Robert Downey Jr. has evolved into one of the most respected actors in Hollywood. With an amazing list of credits to his name, he has managed to stay new and fresh even after over four decades in the business.

Downey was born April 4, 1965 in Manhattan, New York, the son of writer, director and filmographer Robert Downey Sr. and actress Elsie Downey (née Elsie Ann Ford). Robert's father is of half Lithuanian Jewish, one quarter Hungarian Jewish, and one quarter Irish, descent, while Robert's mother was of English, Scottish, German, and Swiss-German ancestry. Robert and his sister, Allyson Downey, were immersed in film and the performing arts from a very young age, leading Downey Jr. to study at the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in upstate New York, before moving to California with his father following his parents' 1978 divorce. In 1982, he dropped out of Santa Monica High School to pursue acting full time. Downey Sr., himself a drug addict, exposed his son to drugs at a very early age, and Downey Jr. would go on to struggle with abuse for decades.

Downey Jr. made his debut as an actor at the age of five in the film Pound (1970), written and directed by his father, Robert Downey Sr.. He built his film repertoire throughout the 1980s and 1990s with roles in Tuff Turf (1985), Weird Science (1985), True Believer (1989), and Wonder Boys (2000) among many others. In 1992, Downey received an Academy Award nomination and won the BAFTA (British Academy Award) for Best Actor for his performance in the title role of Chaplin (1992).

In Robert Altman's Short Cuts (1993), he appeared as an aspiring film make-up artist whose best friend commits murder. In Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers (1994), with Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, Downey starred as a tabloid TV journalist who exploits a murderous couple's killing spree to boost his ratings. For the comedy Heart and Souls (1993), Downey starred as a young man with a special relationship with four ghosts. In 1995, Downey starred in Restoration (1995), with Hugh Grant, Meg Ryan and Ian McKellen, directed by Michael Hoffman. Also that year, he starred in Richard III (1995), in which he appears opposite his Restoration (1995) co-star McKellen.

In 1997, Downey was seen in Robert Altman's The Gingerbread Man (1998), alongside Kenneth Branagh, Daryl Hannah and Embeth Davidtz; in One Night Stand (1997), directed by Mike Figgis and starring Wesley Snipes and Nastassja Kinski; and in Hugo Pool (1997), directed by his father, Robert Downey Sr. and starring Sean Penn and Patrick Dempsey. In September of 1999, Downey appeared in Black & White (1999), written and directed by James Toback, along with Ben Stiller, Elijah Wood, Gaby Hoffmann, Brooke Shields and Claudia Schiffer. In January of 1999, he starred with Annette Bening and Aidan Quinn in In Dreams (1999), directed by Neil Jordan.

In 2000, Downey co-starred with Michael Douglas and Tobey Maguire in Wonder Boys (2000), directed by Curtis Hanson. In this dramatic comedy, Downey played the role of a bisexual literary agent. In 2001, Downey made his prime-time television debut when he joined the cast of the Fox-TV series Ally McBeal (1997) as attorney "Larry Paul". For this role, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male in a Comedy Series. In addition, Downey was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

The actor's drug-related problems escalated from 1996 to 2001, leading to arrests, rehab visits and incarcerations, and he was eventually fired from Ally McBeal (1997). Emerging clean and sober in 2003, Downey Jr. began to rebuild his career.

He marked his debut into music with his debut album, titled "The Futurist", on the Sony Classics Label on November 23rd, 2004. The album's eight original songs, that Downey wrote, and his two musical numbers debuting as cover songs revealed his sultry singing voice and his musical talents. Downey displayed his versatility in two different films in October 2003: the musical/drama The Singing Detective (2003), a remake of the BBC hit of the same name, and the thriller Gothika (2003) starring Halle Berry and Penélope Cruz. Downey starred in powerful yet humbling roles inspired by real-life accounts of some of history's most precious kept secrets, including Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly (2006) in 2006 co-starring Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder and Woody Harrelson, and Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) co-starring Nicole Kidman, a film inspired by the life of Diane Arbus, the revered photographer whose images captured attention in the early 1960s. These roles exhibited Downey's momentum from the previous year of 2005, in which he starred in the Academy Award®-nominated feature film Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005), directed by George Clooney and in Shane Black's action comedy Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) co-starring Val Kilmer. In 2007, he co-starred in David Fincher's suspenseful Zodiac (2007), alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo, about the notorious serial killer who haunted San Francisco during the 1970s.

In May 2008, Downey achieved critical acclaim and worldwide box office success for his starring role in Iron Man (2008), Jon Favreau's big-screen rendering of the Marvel comic book superhero. The film co-starred Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard. In August of 2008, Downey starred with Ben Stiller and Jack Black in the comedy Tropic Thunder (2008), and went on to receive an Academy Award®-nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his, Kirk Lazarus.

In December 2009, Downey starred in the action-adventure Sherlock Holmes (2009). The film, directed by Guy Ritchie, co-starred Jude Law and Rachel McAdams and earned Downey a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical in January of 2010. In early Summer 2010, Downey re-teamed with director Jon Favreau and reprised his role as "Tony Stark/Iron Man" in the hugely successful sequel to the original film, Iron Man 2 (2010), starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Mickey Rourke.

Downey next starred in Due Date (2010), a comedy directed by Todd Phillips, in which he plays the role of an expectant father on a road trip racing to get back in time for the birth of his first child. Due Date (2010), starring The Hangover (2009)'s Zach Galifianakis, was released in November 2010.

Downey was honored by Time Magazine's "Time 100" in 2008, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. His laurels include two Academy Award nominations, three Golden Globe wins, numerous other award nominations and wins, and tremendous popular and commercial success, particularly in his roles as Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark (the latter of which he has so far played in Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). For three consecutive years, from 2012 to 2015, Downey has topped the Forbes list of Hollywood's highest-paid actors, making an estimated $80 million in earnings between June 2014 and June 2015.

In 2005, Downey Jr. married Susan Downey, with whom he has two children. Downey also has another son, Indio Falconer Downey, born 1993, from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer, from whom he was officially divorced in 2004.

One of the greatest actors of all time, Robert De Niro was born in 1943, in Manhattan, New York City, to artists Virginia (Admiral) and Robert De Niro Sr.. His paternal grandfather was of Italian descent, and his other ancestry is Irish, English, Dutch, German, and French. He was trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the American Workshop. De Niro first gained fame for his role in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973), but he gained his reputation as a volatile actor in Mean Streets (1973), which was his first film with director Martin Scorsese. He received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather Part II (1974) and received Academy Award nominations for best actor in Taxi Driver (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978) and Cape Fear (1991). He received the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull (1980).

De Niro has earned four Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his work in New York, New York (1977), opposite Liza Minnelli, Midnight Run (1988), Analyze This (1999), and Meet the Parents (2000). Other notable performances include Brazil (1985), The Untouchables (1987), Backdraft (1991), Frankenstein (1994), Heat (1995), Casino (1995), and Jackie Brown (1997). At the same time, he also directed and starred in such films as A Bronx Tale (1993) and The Good Shepherd (2006). De Niro has also received the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2010.

As of 2024, De Niro is 81 years-old. He has never retired from acting, and continues to work regularly in mostly film.

Cheryl Ruth Hines was born on September 21, 1965 in Miami Beach, Florida, to Rosemary (Graham) and James Hines, and grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. She went to West Virginia University, Florida State University and graduated from the University of Central Florida. She studied theater and television production, but it was not until she moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt she had really learned anything about comedy. Her first teacher there was Lisa Kudrow. She learned to improvise and write comedy sketches. This experience helped her prepare for the role of Larry David's wife on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The dialogue on the situation comedy is improvised, so she feels right at home. She still performs at the Groundlings Theater when she has a chance.

Vince McMahon, Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer of WWE, Inc. (WWE), is a third-generation promoter who has made WWE into the global phenomenon it is today.

As a pioneer in the television syndication business, a recognized television personality throughout the world, a visionary promoter and a fearless marketer, he continues to make his presence known as a leader within the broadcast and entertainment industries. In 1972, McMahon joined his father's company, Capitol Wrestling Corporation, on a full-time basis. By 1979, the company had syndicated programming to 30 television stations. In 1982, he purchased the Capitol Wrestling Corporation from his father and decided to take what had been a regional operation and turn it into a national venture.

McMahon soon became an innovator in the cable television industry by leveraging the new technologies of pay-per-view and closed-circuit television for the first WrestleMania in 1985. In 2016, WrestleMania 32 set a new attendance record of 101,763, as fans from all 50 states and 35 countries converged on AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The previous WWE attendance record was at WrestleMania 3 in 1987, where 93,173 fans filled the Pontiac Silverdome.

Today, WWE produces seven hours of live weekly programming 52 weeks a year with no off season. For his accomplishments in entertainment, television, and pay-per-view, McMahon, one of the longest running personalities on television, was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008. He also has received a Promax/BDA Lifetime Achievement Award and has been inducted into the 2008 Cablefax Hall of Fame. He has been included in Variety's annual Variety500 listing since 2017, which honors the most influential business leaders shaping the media industry. In 2019, McMahon was named as one of the Most Influential People in Sports Business by Sports Business Journal.

In recognition of WWE's work to support children over the past 30 years, McMahon, in 2005, was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America's National Advisory Council. He is a tireless supporter of the U.S. military, bringing WWE Superstars to war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2002 to entertain the troops. WWE was the recipient of the USO of Metropolitan Washington's first ever Legacy of Hope award for the company's extensive support of our troops and the USO's Operation Care Package program. In 2006, WWE and McMahon received the Secretary of Defense Exceptional Public Service Award for its support of deployed service members in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2008, the company received the GI Film Festival's Corporate Patriot Award.

Christian Charles Philip Bale was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK on January 30, 1974, to English parents Jennifer "Jenny" (James) and David Bale. His mother was a circus performer and his father, who was born in South Africa, was a commercial pilot. The family lived in different countries throughout Bale's childhood, including England, Portugal, and the United States. Bale acknowledges the constant change was one of the influences on his career choice.

His first acting job was a cereal commercial in 1983; amazingly, the next year, he debuted on the West End stage in "The Nerd". A role in the 1986 NBC mini-series Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna (1986) caught Steven Spielberg's eye, leading to Bale's well-documented role in Empire of the Sun (1987). For the range of emotions he displayed as the star of the war epic, he earned a special award by the National Board of Review for Best Performance by a Juvenile Actor.

Bale was truly on the Hollywood radar at this time, and he turned in a range of performances in the remake Shaft (2000), Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), the balmy Laurel Canyon (2002), and Reign of Fire (2002), a dragons-and-magic commercial misfire that has its share of defenders.

Two more cult films followed: Equilibrium (2002) and The Machinist (2004), the latter of which gained attention mainly due to Bale's physical transformation - he dropped a reported 60+ pounds for the role of a lathe operator with a secret that causes him to suffer from insomnia for over a year.

Bale's abilities to transform his body and to disappear into a character influenced the decision to cast him in Batman Begins (2005), the first chapter in Christopher Nolan's definitive trilogy that proved a dark-themed narrative could resonate with audiences worldwide. The film also resurrected a character that had been shelved by Warner Bros. after a series of demising returns, capped off by the commercial and critical failure of Batman & Robin (1997). A quiet, personal victory for Bale: he accepted the role after the passing of his father in late 2003, an event that caused him to question whether he would continue performing.

Bale segued into two indie features in the wake of Batman's phenomenal success: The New World (2005) and Harsh Times (2005). He continued working with respected independent directors in 2006's Rescue Dawn (2006), Werner Herzog's feature version of his earlier, Emmy-nominated documentary, Little Dieter Needs to Fly (1997). Leading up to the second Batman film, Bale starred in The Prestige (2006), the remake of 3:10 to Yuma (2007), and a reunion with director Todd Haynes in the experimental Bob Dylan biography, I'm Not There (2007).

Anticipation for The Dark Knight (2008) was spun into unexpected heights with the tragic passing of Heath Ledger, whose performance as The Joker became the highlight of the sequel. Bale's graceful statements to the press reminded us of the days of the refined Hollywood star as the second installment exceeded the box-office performance of its predecessor.

Bale's next role was the eyebrow-raising decision to take over the role of John Connor in the Schwarzenegger-less Terminator Salvation (2009), followed by a turn as federal agent Melvin Purvis in Michael Mann's Public Enemies (2009). Both films were hits but not the blockbusters they were expected to be.

For all his acclaim and box-office triumphs, Bale would earn his first Oscar in 2011 in the wake of The Fighter (2010)'s critical and commercial success. Multiple Emmy- and Golden Globe-winner Martin Sheen is one of America's most celebrated, colorful, and accomplished actors. Moving flawlessly between artistic mediums, Sheen's acting range is striking.

Sheen was born Ramón Antonio Gerard Estevez in Dayton, Ohio, to Mary-Ann (Phelan), an Irish immigrant (from Borrisokane, County Tipperary), and Francisco Estevez, a Spanish-born factory worker and machinery inspector (from Parderrubias, Galicia). On the big screen, Sheen has appeared in more than 65 feature films including a star turn as Army Captain Benjamin L. Willard in Francis Ford Coppola's landmark film Apocalypse Now (1979), which brought Sheen worldwide recognition. The film also starred Marlon Brando, Dennis Hopper and Robert Duvall. Killian Scott was born on 6 July 1985 in Sandymount, Dublin, Ireland. He is an actor and writer, known for '71 (2014), Calvary (2014) and Damnation (2017).

Isabela Yolanda Moner, now officially Isabela Merced, is an American actress, voice actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, and ukulele player. She is known for Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018), Instant Family (2018), and the title role in Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019). Merced also starred in the Nickelodeon television series "100 Things to Do Before High School." She made her Broadway debut at age 10 in a production of "Evita." Her film debut was "The House That Jack Built" (2013).

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Katherine, a Peruvian from Lima, and Patrick Moner, who was born in Louisiana, and has Polish and Slovak ancestry. She is the middle child of her family; she has an older brother, Jared, and a younger brother, Gyovanni.

Jelena Noura "Gigi" Hadid is an American model. She was signed to IMG Models in 2013. In November 2014, Hadid made her debut in the Top 50 Models ranking at Models. In 2016, she was named International Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council.

Gigi Hadid was born and raised in Los Angeles to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid (née Van den Herik). Her mother is a Dutch-born American, and her father is Palestinian-American. Through her father she claims descent from Daher Al Omer, Prince of Nazareth and the Sheik of Galilee. Isabella Khairiah "Bella" Hadid was born on October 9, 1996 in Washington, D.C. & raised in Los Angeles, California to real-estate developer Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid. Her mother is a Dutch-born American, and her father is Palestinian American. Hadid has two siblings, an older sister named Gigi, who is also a model, and a younger brother, Anwar. She has two older half-sisters, Marielle and Alana, on her father's side.

Usher Raymond IV was born in Dallas, Texas, to Jonetta Patton (née O'Neal) and Usher Raymond III. He began singing when he was six years old, joining the local church choir at the behest of his mother who acted as choir director. Jonetta, a single mom, raised Usher and his younger brother, James, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before moving the family to Atlanta, Georgia, when Usher was 12 years old. Cited by the singer as his best friend, Usher's mother continues to guide the teen star's career as his manager, a duty she assumed after quitting her full-time office job several years ago. Upon moving to Atlanta, Usher began participating in various local talent shows. It was at one such exhibition, in 1992, that he was spotted by Bryant Reid, brother of L.A. Jermaine Jackson is an American singer from Gary, Indiana, and a member of the Jackson family which has been active in show-business for generations. Jermaine himself has been active as a singer since his childhood. He was both the second vocalist and the bass guitarist of the pop band "The Jackson Five" from 1964 to 1975. He rejoined the renamed group in 1983, and has remained with it through several breakups and reunions. He also had several top-30 hits of his own in a solo career.

In December 1954, Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana. The city was founded in 1906 by the United States Steel Corporation, and was primarily known as a center for the steel industry. It is located within the Chicago metropolitan area, at a distance of 25 miles (40 km) from downtown Chicago. Jackson was the fourth child born to Joe Jackson (1928-2018) and his wife Katherine Jackson (1930-, born under the name Kattie B. Screws). Joe was a guitarist for the band "The Falcons", and Katherine was a pianist and singer. Neither of them had a particularly lucrative career, and Joe worked at times as a steel mill worker.

Along with some of his brothers, Jackson practiced his own songs with his father's guitar at an early age. Their mother taught them to sing harmonies, and they founded their own band in 1964. Joe realized that his sons could become more successful than he ever was, and started training them under a strict regimen.

"The Jackson 5" signed a contract with Steeltown Records in November, 1967. In January 1968, they released their first single under the title "Big Boy". In 1969, the band signed a new contract with Motown Records. Motown had been one of the leading record labels of the 1960s, and was better able to promote their songs. Jackson started a romantic relationship with Hazel Gordy, daughter of the Motown founder Berry Gordy (1929-). The couple were married in 1973.

"The Jackson 5" became Motown's main marketing focus in the early 1970s. Their name has used on an ever-increasing number of merchandise, and they were even used as the main inspiration for a Saturday morning cartoon by the animation studio Rankin/Bass. However, the Jackson siblings were increasingly displeased with Motown's practices in the field of royalties. They were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown. In June 1975, the band signed a more lucrative contract with Epic Records. But Jackson remain loyal to Motown and left the band.

Jackson had already enjoyed solo success with his 1972 cover of the song "Daddy's Home", which had sold sold over one million copies. His subsequent solo hit songs were "That's How Love Goes", "Let's Be Young Tonight", "Bass Odyssey", "Feel the Fire", "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy" , "Let's Get Serious" , "Dynamite", "Do What You Do" , and "I Think It's Love". Jermaine decided to rejoin the renamed band "The Jacksons" in 1983, and worked on their album "Victory".

In 1984, Jackson and his brother Michael released the duet song "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' (Too Good to Be True)". It received a lot of airplay. It peaked at 6th place on the Radio and Records' Top 40 chart, a chart based solely on airplay. It also reached the 1st place on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. However, there was a legal dispute between the record labels Epic and Arista over who owned the rights to this song. Due to this dispute, the song had only a limited distribution on records. Jermaine and Michael both provided guest vocals on the hit song "Somebody's Watching Me" (1984) by Rockwell.

In October 1984, Jackson and Pia Zadora collaborated on the duet song "When the Rain Begins to Fall". It was only moderately successful in the United States, but became a smash hit in Europe during 1985. It topped the charts in Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and West Germany. Cover versions of the song by other singers have also enjoyed chart success, decades following the song's initial release.

In 1989, Jackson released the single "Don't Take It Personal". It peaked at 64th place on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart, and on the 1st place at the R&B chart. This was his last song to rank highly at any chart. Also in 1989, "The Jacksons" released the studio album "2300 Jackson Street". Despite receiving critical praise, the album peaked at 59th place on the Billboard Top Pop Albums. Disappointed with their declining commercial success, the band disbanded. Jackson's music career declined during the 1990s, though some of his stage performances managed to attract crowds. In 1997, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with other members of "The Jackson 5". In 2001, "The Jacksons" reunited for two performances at Madison Square Garden. They were celebrating the 30h anniversary of Michael Jackson's debut performance as a solo singer.

In 2007, Jackson was a contestant at the "Celebrity Big Brother UK". He acted as a peaceful mediator between his arguing housemates, receiving attention from the press. While staying in the United Kingdom, Jackson voiced support for an anti-racism campaign which was financed by the magazine "Searchlight". In 2008, Jackson served as a guest judge for the music show "Australian Idol". That same year, he was invited as the guest of honor at the "Muslim Writers Awards" in Birmingham.

From December 2009 to January 2010, Jackson and several of his brothers appeared in the reality television series "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty". Jackson had previously refused to collaborate with his brothers for a 2011 tribute concert in Cardiff.. He reportedly felt that the concert capitalized on the publicity for an ongoing manslaughter trial, which was based on the suspicious death of Michael Jackson. .

In October 2012, Jackson released his solo album "I Wish You Love". It was his first solo album since 1991, and consisted mostly of cover song renditions of previous Jazz hits. The album was produced by the French singer David Serero through his private record label. Jackson and Serero also recorded the duet song "Autumn Leaves". They performed together in the musical "You Are Not Alone: The Musical" (2013).

In 2015, Jackson was in the news for his private life. In November 2015, his third wife Halima Rashid was arrested on charges of domestic violence. She had reportedly been abusing Jackson during their marriage. Rashid herself filed a petition for divorce in June 2016. Jackson had no children with Rashid, but had fathered 7 children from previous relationships.

Wilson USMC, Wilson and her family moved around a lot, before eventually settling in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue, WA. Ann attended Interlake High School in Bellevue. In the early 70s, she joined the group, "White Heart". The band changed its named to "Hocus Pocus" before changing the name a third and final time to Heart in 1974. "Heart" has recorded a handful of albums and enjoyed a steady succession of hit songs throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Wilson sung the duet, "Almost Paradise", with Mike Reno for the soundtrack of the hit movie, Footloose (1984); this song peaked at #7 on the US Billboard pop radio charts. In 2007, Wilson released the solo album, "Hope & Glory", on the Rounder record label. She lives in Seattle, Washington and is the mother of two adopted children: daughter Marie and son Dustin.
