It's fantastic. Very original story presented in a quite unique fashion. It's on Netflix. Watch it! - Jay (Germany) - DirectorsLogan GeorgeCeline HeldStarsDylan O'BrienEliza ScanlenCaroline FalkWhen an 8-year-old girl disappears on Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to link together, altering a broken family's history.8,5 Stars
Engaging, smart and well-paced. Don't read/watch anything about it and watch it. - Markus (Germany) - DirectorJoachim LangStarsRobert StadloberFritz KarlFranziska WeiszNazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels is in charge of building public support for the Holocaust and for the war that Hitler is about to start.8,2 Stars
Sensational. And oppressive. Robert Stadlober should at least get an Oscarnomination for this. Very important film and comment on our own times, heck, this week. It happened and it can happen again. Everywhere in the world. Please watch it. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorJacques AudiardStarsZoe SaldañaKarla Sofía GascónSelena GomezIt follows three remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness. Cartel leader Emilia enlists unappreciated lawyer Rita to help fake her death so that she can finally live authentically as her true self.8,26 Stars
for me one of the masterpieces of this year. A Mexican gangster wants to have a sex change and start a new life as a woman... but he/she doesn't want to give up his/her children. And all of this as a dark musical drama. Great actors, including Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez! A film that will touch you! - DanielH (Germany) - DirectorRich PeppiattStarsMóglaí BapMo CharaDJ PróvaiWhen fate brings Belfast teacher JJ into the orbit of self-confessed "low life scum" Naoise and Liam Óg, the needle drops on a hip hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish, they lead a movement to save their mother tongue.8,22 Stars
In this fiercely original sex, drugs and hip-hop biopic KNEECAP play themselves, laying down a global rallying cry for the defense of native cultures. And they do this with so much verve, cinematic bravura and dirty jokes that it's a pure joy to go on that ride with them. They also act like they never did anything else in their life. I didn't know that there is a band with that name and the origin story that the movie tells may be exaggerated for sure, but it seems consistent with their overall attitude in taking nothing too seriously. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorGeorge MillerStarsAnya Taylor-JoyChris HemsworthTom BurkeThe origin story of renegade warrior Furiosa before her encounter and teamup with Mad Max.8,18 Stars
Very cool, that's what cinema is made for! - Daniel (Germany) - DirectorYorgos LanthimosStarsEmma StoneJesse PlemonsWillem DafoeA man seeks to break free from his predetermined path, a cop questions his wife's demeanor after her return from a supposed drowning, and a woman searches for an extraordinary individual prophesied to become a renowned spiritual guide.8,12 Stars
Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone did it again. Completely different to 'Poor Things' but nonetheless very original. A Kafkaesque Grotesque of 3 episodish stories. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorTi WestStarsCharley Rowan McCainSimon PrastMia GothIn 1980s Hollywood, adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.8,1 Stars

Not your usual crime flick. -Jay (Germany) - DirectorDavid LeitchStarsRyan GoslingEmily BluntAaron Taylor-JohnsonA stuntman, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job.8 Stars
Epic. A near to perfect action comedy stunt love letter to everything we love about the movies. A good summary to answer why I'm lost in the carnival of film forever. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorBlandine LenoirStarsIzïa HigelinSophie GuilleminJean-Pierre DarroussinA woman who returns to her hometown to spend time with her family as buried memories, unspoken truths and long-buried secrets bubble up to the surface8 Stars

Straight forward horror flick. Feels in the beginning like Silence of the Lambs and in the end more like Rosemarys Baby. A curios and uncomfortable movie that leaves you in that state after the credits rolled. But I can't say it's a bad film. Even if it is. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorAdam CooperStarsRussell CroweKaren GillanMarton CsokasAn ex-homicide detective with memory loss is forced to solve a brutal murder, only to uncover chilling secrets from his forgotten past.8 Stars
Nice Whodunnit. Kind of like they did in the 80's and 90's. I like that Russel Crow not only still delivers but is obviously looking rather for a good script than just paying the rent. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorJames WatkinsStarsJames McAvoyMackenzie DavisScoot McNairyA family is invited to spend a whole weekend in a lonely home in the countryside, but as the weekend progresses, they realize that a dark side lies within the family who invited them.8 Stars
One of the creepiest films I saw in a long time. Wow. Just wow. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorDan ReedStarsAlyssa Farah GriffinWilliam BarrRonald HansenAn inside account of President Trump's challenge to the results of the 2020 presidential election as told by former White House staff and appointees.8 Stars
An excellent documentary that traces the follow up of the 2020 election and Trump's claim it was stolen from him. The interesting thing is that the most people interviewed are Republicans that oversaw the election. We all remember the weeks that lead to January 6th vividly. To get a compressed view of it with this documentary is pretty scary. Let's hope this lying narcissistic authoritarian will never come to power again. - Jay (Germany) - DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsAdam DriverGiancarlo EspositoNathalie EmmanuelThe city of New Rome faces the duel between Cesar Catilina, a brilliant artist in favor of a Utopian future, and the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero. Between them is Julia Cicero, with her loyalty divided between her father and her beloved.8 Stars
I seem to be one of the few people who really enjoyed Megalopolis. From start to finish, Coppola managed to take me into a bizarre world, full of family intrigue and a narrative chaos that Shakespeare and the Romans couldn't have done better! Added to that are stunning shots and an impressive cast. And the 140 minutes don't bother me either, and I find the film different and refreshing compared to many other films this year. It even has the potential to land in my top 10 of the year! - DanielH (Germany) - DirectorEmmanuel CourcolStarsBenjamin LavernhePierre LottinSarah SucoAcclaimed conductor Thibaut has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donor. Learning he was adopted, he finds an older brother, a musician and factory worker. Their reunion sparks a fraternal, musical journey amidst the town's factory closure.8 Stars
