Home Video and Blockbuster Era Movies I've Watched (including my mini-reviews)
What I've watched since 2015, including my mini-reviews in the comments of every list item.
What will you find in this list? Movies, direct-to-video movies, TV movies and feature-length pilot episodes for un-commissioned TV series. This list has ended up being mostly genre B-movies with a few mainstream Hollywood movies. Almost every list item is the first time I've seen it.
What dates/eras does it span? From the proto-blockbusters of the late 60's, via the home video era to the last few 80's style movies made around the turn of the Millennium.
Although mostly in chronological order of watch date, I keep sequels grouped together. Even those sequels beyond the scope of this list because I'm thorough.

Quirky hidden gem. I enjoyed this free-wheeling misadventure.
I originally saw most of it on TV years ago and wanted to watch it properly. - DirectorJohn BoormanStarsJon VoightBurt ReynoldsNed BeattyIntent on seeing the Cahulawassee River before it's dammed and turned into a lake, outdoor fanatic Lewis Medlock takes his friends on a canoeing trip they'll never forget into the dangerous American back-country.10/10/15
More serious than it needed to be. Great cast including Burt Reynolds. Origin of those 'killer hillbilly' movies. - DirectorSam PeckinpahStarsKris KristoffersonAli MacGrawErnest BorgnineTruckers form a mile-long "convoy" in support of a trucker's vendetta with an abusive sheriff - Based on the country song of the same title by C.W. I caught a the first few mins. on TV late on night and wanted to watch it properly.
This is great fun! A 70's, freedom loving, American road movie. - DirectorStuart GordonStarsGary GrahamAnne-Marie JohnsonPaul KosloIn the distant future, mankind has forsaken global wars for battles of single combat. The world has been divided into two opposing super powers, with each side represented by trained champions.24/10/15
Cheesy 80's sci-fi action with fighting robots in this Italian B-movie. - DirectorAlbert BandStarsDon Michael PaulBarbara CramptonJames StaleyA renegade Megarobot pilot and an archaeologist must team up to thwart the Centro's attempts to resurrect a hidden Megarobot, with which they can challenge the prevailing order.17/11/17
A sci-fi B-movie sequel to 'Robot Jox' (1989), again by Charles Band's production company. It took me a long time to discover that this sequel existed. This one was produced by Charles Band and directed by his father, Albert. The robot effects are stop-motion models and minitures. They look dated, but I like how they look, and the whole movie looks fairly good for an early 90's B-movie. But there's only one big robot fight in the movie. And not enough action to compensate for the disjointed, incoherent plotlines. Overall, has some entertainment value, but not as much as the first one. - DirectorWes CravenStarsSusan LanierRobert HoustonJohn SteadmanOn the way to California, a family has the misfortune to have their car break down in an area closed to the public, and inhabited by violent savages ready to attack.30/10/15
Low-ish budet 70's horror classic. She starts killing for him to revitalize his body and escape the demonic beings that are pursuing him after he escaped their underworld.01/11/15
Unique and memorable. One of the best horror films ever. Dated make-up and special effects have taken away the shock value, but you won't care because the story is so original. - DirectorTony RandelStarsDoug BradleyAshley LaurenceClare HigginsKirsty is brought to an institution after the horrible events of Hellraiser (1987), where the occult-obsessive head doctor resurrects Julia and unleashes the Cenobites and their demonic underworld.06/11/15

Deeply flawed and not made by the same people. It fills in gaps in the history. Make this the last one you watch. - DirectorScott DerricksonStarsCraig ShefferNicholas TurturroJames RemarA shady police detective becomes embroiled in a strange world of murder, sadism and madness after being assigned a murder investigation against a madman known only as "The Engineer".13/11/15

Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world.22/11/20
Direct-to-video Hellraiser sequel by Gary J. Tunnicliffe and with another new actor in the Pinhead role. I expected to dislike this but was surprised how enjoyable it turned out to be. The first quarter was excessively gross and gory though. After that it becomes a better detective story with a premise similar to Se7en (1995) and with a good plot-twist at the end. Overall better than I expected. - DirectorSam FirstenbergStarsMichael DudikoffSteve JamesJudie AronsonAmerican soldier, obviously very skilled in martial arts, single-handedly takes on mercenaries in the Philippines.Unlike the rest of the list, this one is out of order! I watched it after The Hills Have Eyes Part II and before Hellraiser. I wasn't as organised early on!

A guilty pleasure movie! So bad it's good. Lots of cheesy 80's action. A must watch for cheesy 80's B movie fans.
Watched it before, would would it again.
