    254. Atticus Shaffer

    • Actor
    • Sound Department
    • Additional Crew
    Frankenweenie (2012)
Atticus Ronald Shaffer resides in, and is a native of, California. Being home-schooled as a child, Atticus was exposed to a myriad of mediums and genres of art by his mother, ranging from extensive museum exhibits to discovering the joy of reading storybooks out loud in character voices. When he was 7, after completing a year long run of fund-raising work for Shriner's Hospital in Los Angeles, information for a talent manager was found, who he went to meet about potentially signing on for voice over work. His mother thought he had a cute voice, and thought he could potentially be a book on tape reader, or cartoon character.

After meeting with the manager, who wanted to sign Atticus on for both theatrical and voice over work, his career snowballed, as he quickly landed multiple theatrical TV, commercial, and movie roles in succession. Not the least of which was his role in the original pilot for ABC's The Middle, which he would be invited back to reprise two years later.

Despite the long hours dedicated to working on the hit sitcom, Atticus also managed to create a voice over and animation resume that's a mile long, with roles on Disney's The Lion Guard and Frankenweenie, Netflix's Harvey Street Kids, and Amazon Prime's Pete the Cat, among many others.

As Atticus became an adult, he has fed his hunger for learning by studying all of the departments that go in to TV and movie production. He has made several award winning short films, and was invited to be a student in the Warner Bros. Director's Workshop; an intensive film school like vetting process that equips professionals with the real world know-how of sitting in the director's chair, and simultaneously vetting them to be qualified to direct Warner Bros. television projects. He graduated the program with honors.

While he still has a desire to continue acting, both theatrically and in voice over/animation, he has a great passion now for directing, writing, and producing. It is his hope to now create a new section of his resume riddled with numerous projects bearing his name on the director card.

Atticus is an unapologetic nerd, and enjoys his time when he is not working writing, reading, watching good TV shows/movies, listening to his favorite music, gaming, studying topics of interest, and learning to speak Polish, his ancestral language. He has also developed a couple of side careers; one centered on gaming on the live stream platform Twitch, the other of content creation for his channel on YouTube, AtticusShafferVlog.

    August Rush (2007)
With a bold voice and signature delivery that belies her thirteen years, Jamia Simone Nash, known simply as "Jamia", is definitely a superstar on the rise. Since the ripe 'old' age of two, Jamia has been singing with incredible conviction and building a notable career as a successful multi-hyphenate -- singer, stage performer and actor -- rivaling pros with many more years of experience under their belts.

Jamia owned the stage on February 24, 2008, at the 80th Annual Academy Awards® ceremony when she performed the Oscar-nominated original song "Raise It Up" from the Warner Brothers' feature "August Rush," a movie for which she received critical acclaim in her feature film debut as "Hope." In the role, Jamia befriends star Freddie Highmore's character, a musically gifted, adopted boy searching for his real parents. Her inspiring lead performance of "Raise It Up" with the Impact Repertory Theater of Harlem not only won Jamia rave reviews, but also secured her place in the history books as the youngest African-American to perform on the prestigious worldwide telecast to date.

The song didn't score a statue but Jamia's appearance was a big win, widely regarded by critics as one of the evening's highlights. In the wake of her Oscar-night triumph, the Southern Christian Leadership Committee (S.C.L.C.) with its W.O.M.E.N. Drum Major for Justice Youth Award recently recognized Jamia. Before Jamia's worldwide television debut introduced her to viewers around the globe, she wowed national audiences with multiple appearances on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Good Morning America," and "The CBS Early Show," among others. Onstage, she's performed live for such luminaries as Aretha Franklin, John Travolta, Oprah Winfrey, the King of Jordan and the President of the United States, who dubbed Jamia 'the definition of the future;' sang the National Anthem during 2003 NBA All-Star Game festivities; and shared the stage with such superstars as Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Josh Groban and John Mayer, to name a few. At age five, Jamia's big break came when her rendition of the Michael Jackson classic "Who's Loving You?" on "Showtime at the Apollo" brought the legendarily tough crowd - known for booing performers off the stage - to its feet with admiration and rousing applause.

In addition to making a name as a sought-after performer, Jamia has been generating buzz in Hollywood for her budding acting career. Her breakout performance in 2006 as a 10-year-old Fantasia Barrino (2004 American Idol winner) in the hit Lifetime television movie "Life Is Not A Fairytale" drew the attention of television critics, including the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Melanie McFarland. Other notable appearances include the UPN series "Half and Half," two appearances on ABC's "My Wife and Kids," the WB's "7th Heaven" and "Steve Harvey's Big Time." Behind the scenes, the Osborne Middle School student has also lent her signature vocals to the character "Uniqua" on the popular Nickelodeon animated series The Backyardigan's. On June 21, 2008 Jamia appeared at Atlanta's Phillips Arena in a star studded, two-hour musical event called "Songs of Soul and Inspiration" directed by Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony award-winning producer and choreographer Debbie Allen as part of AARP's 50th anniversary celebration. Noah's acting experience includes a guest starring role on CSI: Miami (2002), and three wonderful years on My Wife and Kids (2000) with Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell, where he played the ultra-precocious Franklin Aloysius Mumford - a role for which he earned three consecutive Young Artist Award nominations (one of the nominations - in the year 2006 - he won the Award). Recently, Noah has completed filming on the feature film Lady in the Water (2006), written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan which is due in theaters in the summer of 2006.

Noah, whose hobbies include animals, airplanes, inventing and fencing, lives in Los Angeles with his parents, two brothers, a sister, two dogs and one cat.
  • Ashlie Brillault at an event for The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)

    269. Ashlie Brillault

    • Actress
    The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)
Ashlie was born in San Francisco and raised in Long Beach, and inherited the laid-back and down-to-earth Southern California attitude. At an extremely young age, her mother noticed the passion and excitement Ashlie had for performing and got her feet wet by introducing her to the world of modeling. She landed her first modeling job at the age of three and continued to model in many print ads, fashion shows and was a regular in Kmart's national advertising campaigns. At the age of six, Ashlie decided she no longer enjoyed, "having her hair curled" and desired something more interactive, so she began acting classes at the Beverly Hills Acting School.

With great support of her mother and father, Ashlie continued her pursuit in the performing arena with countless dance, singing and acting classes. She aced her first ever television audition, leading her to a co-starring role on the new Disney show Lizzie McGuire (2001). As Lizzie's ex-best friend, Ashlie's character is the popular, pretty and utterly snobby junior high student we all love to hate. Another testament to her acting ability is the fact she can portray this character's attributes with great sincerity, while they are so opposite of her generous spirit and kind soul.

Following the momentous success of the television show, Disney created The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Ashlie jumped at the chance of filming a movie, packed her bags, and traveled to both Canada and Rome for the filming. She relished in the opportunity to improve and diversify her acting skills on this new adventure. She counts the experience of working on her first feature film and working abroad, as one of the best experiences in her life so far.
