    DirectorJames MangoldStarsHugh JackmanPatrick StewartDafne Keen
    Hugh Jackman best acotor nom:

Yes, its a superhero movie, but that doesn't matter. I think this film should have got nominated for a bunch of oscars. But, one can aruge against it getting a best pciture nom. However, no one can aruge best actor. Hugh Jackman deserved a nom for best actor he was amazing in this film. He also did greatest showman this year. His performnce was sad and great. Denzal was nomminated for Roman which was a ok film that no one saw. Hugh Jackman should have got it easily.
  • Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler (2014)

    2. Nightcrawler

    20141h 57mR76Metascore
    7.8 (637K)
A petty thief desperate for work muscles into the world of crime journalism and becomes the star of his own story as he blurs the line between observer and participant.
    DirectorDan GilroyStarsJake GyllenhaalRene RussoBill Paxton
Best actor nom: It is crazy that Jake only has one nomination. He transformed for this film he was memromzing and did not even secure a nom. I think he was good enough to win this year. Eddie won I dont think he should have even been nommianted. Jake was better than any actor who got nommiated that year for their roles.
  • Forest Whitaker, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner in Arrival (2016)

    3. Arrival

    20161h 56mPG-1381Metascore
    7.9 (817K)
Linguist Louise Banks leads a team of investigators when gigantic spaceships touch down around the world. As nations teeter on the verge of global war, Banks and her crew must find a way to communicate with the extraterrestrial visitors.
    DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsAmy AdamsJeremy RennerForest Whitaker
Best actress: Amy Adams at one point was the favorite to win the Oscar this year and she did not even get nommiated. She also did nocturnal animals this year which she was great in. She gave a great subtle performnce in this film and was much better than Streep who at this point gets a nom every year.
