- A blue hedgehog with supersonic speed must rescue animals from being turned into robots by a mad scientist.
- Dr. Ivo Robotnik is working to take over South Island from his Sky Base and gather the 6 Chaos Emeralds, having kidnapped all of the island's animal habitants to turn them into robots called Badniks to do his dirty work. Hearing of Robotnik's plot, Sonic the Hedgehog heads to South Island to save his animal friends.
- A falling block puzzle game that was available for download in Japan in 1991 and in Brazil in 1995 on Sega Meganet, a Japan/Brazil exclusive Mega Drive add-on that let people download select games through dial-up. Sonic must arrange randomly selected falling clusters of shapes of the same variety to align on a grid in order to erase them.
- Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car is a children ride released in December 1991 exclusively in Japan. The arcade ride is part of Sega's "Wakuwaku" line[1] and features Sonic the Hedgehog playing the role of a police officer, patrolling the streets of a city and keeping it safe from Dr. Eggman. Both Japanese and English versions of the ride exists, though the English version was not exported to other countries and was likely used in areas with a large number of visiting English speaking tourists.

He managed to recover the yellow emerald, but failed to track down the other five. As he predicted, Sonic and his buddy Tails are now out to retrieve them, so he once again tricks Knuckles into working for him. Meanwhile, a treasure hunter named Nack the Weasel had eavesdropped on the conversation between Sonic and Knuckles. Unknown to them, Nack had already discovered the Chaos Emeralds in his home dimension. Now Sonic and Tails must fend off Robotnik and Knuckles while retrieving the emeralds back from Nack.
