A beautiful story of being replaced, lost and found which may well rank as animations greatest ever milestone.

A tear-inducing trip that may just help you reframe your emotions. 'Inside Out' is a transformative experience that will uplift your soul and remind you of the emotional oomph truly creative, original animation provides.

But when he travels to another realm to help someone find their passion, he soon discovers what it means to have soul.8.6
'Soul' is a mesmerising lesson in living. It is an animated feature that will challenge your core beliefs on how to live your best life (I'm still thinking about it days later), suggesting that perhaps we should realise that it is the little moments that make life wonderful.

Top 250 #111
A sequel which didn't need to be made - but I'm glad that it did. It's a load of fun - probably the funniest and definitely the oddest entry in the series. You'll adore the new characters - particularly Duke Kaboom who I wish joined the story years ago. Somehow, this 'quequel', closes off one generation of toys by setting up another - and it doesn't feel cheap! Actually, the converse, it isn't a simple cash grab, its a beautiful, feel good summer blockbuster that ducks the slow sequels of late. - DirectorsJohn LasseterJoe RanftStarsOwen WilsonBonnie HuntPaul NewmanOn the way to the biggest race of his life, a hotshot rookie race car gets stranded in a rundown town and learns that winning isn't everything in life.8.4

A great journey that will make you happy, sad and in every emotion in between. It embodies powerful lessons about life and death; family and ambition - all with Pixar's trademark down-to-earth style. - DirectorKelsey MannStarsAmy PoehlerMaya HawkeKensington TallmanA sequel that features Riley entering puberty and experiencing brand new, more complex emotions as a result. As Riley tries to adapt to her teenage years, her old emotions try to adapt to the possibility of being replaced.8.0
Hits you in the feels. With an admirable core message to teenagers, and even adults, on how to deal with anxiety, this is a sequel that plays to all of your emotions. - DirectorDan ScanlonStarsTom HollandChris PrattJulia Louis-DreyfusTeenage elf brothers Ian and Barley embark on a magical quest to spend one more day with their late father. Like any good adventure, their journey is filled with cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries.8.0
An uplifting tale about the power of positivity and perspective. Despite being a Pixar original I didn't think much of it from the trailers - the film I saw should not be understated. - DirectorsJohn LasseterAsh BrannonLee UnkrichStarsTom HanksTim AllenJoan CusackWhen Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz and his friends set out on a rescue mission to save Woody before he becomes a museum toy property with his roundup gang Jessie, Prospector, and Bullseye.8.0
A rescue adventure that teaches the rewards of bravery! Introducing some fabulous new characters to the mix, Buzz still manages to steal the movie with a hilarious clash with well...himself. You'll be happily smiling like an idiot at the brilliance of the plot - playing into another of toys fears. - DirectorBrad BirdStarsCraig T. NelsonSamuel L. JacksonHolly HunterWhile trying to lead a quiet suburban life, a family of undercover superheroes are forced into action to save the world.7.9
- DirectorsJohn LasseterAndrew StantonStarsKevin SpaceyDave FoleyJulia Louis-DreyfusA misfit ant, looking for "warriors" to save his colony from greedy grasshoppers, recruits a group of bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe.7.8
Delving into the smallest of worlds at their level - it may not be Pixar's best, yet it's an exciting light-hearted adventure the world needs more of. - DirectorEnrico CasarosaStarsJacob TremblayJack Dylan GrazerEmma BermanOn the Italian Riviera, an unlikely but strong friendship grows between a human being and a sea monster disguised as a human.7.8
A heart-warming tale that will teach you to accept people for who they are. 'Luca' may well be Pixar's first gay film, though it could also be viewed as a story of the kind of friendship that pushes you beyond the limits you set on yourself.
Some of the plot follows a somewhat unsurprising, even uninspired, route, but its central lesson is gorgeously handled to ensure it stands tall alongside Pixar's other pillars of positivity.
Years from now, this film may stand elevated for its cultural influences too, with several quotable moments and characters, not to mention the magnificent world it creates. For now, it does enough that you'll come out of the experience feeling lighter. - DirectorBrian FeeStarsOwen WilsonCristela AlonzoChris CooperLightning McQueen sets out to prove to a new generation of racers that he's still the best race car in the world.7.7
- DirectorsAndrew StantonAngus MacLaneStarsEllen DeGeneresAlbert BrooksEd O'NeillFriendly but forgetful blue tang Dory begins a search for her long-lost parents and everyone learns a few things about the real meaning of family along the way.7.7
Almost as good as the first, just lacked a little something to beat it. - DirectorPeter SohnStarsLeah LewisMamoudou AthieRonnie Del CarmenFollows Ember and Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, earth- and air-residents live together.7.4
A beautiful world is held back by a remarkably unoriginal Pixar story. - DirectorBrad BirdStarsCraig T. NelsonHolly HunterSarah VowellThe Incredibles family takes on a new mission which involves a change in family roles: Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) must manage the house while his wife Helen (Elastigirl) goes out to save the world.7.4
An all-round enjoyable sequel. Though not as good as their debut - it was good to catch up with the Incredible family after all these years. - DirectorAngus MacLaneStarsChris EvansKeke PalmerPeter SohnWhile spending years attempting to return home, marooned Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots commanded by Zurg who are attempting to steal the fuel source of his ship.7.3
Fine...but could have been infinitely better. 'Lightyear' isn't a bad film, but you can't help but feel disappointed with it's lack of ambition given its enticing premise. At least Sox was awesome! - DirectorPeter SohnStarsJeffrey WrightFrances McDormandMaleah Nipay-PadillaIn a world where dinosaurs and humans live side-by-side, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend.7.3
Far from the best Pixar production and not as good as we've come to expect, but the moralistic story was there and it toyed with us anyway. - DirectorDan ScanlonStarsBilly CrystalJohn GoodmanSteve BuscemiA look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski and James P.
