he didn't know which Trakand he would be playing when he first auditioned.

The Wheel of Time is in the thick of its third season, and things are heating up for Prime Video's fantasy series. Last week the show aired "The Road to the Spear," its tour de force mid-season episode where Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) and Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike) journeyed into the mist-covered Aiel city of Rhuidean. There, they each went on separate vision questions: Moiraine saw thousands of horrific possible futures while Rand relived key events in Aiel history through the eyes of his ancestors.
The result was one of the most powerful episodes of The Wheel of Time to date. But the season is just getting warmed up. Since we spent the entirety of "The Road to the Spear" with Rand and Moiraine's party in the Aiel Waste, there will be a lot of other storylines to catch up with when the next episode, "Tel'aran'rhiod," comes out, including...

The third season of The Wheel of Time is off to a fantastic start on Prime Video. The streaming service released three episodes last week, and they didn’t disappoint.
Although the show is scrambling the events from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series a bit, these episodes did a good job of making that change relatively seamless without losing any momentum built up during the action-packed finale to season 2.
Without focusing too much on the differences between the books and the show, audiences can appreciate the visual smorgasbord the show delivers with aplomb. So far, The Wheel of Time is a prime example of how a quality fantasy story can be told on the small screen.

This week, Prime Video premiered the third season of The Wheel of Time, its sweeping epic fantasy series based on the books by Robert Jordan. Out of the gate, it's become obvious that this is a much darker, more complex chapter for Amazon's fantasy show. There are new villains, the heroes are facing more difficult challenges, and factions are rising and falling.
There's a lot of that going on in the White Tower, the stronghold of the Aes Sedai sorceresses in the city of Tar Valon. Two out of the first three episodes of the season had the tower taking some serious hits. In the premiere, Liandrin Guirale (Kate Fleetwood) and her fellow Black Ajah defectors turned the inner sanctum of the tower into a battleground as they fought their way out of the city. Then in Episode 302, Queen Morgase Trakand (Olivia Williams) arrived to demand answers for the abduction...

What started as a fantasy series that kept it light on the magic side compared to some ill-fated Netflix shows, yet more so than a few other HBO and Max series, has kept the flow of mystical elements consistently strong.
When you tune in for The Wheel of Time, you know you are going to get at least three things: fun uses of magic, expansive scenery of wherever the characters are walking, and magic-wielding women with more than a few screws loose.

While the clip has been circulating long before The Wheel of Time Season 3 Premiere, the first part of “To Race the Shadow” was nothing short of a George R. R. Martin good time.

The first three episodes of The Wheel of Time are out now on Prime Video, bringing viewers back into the vivid fantasy world of Robert Jordan's beloved book series. We've been poring over them this morning, because these are three very full episodes. The first, "To Race the Shadow," saw all hell break lose in Tar Valon as the sisters of the Black Ajah made good their escape, before Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) and the rest of our heroes went their separate ways. The second, "A Question of Crimson," delved into the complicated politics of the White Tower as Queen Morgase (Olivia Williams) and her advisor Elaida (Shohreh Aghdashloo) arrived on the scene to demand answers of the Amyrlin Seat, Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo).
Now we've arrived at the final episode of the premiere block: "Seeds of Shadow." And just as the name implies, this episode gives the show's...

The Wheel of Time simply keeps getting better and better! The first season was entertaining, but you could see how Prime Video was finding its footing in the classic fantasy genre—almost using the Robert Jordan series as a test balloon with The Lord of the Rings television adaptation coming down the pike (pun intended).
Star Rosamund Pike led the way, keeping viewers’ interest through a bumpy but very entertaining freshman season. Then, the second season focused on the supporting cast, creating greater adventures, enthralling action, and a wholly immersive experience unlike any fantasy television series we have ever seen.
Now, the third season is a game-changer—full of clever twists, turns and shadowy tricks that keep viewers on the edge of their seats! With an exciting and suspenseful season premiere and an ominously powerful finale, The Wheel of Time proves it keeps getting better with each passing season.

Plot: After defeating Ishamael, one of the most powerful of the Forsaken, at the end of Season Two, Rand reunites with his friends in the city of Falme and is declared the Dragon Reborn. But in Season Three, the threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah run free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both. As the ties to his past begin to unravel, and his corrupted power grows stronger, Rand becomes increasingly unrecognizable to his closest allies, Moiraine and Egwene. These powerful women, who started the series as teacher and student, must now work together to prevent the Dragon from turning to the Dark…no matter the cost.

The wait is almost over! On Thursday, March 13, Prime Video will premiere season 3 of The Wheel of Time. The streaming service is promoting it more than it has in the past, and this could be a make-or-break season for the fantasy show.
The Wheel of Time is one of two epic fantasy shows on Prime Video, with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power being the other. The Rings of Power has a bigger budget and has more promotion, but The Wheel of Time is the better series.
The Wheel of Time is based on the massive 14-volume book series by Robert Jordan (and finished by Brandon Sanderson). The first tome, The Eye of the World, was published in 1990 and the final book, A Memory of Light, in 2013.
The first two seasons of The Wheel of Time TV show covered books one and two, with some storylines from later books bleeding in.

Rosamund Pike has confirmed that The Wheel of Time Season 3 will make some changes to the book’s storyline, specifically delaying Rand al’Thor’s journey to the Stone of Tear. The new season, set to premiere on March 13, 2025, will follow Rand (Josha Stradowski) as he travels to the Aiel Waste before retrieving Callandor.
Pike explained that this adjustment was made to better translate Rand’s internal struggles to the screen. Instead of heading straight to the Stone of Tear, the show will send Rand into the Aiel Waste first, allowing him to discover his heritage and identity before obtaining the powerful sa’angreal. While the Stone of Tear remains an important part of the story, its placement has been shifted to better fit the TV adaptation.
“We haven’t neglected the Stone of Tear, we’ve just rearranged the order. There’ll be debate about it, but instead of Rand,...

The Wheel of Time season 3 is nearly upon, and if the thrilling first minutes we've already seen are any indication, it promises to be the fantasy television event of the year. Based on the hit book series by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time tells the story of a fight between good and evil on a grand scale, and the many heroes and villains caught up in the mix. Like the books, the show has a sprawling cast where each character gets their own moments to take the spotlight and pushes the narrative forward in unexpected ways.
Two characters we'll be seeing a lot in season 3 are Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney), the warder for Rosamund Pike's Aes Sedai sorceress Moiraine; and Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo), the leader of the Aes Sedai and Moiraine's secret lover. Siuan and Lan each have immense impacts on the overall Wheel of Time narrative,...

Next month, the fantasy television series The Wheel of Time will return for its third season on Prime Video. The Wheel of Time made a name for itself as one of the biggest shows in the genre, thanks in no small part to the fact that it is adapting one of the most famous fantasy sagas of all time. But with its upcoming third season, the show will reach for even more ambitious heights. Season 3 is based on the novel The Shadow Rising, a beloved entry in Robert Jordan's book series which sees Rand al'Thor head out to the desert homeland of the Aiel people in hopes of winning their allegiance. It's a major turning point for the series, and it could be a major turning point for the TV show.
At the heart of it all is Rand, the reincarnated hero known as the Dragon Reborn, who is played by Josha Stradowski.

Season three will take viewers to many new regions and cities across the fictional continent of the Westlands, including the vast deserts of the Aiel Waste, the intoxicating...

The ten-episode series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (read our review Here) was such a huge success for the Netflix streaming service back in 2022 that Netflix ordered two more seasons of the show from its creators, Ian Brennan and American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story was recently released, and has had quite an impact on the real lives of the title characters… and right before that season premiered in September, it was announced that Sons of Anarchy‘s Charlie Hunnam had signed on to play murderer and graverobber Ed Gein in Monster season 3. As it turns out, Monster season 3 (which is apparently called The Original Monster) is expected to reach Netflix by the end of 2025 – and industry scooper The InSneider reports that singer / TikTok celebrity Addison Rae (Thanksgiving) and Suzanna Son are the latest additions to the cast. Information on the...

Last year, HBO tried its hand at making a Dune TV show: set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides was born, Dune: Prophecy told the story of Valya and Tula Harkonnen (Emily Watson and Olivia Williams), sisters who are in charge of the Bene Gesserit order during this early period in its history. The first season only lasted six episodes, but they were lushly produced, splendidly acted, and ended leaving fans wanting more. HBO will give it to them with a second season.
When it comes to these big sci-fi and fantasy projects, fans have gotten used to having to wait years between new seasons. Unfortunately, that looks like it will also happen with Dune: Prophecy. Although we don't know all the details, Emily Watson told ScreenRant that she expects filming on the second season to start up later this year. "I think we are going to start in the fall, and...

‘Dune: Propehcy’ is the latest expansion of the Dune cinematic universe. The show debuted as an HBO Original on November 17, 2024, after originally being planned for Max. It received a 70% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with praise for the performances of Emily Watson and Olivia Williams but criticism for lacking the excitement of Denis Villeneuve’s films.
The show’s premiere attracted 1.2 million viewers, growing to 2.1 million the next day. By December 19, 2024, the premiere episode had drawn 15 million viewers across Max’s coverage areas.
Due to its overall successful launch, the show was quickly renewed for a second season, and now the star of the show, Emily Watson has provided us with an update regarding the start of the filming.
Watson said that filming for the second season will likely begin in the fall, but she doesn’t know anything about Valya’s story and is just as excited as the fans.

When renewing Monster for a third season last October, Netflix’s official release did not include any mention of when the next season would arrive which made many fans think there could again be a two-year gap between seasons; however, it seems that will not be the case.
In a letter to its shareholders released on Jan. 21, Netflix included many forward-looking statements including a look at the year ahead in which they promised to deliver an amazing slate for members. The letter not only touted many previously confirmed titles coming this year including new seasons of Wednesday, Stranger Things, Squid Game, and You, but also confirmed the next installment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster is also among the shows set to be released in 2025.
That’s right, Monster season 3 is slated to be released in 2025!
So why is this so surprising? Well, the first two seasons of Netflix’s Emmy-winning...
