Tex Schramm by walking down the stadium stairs at the 50-yard-line, provocatively dressed and carrying cotton candy in each hand. Schramm decided the Cowboys needed a cheerleading team with uniforms similar to what Cash wore. In 1969, men were dropped from the co-ed Cowboys cheerleaders, the "Cow Belles and Beaux," and the all-female squad remaining became known as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
