My Movies & TV Shows, Part VIII: 1970-1979

Bobby Ewing and Pamela Barnes shock their respective families when they reveal they have married. This revelation renews an age-old feud between the two families, and J.R. Ewing, Bobby's older brother, schemes to break them up using ranch hand Ray Krebbs, who once dated Pamela.

After hearing Ray trying to pawn the job off on one of the ranch hands, Pam gets more than she bargained for when she arranges to see that Lucy gets to school. Meanwhile, J.R. deals with his younger brother, Bobby, by ducking him when he tries to find out how J.R. is so successful when it comes to dealing with other independent oil companies.

When Cliff gets his hands on a document proving dirty dealings between a state senator and Ewing Oil, he turns it over to the State of Texas for investigation. But, after finding out about a possible mole, JR turns on Pam, putting her marriage to Bobby in serious jeopardy.

A bad storm blows into the Dallas area, along with a couple of strangers from Waco who look to get even with JR and Ray, who seemingly took advantage of their own women the previous night. With the hands off for the day to attend a festival in San Antonio, the ranch looks even more deserted when the only ones packing guns and giving orders on Southfork are the strangers.

When Pam reveals that she is pregnant, the Ewings try in vain to mend fences with Digger Barnes at the family barbecue.

Jock and Miss Ellie's middle son, Gary, a recovering alcoholic, returns to Southfork after a long absence. Meanwhile, Lucy discovers her mother, Valene (Gary's ex-wife), working at a diner outside of town.

J.R. tries to drive Gary off of Southfork again.

Bobby's childhood sweetheart Jenna Wade is in trouble after being exposed as the mistress of important businessman Maynard Anderson. Bobby helps her to get a new place to live for her and her young daughter Charlie, who's biological father has never been revealed by Jenna. Pam becomes very agitated when Bobby spends all of his free time and more with Jenna. Meanwhile, Cliff Barnes prepares to run for senate.

Infuriated by Bobby getting stonewalled by his brother, JR, Jock confronts JR about it and suffers a heart attack during the process. While Bobby fills in at the ranch, JR takes it upon himself to make a deal under the table that involves Section 40 of Southfork and doing something he knows will only upset his father.

After over seven years of hoping to become a mother, Sue Ellen decides to attempt adoption behind JR's back. After finding a young woman named Rita who's willing to give up her baby, Sue Ellen unexpectedly bonds with her. Bobby is not too thrilled at the prospect of his wife, Pamela, turning down the idea of a baby while contemplating the idea of returning to the workforce.

Kermit and his newfound friends trek across America to find success in Hollywood, but a frog legs merchant is after Kermit.

Peter Sellers appears as a wild gypsy, a strange doctor, and forms a band against drinking in this very comical and rare performance by the master of disguise himself.

The Muppets find they have accommodate Bob Hope's hectic volunteer schedule.

Much to Steve Martin's initial displeasure, Kermit cancels the regular show and holds private auditions for new acts.

The gang tries their best to force John to perform with them, but he drags his feet at every opportunity.

Kermit must contend with a bunch of Sylvester Stallone groupies who've accessed the backstage.

When Dudley Moore brings his own robot to perform the show's music arrangements, the idled Electric Mayhem band won't stand for it.

Fozzie brings a string of deliveries to Kermit which results in some real lousy gags driving the poor frog crazy.

Kermit is skeptical when everyone backstage is terrorized by "the Phantom of the Muppet Show" aka Uncle Deadly, a monster-actor who performed in the theater years ago, got panned by the critics, and vowed never to perform there again, and not to let anyone else perform either warning the Muppets "Leave or be doomed!"

To Kermit's concern, and Gonzo's delight, a real live cow winds up backstage.

Elton John performs four of his biggest hit songs of the '70's like, "Crocodile Rock", "Bennie and the Jets", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", and, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", with Miss Piggy filling in for Kiki Dee.

When he's unable to get a spot on the show, Gonzo asks Scooter to be his manager. Scooter thinks Gonzo should do a rock act by banging a large rock with a mallet. Later, Gonzo tries female impersonation in a dress and a blonde wig. But Scooter gives up managing when Gonzo eats his contract.

Kermit tries to talk everyone into going camping in the swamp.

When not performing, Alice Cooper is doing some devilry backstage looking for souls to purchase.

Private eye Kermit must solve a series of murders in the Muppet Theatre.
