It's an action-packed Formula 1 schedule at the Miami Grand Prix today (Saturday, May 3) with qualifying set to follow sprint race action.
The Miami International Autodrome has already seen plenty of F1 action this weekend, with both FP1 and sprint qualifying taking place on Friday.
Oscar Piastri and his McLaren team arrive at Miami International Autodrome leading both championships.
But it is Mercedes’ teenage sensation Kimi Antonelli who will start today’s 30-minute sprint race from pole ahead of the two papaya cars.
While there are championship points on offer to the top-eight finishers, attention will swiftly turn to qualifying for Sunday’s grand prix, which takes place later today.
Many questions remain about the pecking order of the F1 field heading into Sprint qualifying ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri was fastest for McLaren in the sole practice session, but the likes of Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli did not get to complete their soft tyre runs due to Ollie Bearman's crash with four minutes to go.
Russell and Antonelli were running one-two after the medium tyre runs, and did not set a time on the softer rubber.
