- He had another wedding ceremony with his wife Nancy on 26 June 1999 in Santa Barbara, California. This was to compensate for the original marriage (in City Hall in 1992), when they didn't have much money. Their daughter Stephanie was the flower-girl.
- Runs the Boston Marathon to raise awareness of youth programs for The Salvation Army.

- Grew up in Milton, but spent much time in the Bahamas, as most of his relatives on his father's side lived there.

- David and Nanci's daughter, Stephanie, was born 15 March 1993.
- Inducted into the Town of Milton [Ontario, Canada] Walk of Fame.
