The music video opens with Mark Holmes sitting in chair and watching television. He and the band perform against a black background as continues to watch television.

At the beginning of the video there is a crowd in darkness with a luminous paint. The band performs the song in a bright room and then it is distributed among the members throughout the studio with some other people. In addition there are movie effects.

The music video for Phil Collins' hugely successful power ballad, which reached number-one in the United States and number-two in the United Kingdom.

The official music video features Boy George and the rest of the Culture Club members in a Japanese setting, and ends with a woman dressed as a geisha and a man dressed as a karateka trying to extinguish a fire using guitars.

In the music video for the Duran Duran song New Moon on Monday, the band are revolutionaries against an oppressive regime in France, with the help of a beautiful French woman.

The music video to "Adult Education", directed by Tim Pope, takes place in what appears to be a torchlit stone temple or tomb. As Hall and Oates and their band sing, dance and play with modified instruments and ceremonial objects, a middle-aged man in a baseball cap organizes and wields several idols, while chanting.

The video opens at a food processing plant, where Jones works as a caretaker. As the owner arrives on the site, Jones strips off his uniform overalls and begins to sing to the other workers. One of them, a man wearing black/white face paint removes his overalls and begins to dance through the plant. As the owner begins to mop the floor, Jones, the dancer, and several employees pile into his luxury car and drive off. Jones and the dancer next visit an Underground station to perform for the patrons, then visit a window cleaner and get him to take a break from his work. Finally, the two arrive at a public school and interrupt a class of unruly students, who follow them outside to play on the lawn, followed by their teacher.

The video was a clipshow, as are most posthumous Lennon videos.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band performs in the music video "The Runner" from the album "Somewhere in Afrika" recorded for Arista Records. Manfred Mann sings and the band plays the song on a darkened sound stage while clips play from the Olympics including athletes running track and runners carrying the Olympic torch.

The promotional video was shot in a Dutch military training camp, the band performing the song on a stage in front of a backdrop of fires and explosions provided by the Dutch army. Towards the end of the video, the band are seen taking cover and abandoning the stage which was unplanned and genuine since they believed the explosive blasts were getting out of control.
