Frankly speaking, I didn’t have a lot of expectations from Real Men, but the Netflix series really took me by surprise. It was an entertaining watch, and from the characters to the storyline, I loved absolutely everything about it. The series reiterates the fact that men today need to tone down their aggressiveness, be a little more expressive, a tad bit more vulnerable, and understand what masculinity really means. I am glad that, today, a majority of men are willing to change, adapt, and understand the perspective of their partners. They are willing to embark on journeys together where they have a partnership, a sense of companionship, rather than just forcing their own lifestyle on their partner. That said, let’s find out what happened in the series, and explore the conflicts the 4 couples encounter on their journey.

Netflix is a bit light on the quantity of new releases this week, but certainly not on the quality. A gripping sports documentary, several great comedy series, and one of the top family movies of the decade all arrive this week.

Listen fam, Netflix isn't going to have an amazing lineup of new releases every week. It just isn't possible, we all know that. There are a lot of competing streaming services out there - even if some of them can't keep the same name for a year at a time.

What's next for Max after HBO Max? HBO? Home? Perhaps Bo would be apt. It does describe the stench of the corporate offices that dumped Looney Tunes as too costly, but will now have Batman shilling for dishwashing liquid, or dog food, or whatever makes them a buck.

The first winner at the upcoming Asian Films Awards has been named. Japan’s Kōki has won the Afa Rising Star Award, joining previous winners such as 2017’s Park Seo-joon and 2019’s Win Metawin.. Originally conceived as a sci-fi thriller with philosophical undertones, Species emerged as one of 1995’s weirdest monster movies.

The early 90s digital effects revolution birthed many monsters. Sam Neill and Laura Dern were menaced by velociraptors in the ground-breaking Jurassic Park in 1993. Tom Sizemore and Penelope Ann Miller were chased around a museum by a rhino-like behemoth in The Relic (1996). Glenn Farr, whose work on The Right Stuff won the 1984 Academy Award for editing, died May 25 at Cedars Sinai from complications from a brain tumor, according to several friends’ Facebook posts. He was 77.

Farr brought his touch to Philip Kaufman’s The Right Stuff. He shared the win with fellow editors Lisa Fruchtman, Tom Rolf, Stephen A. Rotter and Douglas Stewart.

“This is truly a beautiful, wonderful moment for each one of us,” Farr said in his Oscar acceptance speech. “We are privileged to be a part of it and the experience will long live in our hearts. We must thank our marvelous, beautiful director — we love you Phil Kaufman — for his leadership and dedication and the vision he gave to us.” Farr also offered a thank you to all assistant and contributing editors that worked on the film.

As the Hollywood blockbuster machine continues to dust itself off and release some early winter hits, Hulu is going in a bit of a different direction with its list of new releases for November 2021.

There are no big Hulu original films of note this month. Instead there’s a whole host of original series. The TV parade starts on Nov. 5 with the release of Animaniacs season 2. Also getting a second season this month is monarchal comedy The Great on Nov. 19. The most intriguing series, however, is animated Marvel comedy Marvel’s Hit Monkey. As its name so graciously implies, this is a show about a hit monkey…as in monkey assassin. Naturally the hit monkey is haunted by the ghost of Jason Sudeikis because it’s important that everything make sense.

Though Hulu doesn’t have any original movies in November, its list of library movie titles is quite vast.

Fugitive, the content development, financing and executive producing company run by Anthony Kimble and Merrily Ross, has partnered with Alex Holder’s Rogo Productions, with the former taking international distribution rights to feature doc Keep Quiet, about a far-right Hungarian radical who discovers he is Jewish, series Conflict Of Interest, about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and Empty Planet, a fast-turnaround Covid-19 series being shot entirely using drones during the pandemic. Fugitive will also become a development and distribution partner on Abby, a multi-part drama series about Abby Stein, a young transgender person from New York who used to be an ultra-Orthodox Rabbi.

A Garland, Maine, man was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for the triple murders of his girlfriend and her two children in 2014, People confirms.

Keith Coleman, 29, was found guilty last November of killing his 36-year-old girlfriend, Christina Sargent, her 10-year-old son, Duwayne Coke, and her 8-year-old daughter, Destiny Sargent, according to court records.

Coleman was also convicted of sexually assaulting the 8-year-old girl, the records state. He received an additional 20 years for the sexual assault.

When the final trailer for “Mad Max: Fury Road” dropped back in April, I questioned if George Miller was secretly giving audiences a feminist action movie. The New York Musical Theatre Festival Nymf announced today its additional selections for Nymf 2015. Acappella, Claudio Quest, HeadVoice, Held Momentarily, Moses Man, Napoleon, Real Men, a musical for guys and the women who put up with them Songs for the Fallen, Tonya amp Nancy The Rock Opera and Wearing Black join the previously announced new musicals that will be presented at the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival from July 7, 2015 to July 27, 2015.

Chris Brown is going up against the women of The Real on Instagram, and co-host Adrienne Bailon's ex Rob Kardashian seems to be in the singer's corner.

This all started when the talk-show hosts got on the topic of "staying out of other people's relationships." Bailon called out Brown and his on-again off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran, claiming the 25-year-old R&B star's has been unfaithful to the model/stylist but her friends won't say anything because they were benefiting from the relationship.

Chris Brown lashed out at The Real co-hosts Tamar Braxton and Adrienne Bailon on Monday after the women discussed Brown’s tumultuous relationship with Karrueche Tran on their daytime talk show.

Brown, known for his explosive temper, let loose on Instagram Monday following a 5-minute segment on The Real in which Braxton mentioned that Tran and Brown might need friends to intervene in their relationship.

“We have got to pull an Inter-friend-tion with my girl, Karrueche, because, you know, I don’t know about this back-and-forth she’s got going on with my man Chris Brown,” Braxton kicked off the segment.

The conversation then moved on to whether or not any of The Real hosts had been in bad relationships and ignored the warnings from their friends. Bailon then questioned whether or not Tran had friends telling her to dump Brown, saying,...
