Lance Barber was born in Battle Creek, Michigan. His father, an Army military police officer, was killed in line of duty when Barber was one year old. His mother raised him by herself in Battle Creek. When Lance was seven years old, he saw a production of Grease, fell in love of acting, and decided that's what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

He graduated from Pennfield High School in 1991, then attended Kellogg Community College, where he performed in school productions while earning his associate's degree. After a year at the Barn Theatre, where he worked with Jennifer Garner, he moved to Chicago and tried his luck at the famed Second City under Del Close. A slight comic actor chiefly known for his boyish charm, Matthew Broderick was born on March 21, 1962 in New York City, to Patricia Broderick (née Biow), a playwright and painter, and James Broderick, an actor. Best known for his cerebral, often nonlinear, storytelling, acclaimed Academy Award winner writer/director/producer Sir Christopher Nolan CBE was born in London, England. Over the course of more than 25 years of filmmaking, Nolan has gone from low-budget independent films to working on some of the biggest blockbusters ever made and became one of the most celebrated filmmakers of modern cinema.

At 7 years old, Nolan began making short films with his father's Super-8 camera. While studying English Literature at University College London, he shot 16-millimeter films at U.C.L.'s film society, where he learned the guerrilla techniques he would later use to make his first feature, Following (1998), on a budget of around $6,000. The noir thriller was recognized at a number of international film festivals prior to its theatrical release and gained Nolan enough credibility that he was able to gather substantial financing for his next film.

In 2010, Nolan captivated audiences with the Sci-Fi thriller Inception (2010), starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, which he directed and produced from his own original screenplay that he worked on for almost a decade. The thought-provoking drama was a worldwide blockbuster, earning more than $800,000,000 and becoming one of the most discussed and debated films of the year, and of all times. Among its many honors, Inception received four Academy Awards and eight nominations, including Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Nolan was recognized by his peers with a W.G.A. Award accolade, as well as D.G.A. and P.G.A. Awards nominations for his work on the film.

As one of the best-reviewed and highest-grossing movies of 2012, The Dark Knight Rises (2012) concluded Nolan's Batman trilogy. Due to his success rebooting the Batman character, Warner Bros. enlisted Nolan to produce their revamped Superman movie Man of Steel (2013), which opened in the summer of 2013. In 2014, Nolan directed, wrote, and produced the Science-Fiction epic Interstellar (2014), starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. released the film on November 5, 2014, to positive reviews and strong box-office results, grossing over $670 million dollars worldwide.

In July 2017, Nolan released his acclaimed War epic Dunkirk (2017), that earned him his first Best Director nomination at the Academy Awards, as well as winning an additional 3 Oscars. In 2020 he released his mind-bending Sci-Fi espionage thriller Tenet (2020) starring John David Washington in the lead role. Released during the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie grossed relatively less than Nolan's previous blockbusters, though it did do good numbers compared to other movies in that period of time. Hailed as Nolan's most complex film yet, the film was one of Nolan's less-acclaimed films at the time, yet slowly built a fan-base following in later years.

In July 2023, Nolan released his highly acclaimed biographic drama Oppenheimer (2023) starring Nolan's frequent collaborator Cillian Murphy- in the lead role for the first time in a Nolan film. The movie was a cultural phenomenon that on top of grossing almost 1 billion dollars at the Worldwide Box office, also swept the 2023/2024 award-season and gave Nolan his first Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, D.G.A. and P.G.A. Awards, as well as a handful of regional critics-circles awards and a W.G.A. nomination. Cillian's performance as quantum physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer was highly acclaimed as well, and became the first lead performance in a Nolan film to win the Academy Award.

During 2023, Nolan also received a fellowship from the British Film Institute (BFI). In March 2024, it was announced that Nolan is to be knighted by King Charles III and from now on will go by the title 'Sir Christopher Nolan'.

Nolan resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Academy Award winner producer Dame Emma Thomas, and their children. Sir Nolan and Dame Thomas also have their own production company, Syncopy.

Michael Fred Phelps II was born in Towson, Maryland, to Deborah Sue (Davisson), a middle school principal, and Michael Fred Phelps, a state trooper. Before the 2004 Olympics started, rumor had it that 19 year-old Phelps was thinking of trying to match or even surpass Mark Spitz's legendary seven gold medals record. By his fourth race with one gold and two bronze it was obvious he couldn't tie it but instead he could match Russian gymnast's Alexander Dityatin's record of eight medals in one Olympics. Every race after the two bronze he came away with gold. After his seventh race he did a truly noble thing by handing over his butterfly leg on the 4 x 200m Freestyle relay to Ian Crocker a temporary rival and now a friend. To everyone this was deemed the most selfless act of the games but to Michael it was just giving his team mate another chance. Throughout the entire week of competition he barely managed to sleep so when he finally got to rest he went to check out how the dominant women's teams were doing and enjoying the culture and atmosphere in Athens. The success in Athens was amazing. He surpassed fellow American, Mark Spitz's record of 7 gold medals, that were set in the 1972 Olympic Games, at Munich, Germany, 36 years earlier. In Beijing 2008: Games of the XXIX Olympiad (2008), after record tying seventh gold medal, Mark Spitz personally called Michael Phelps and congratulated him for his historic feats and records, he achieved in Beijing, China, were well watched as Mark Spitz's record were tied and broken, by Phelps, as he and teammates were 8 for 8, in 2008. All are first place gold medals!

Carrie Preston continues to reprise her Emmy Award-winning role as the astute but unconventional attorney 'Elsbeth Tascioni' in the hit CBS series, Elsbeth. The beloved character was first introduced in the acclaimed series The Good Wife on the network and appeared in The Good Fight on Paramount+. Elsbeth premiered to rave reviews with New York Times stating Carrie "reigns as the queen of quirk." The successful series has been picked up for a third season, which she is set to also produce.

Preston spent four seasons starring as Polly in the TNT series, Claws. Prior to that, she played Arlene Fowler for seven seasons on HBO's true Blood, while also recurring for five seasons on the Network's Person of Interest, playing the love interest to her real-life husband, Michael Emerson. Other major TV series include the co-leading role in the NBC sitcom Crowded, ABC's LGBTQ rights-driven miniseries When We Rise, and arcs opposite Hank Azaria in Brockmire and Joshua Jackson in Dr. Death. Her extensive list of guest star appearances includes ABC's Lost and Desperate Housewives.

Carrie made her feature film debut in Julia Robert's blockbuster "My Best Friends' Wedding" and other notable film roles include scene-stealing roles in "Duplicity," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," the Oscar-nominated "Transamerica" (as Felicity Huffman's sister), "That Evening Sun" with Hal Holbrook, with Joe Cole in "One of These Days" and "To The Bone" with Keanu Reeves and Lily Collins. She played Kevin Bacon's wife in two films: the Kyra Sedgwick-helmed "Space Oddity" and "They/Them." She received praise for her role opposite Paul Giamatti in Alexander Payne's Oscar-winning film, "The Holdovers".

Trained at Juilliard, Carrie made her Broadway debut playing Miranda to Patrick Stewart's Prospero in "The Tempest" and later played Honey with Stewart and Mercedes Ruehl in "Who's Afraid of Virgnia Woolf?" at The Guthrie Theater. Other stage work includes "Festen" with Jeremy Sisto and Julianna Margulies, "The Rivals," "Antony and Cleopatra" with Vanessa Redgrave, and playing Mia Farrow's daughter in James Lapine's "Fran's Bed."

Carrie is also a sought-after director. Television credits include two episodes of THE Good Fight, two episodes of Showtime's Your Honor, and two episodes of claws, in which she also starred. She also directed the Sundance Film Festival feature "That's What She Said" starring the late Anne Heche, Marcia DeBonis, and Alia Shawkat.

Carrie lives in New York City with her husband Michael and their adopted dog, Chumley. In her free time, Carrie supports LGBTQIA+ rights and GLAAD, is an honorary board member for the new play development organization, The New Harmony Project, and is a supporter of Parkinson's Research while also working with the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
